It's an okay store but really don't understand why you would need to ask a 38 YEAR OLD. For Id to buy tobacco..

I must leave Walmart. I'm done with Walmart…read more July 7, 2026 5:25 pm I stopped at the Ft. Wright Walmart Super centers 3450 VALLEY PLAZA PKWY, FT WRIGHT, KY 41017 to get some lunch meat, bread, cheese, etc. I've been patronizing this Walmart for about 20 years, as this Walmart is on my way home, and the prices are reasonable. During my SELF Checkout- there was a (presumably a Walmart employee) lady, I couldn't tell if she was a Walmart employee because she did not have a name badge, or vest of any sort. I was trying to weigh some fruit or something. She kind of jerked my stuff around and looked at me funny and wouldn't talk to me. I ask her her name because she had no name badge, and she looked at me like I was weird or something. I only have one eye so it took me a little longer to self check out and I stoop and shake because of my severe scoliosis, and plates in my neck. So every time she deemed necessary, she came over and interrupted me and moved my things around. It's kinda like there was a language barrier? I guess she is maybe a DEI hire, she seemed to be Hindu or something of the sort. The red dot on her forehead gave her away, I didn't know Walmart introduced spiritual awakening, or prayer at their stores. I was confused. I have several Hindu friends, but that's not the point, it was the language barrier I guess? But no Walmart name tag, i've finished up my order and tried to use my debit card, the computer screen said 29 items, so now the machine wouldn't let me complete my checkout, the computer needed an associate approval. The lady came over and scanned some kind of card from her pocket (name badge?) and them a video played of the two cans of sockeye red salmon that she scanned herself? I was then able to pay for my food. I guess she came over to me for five times during the checkout . She did try to be helpful. I think but demeanor is everything when there's a language and name badge barrier. However after completing my checkout, I did advise the manager (in private) that she had no name tag and she was NOT very cordial, the manager of Walmart explained to me, that Walmart has a policy that all employees MUST wear Walmart name tags. I also explained to the manager how rude this lady was. About jerking my produce around .... It seems this whole thing was non conforming to American standards. I'm done with Walmart.

I asked if she was speaking to me, and if so, I didn't understand what she shouted. Checked in and immediately informed there no oil filter for my car. I requested and she refused to call another Walmart store to locate one. I was told to go to Auto Zone, buy it, bring it in sometime and then they would & to do the oil change. DISSATISFIED!

I love a good banana shake!!…read more We've been buying the tubs of ice cream but decided to try the shakes. It was amazing. They use real bananas for their banana shakes. I ordered two regular shakes and was kind of disappointed that they weren't filled up all the way. About half an inch of gap in the cup for both. A younger guy helped us out. He had an earphone in one ear and was talking very quietly, so we couldn't really make out what he was saying when he asked us questions. Service could improve in that aspect, but overall, our items were good and we will return.

Around 4:00 pm the two female employees were incredibly unprofessional and showed zero customer service skills. One was walking around loudly (and sarcastically) saying "I love my job, I love my job, I love my job" simply because she had to step away from the counter to help customers--making the entire situation uncomfortable for everyone in line. The other girl refused service to a customer because she didn't like the way the customer called her out on solving a problem because she didn't know how to make a malt. I was in the store for less than five minutes and witnessed both of these employees being rude, entitled, and immature. As a business owner myself, I would be appalled if my staff ever treated customers this way. With the attitudes and lack of customer service skills I witnessed, I doubt either of these employees will be able to hold a job for any length of time.

I am a regular shopper at this fine establishment and am rarely disappointed ... That being said this visit was sadly not one of the best ever and uncharacteristically inconvenient. Normally I visit to randomly browse promising myself I will only spend $20 and invariably end up buying enough to redecorate a room in my house with a matching wardrobe, accessories, and something to snack on as I drive home. Today was unusual because I had a specific task: Buy the Game of LIFE to play this retro-gem this evening with my children. They had Clue, 15 kinds of Monopoly, Jenga, Scrabble, Sorry, Settlers of Catan, Risk.... but not even an empty space where LIFE should be in case of being sold out. Work with me Target!! You are usually more inclusive- so much so that I don't have to take a trip over to the always entertaining but sometimes scary world of Wal-Mart... which I am not doing today either. Going to give Meijers a try first ‍
