They knew I was waiting while looking at my things and never called me up or texted me that the order was ready. I sat another 15-20 minutes. When I approached the counter, the woman said, "it's been ready for a while". I said, no one told me and you knew I was waiting. Zero response. I thought it was really rude and annoying. Small boutique with one part coverage most of the time, which isn't the issue; the lack of customer service when I walk into the location and one other guest may be in the store, that's the issue. Not a "hello" or even a look up and glance - very petite boutique where you can see anyone coming in and out. Recommend scheduling more attentive associates when it's one part coverage to avoid missed sales opportunities

I didn't expect to hear that it was a chain. Come to find out that they have locations in almost every state. I guess I am behind the times! They sell cute funky pattered shirts and dresses, super cute jewelry, little gift items, and accessories. It's a little expensive, but at least you won't have the same dress as everyone else. It reminds me of the store Anthropologie but less expensive.

Lux & Ivy is that store for those of us who love unique clothing and want other people to do the heavy lifting. I saw so many items that I loved (including some gold sandals), but I left with a long black skirt that had cork buttons running down it. See what I mean about unique?! It fit perfectly, and even better: It was 20% off! Even without the discount, the skirt (and the other thrifted clothing on the racks) were priced reasonably. Lux & Ivy offers not just clothing and shoes, but also jewelry made by local artists, beauty products, vintage home goods, bags and lots more. The store is cute and smells good, the clothing and products are all arranged nicely, and it's just a pleasant place to shop.

Lucky for me there was a big sign at the front door that said "90% off clearance sale". There were select items marked throughout the store that were on sale. The first rack I saw though was all designer items with really high prices and I thought maybe this wasn't the place for me as I am a thrifter and like to keep my fashion budget on the low side. I was pleasantly surprised with what I was able to find though. The gals that worked there were super helpful and answered the couple of questions that I had. I ended up with 5 items and I spent just $15 on those, what a deal! I will stop in again sometime to look as I had forgotten what was available in this store.

The merchandise is high end, name brand. They carry men's, women's and children's clothing and shoes and a small section of seasonal household decor. Yesterday, I bought several gifts. The store was decorated with a pianist playing Christmas music. I found exactly what wanted and an associate carefully took the information for wrapping and sending. I saw several other things I wanted, including Christmas outfits for my granddaughters. I left without buying, but later in the day decided my girls needed those outfits. I called the store and Deidreana found the outfits and put them on hold until I got back over there. The outfits were even on sale. Returns/exchanges are easy. They put gift receipts in each package. The store is always immaculate and has lovely restrooms. There is plenty of parking around the store, although parking fills during the holiday shopping season. I recommend and will probably go back this week myself.

I maybe go in Von Maur once a season, and it is even more noticeable at least to me, when you visit a store in longer intervals. They do have excellent eye-catching merch displays and still focused on upscale dressing and seemed like every section had a sales associate to help and areas were upkept. They are targeting heavily toward the older higher income demographics. It is especially telling when you listen to their choice of piano music in them. I would think a salesclerk would go a bit bonkers hearing taped renditions over and over of sickeningly sweet instrumental earworm inducing oldies all day long. I'm surprised this mall chain has lasted, as it hasn't really changed with the times. As times get ever more difficult with less to spend in this way, it will be interesting to see how this chain reacts.

There weren't very many customers in the store, so there was a team of employees working on merchandising in my vicinity. One, who might have been a manager, checked to make sure I was finding everything okay. I love being checked on, but not in excess, so that little gesture was perfect because they left me alone to shop after that. But it was nice knowing they were there to answer any questions.
