I usually do the self check out and only have to involve someone when they need to check id for beer but they always seem to respond quickly and on this day there was not wait at the self checkout. Their produce is nice and they have a great selection. The prices are decent and they have great season ending clothes and shoe sales. I also used the deli today and the folks that waited on me today were friendly and quick. Although deli prices have gone sky high lately but that is no fault of Meijer.

There have been so many businesses go out in the five years since I've been to town. But in looking for the Walmart, which was also MIA, I came across this Big Lots, also the Hobby Lobby. I went in the store and ask the first clerk I came across if I could ask her some questions while she was working and found out why the other shopping center was so empty and everybody had moved down here. Evidently there is a city project that may or may not happen but if it did it was going to use up the land those stores were on so they all moved down the way. That actually makes them closer to the motel I'm staying at which is fine with me because it was a bit of a drive to go all the way down to the Mounds Mall area to the craft stores. After talking and getting the information I followed the clerk's directions to the office supply section where I did not find the Scotch tape I was looking for in the size I wanted, half inch wide. I wandered around a bit after that and ended up finding a perfume knock off of my favorite fragrance, remembered that I was almost out of ibuprofen so I got that, a pretty lavender nail polish, some Q-tips, soap holder, and a Kirk's Castile soap that are usually $3 to $4 that they were selling for $1.20.
