She listened to our needs and wants, as well as our budget. She didn't try and push us toward anything we did not want. In fact, she was able to put us in a new vehicle for less than we thought possible instead of the used one we initially inquired about through Autotrader. No pressure sales, signing and delivery took less than an hour. Plus, they gave us good value for our trade. Worth the 2 hour drive to pick up our new truck! Will be back!

This is our experience with Justin Mattingly of Toliver Ford in Sulphur Springs, Tx. This previous…read moresummer. We were considering buying a used 2015 Lincoln MKT from Justin but it had two big problems (1) the backup camera wasn't working and (2) the leather on the armrest of the drivers side was split all along the seam with the interior padding protruding. He attempted to get management to pay for the armrest repair if we paid for the camera repair. They refused so Justin told us he'd pay for the armrest repair himself out of his own pocket, as long as we could find someone to repair it for under $200. We agreed and bought the car. At the time I had just undergone lung cancer surgery and my husband had simultaneously wrecked our only truck so we needed the car to get back/forth to the numerous doc appts, tests and treatments that followed. I told Justin we couldn't take the car in right away for the armrest repair because it was our only means of transportation to all this medical stuff, at least until my husbands truck came back from the repair shop. I kept Justin updated regularly during that time and he said he understood & said it was fine, no hurry. It took nearly 2 mos. to get our truck back to where we could put the car in for repair. The upholstery place agreed to do it for $200 but said they first needed Justin to call & assure them that he'd take care of the charges. However, despite repeated calls and texts pleading for Justin to do this and him assuring me he would, it never happened. He kept indicating he'd do it but another 2-3 weeks would pass and the shop never got his call. At one point Justin used the excuse that he'd decided to just send me a check instead. He said he didn't feel comfortable giving the upholstery shop his credit card so he feigned having sent me a check for the agreed upon amount, following it with "Oh you didn't get the check I sent you?" (Mind you, he didn't even have our address in order to do this!) And he followed with "I'll check with my bank to make sure it didn't clear and I'll send you another check." Needless to say, this didn't happen either. This runaround dragged out & continued for literally the last few months. Josh, the owner at Clamons Upholstery in Mineola, bless his heart...he knew what I was going through with my cancer battle and everything that'd happened with the car and finally, after months of trying to get Justin to keep his word, Josh finally told me he wanted to repair the car for us at no charge - and he did. I insisted he at least let us pay for his materials. But what a godsend he was. I know I should never have taken a car salesman like Justin at his word but after talking to him about how God had been there for us through my cancer diagnosis & sickness - and his testimony about his own faith in God - I was duped into thinking he was the Christian young man he portrayed himself to be. Consequently, the whole transaction was very disappointing. Granted, $200 wasn't a lot of money but it was the principle of the thing. We're elderly and old school, where a man's word is his bond. I have text documentation to back up every single thing I've said here, to anyone who cares to see it. Justin has his sales routine down to a fine art and there's total deception on every level. Buyers beware. It's because of the disreputable ones like him that car salesmen continue to have such a bad name. He not only took advantage of the elderly but also of someone in the midst of trying to cope & deal with a lung cancer diagnosis & surgery. And he never blinked an eye while lying to us. I felt like others should know not to trust him and I hope that Toliver Ford, whom I'd actually heard good things about prior to our going there, realizes what a liability it could be having someone like him on their team who spews out whatever it takes to make the sale with no intention of keeping his word.

Keeping in mind it is a used dealership so the car is not perfect but it was great condition in my opinion and the overall negotiated price was more than reasonable. The van did come with some odd tires and one bald one. I called them the next day to see if they wanted an opportunity to remedy the situation and remedy they did. They assisted me in getting some new tires even though the vehicle was already bought "as is". I have also had a mechanic thoroughly inspect the vehicle and was told it is in great shape. All in all, as long as you keep in mind it is a small used car dealer I think this is a great place to shop. I will definitely stop by my next time.

I've been in different locations where I would be ignored completely while sitting directly in front of a service advisor. Their waiting area has complimentary coffee, internet, and comfy chairs with a tv. Usually they get my oil change done in about an hour, which is really good in comparison to different locations that are similar or smaller in size. The staff overall is focused lol! Today I am getting my vehicle inspected, oil changed, and a complimentary car wash. Please be mindful that when you come here for a state inspection, the vehicle must be registered in Hunt County.

They got me in quickly, were great communicators, and worked with my shop from Denver closely to work on the problem. Kind, quick, attentive, reasonable prices…read more I just went and got two new tires put on my truck today, after calling earlier to check if they had them in stock. They had two sets of new tires in stock at different price points, and said I can get a deal if I paid in cash. The prices were comparable to my local tire dealer and they were located closer to me, so I decided to give them a try. When I arrived, I was met by Rodolfo, who turned out to be a very kind and soft-spoken young man. He showed me the tires I asked about and after I selected the ones he told me to pull the truck in the bay and invited me and my child to wait in the lobby, which had several comfortable chairs and a large TV screen that shows you the inside of the garage. It was a comfortable wait They spotted a small screw in the sidewall of one of my original tires. He said it would be about $45 to patch a side wall. When I checked with my local tire dealer, they're willing to do $10 plugs or patches, if it's some thing they can patch. When I told Rodolfo this, he said he'd be willing to price match it. It took Rodolfo and his coworker less than 30 minutes to move my back tires forward and put two new tires on the back. His coworker was a young Caucasian man with a beard and mustache, that was also very kind but I didn't get his name. When it came time to pay, I paid with my debit card and I had misunderstood debit card as the same as cash. Rodolfo noted the misunderstanding, but left the ticket as it was. I felt so bad for the misunderstanding, but he just smiled said it would be fine. In addition, he decided since this was my first time there, there would be no charge for the sidewall patch at all,. He's a very generous guy, and he says the owner is also a very, very kind man. It definitely shows in their workmanship. They offered to drive my truck around, and even noted a rattling sound coming from my wheels of my truck, and they wanted to double check that they had not caused it to rattle. I reassured then that was a noise original to my truck wheels it had always made, and they complimented my truck and hoped that I return. I would have no problem giving them more business in the future.
