Worst Dining Experience EVER!!!!!! My husband and I went here for lunch before going to a movie. At first sight the place was dark and dank and empty,, with a smell of dirty mop water. There was no sign giving us direction on whether we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We found out from a waitress whizzing by. We seated ourselves, and waited 15 minutes to even be noticed by a waitress who'd been in and out of the room several times. She informed us that they were short staffed and took our drink order. I ordered a Merlot and my husband ordered a Bud Light, one of the few beers they had on tap. My wine tasted old. And I immediately noticed the pink lipstick mark on my dirty glass!!! My husbands glass had a never disappearing ring of grime which he kept wiping and making worse. Even after he took a napkin to it, it didn't go away. After cautiously sipping our drinks for another 20 minutes, someone finally came to take our food order, we ordered from the 8.99 lunch menu, I ordered the chicken parmesan, and my husband ordered the veal parmesan. Both came with one side. He ordered the chili, which he said he enjoyed, and I ordered the salad. My salad consisted of iceberg lettuce which was wet, two cherry tomatoes, and a few really hard croutons, the ranch was runny which resulted in a white cloudy puddle in the bottom of the bowl. And there were several large drops of Italian dressing running from the edge to the inside of my salad. I ordered ranch. After eating our chili and salad, we waited and waited and waited another 35 minutes passed and we had to ask the waitress what was the status of our order. She rushed off to go check, and came back to inform us that our order never went into the computer!!!!! We sat there for over an hour and never got to eat any real food!!!! My husband then asked to be cashed out, and she actually brought us a bill!!!! She apologized, and then rubbed my arm and said, "Sorry hun, please come back to see us!" I'm pretty sure she knows that will never happen. This was our first time going here and our last. I recommend that if you have other options choose them. Even a quick burger from a fast food drive through would be better than this place. Dine at your own risk... read more

Ok... The outside of this place is so dilapidated that it makes you think they've gone out of business. Once you spot the flashing OPEN sign you make your way in to the foyer that smells, umm, ...gamey. You're greeted by the hostess stand and two giant lotto vending machines that sit at the end of a dividing wall like guards prompting you to choose your fate: left to the dimly lit bar or right to the dimly lit dining area. We chose the right side where natural sunlight could be seen pouring in from a second dining room that has windows, which we made our way to. Shortly after a server arrived to take our order. She wasn't rude and I really don't have any complaints about her, but I wouldn't say she was cheery or friendly. We each got a pizza and split an onion ring basket. The rings came a short bit later and were pretty good with a nice light tempura like beer batter. Mildly oily, but quite good. The pizzas came, and as another reviewer had mentioned it was moist. I wouldn't say soggy, but once you have a slice out you do have to tilt the pan to help it drain a bit. This isn't really an issue in my eyes as it sometimes happens with pizza on a pan. No biggie. I couldn't definitively tell whether the dough was homemade or not, but it was good dough regardless. But the toppings were the money shot. The bacon is the thick cut crispy, crumbly kind (yum!) and the Italian Sausage is real deal sausage links busted up and spread around. The pepperoni and cheese both seem to be of a good quality. A tasty pizza, indeed. Not something I'm gonna drive 45 minutes out of my way for, but would definitely order again should the occasion arise. Even though the building is abysmally dismal, the food here shows promise and I wouldn't mind trying some of their other fare. The menu picture of the Manicotti looks super good. Might have to make a follow up trip soon. read more

The waitress was extremely slow and overwhelmed with a large of people...about 10 total. She brought our drinks out but couldn't get those right even though she wrote them down. Then the food came. She couldn't tell what plate had what food on it. The plates came out in 2 shifts...the second coming about 5 minutes after the first. When I got my ravioli it tasted delicious but it was luke warm in some spots and cold in others like it had been done cooking for awhile and just sitting there. At the end of our meal the waitress couldn't keep track of the checks and who had paid and who hadn't yet. Overall I will try this place again and hope for a better waiter. read more

The food was awful. I can't believe there was a wait to get a table at this place! Service was fine, but fairly slow and certainly not spectacular. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna, which they advertised on their sign outside. It had pepperoni inside, which worried him, but he gave it a try. Not good. I sampled the onion rings, which I do have to give them credit for. They are really thick, beer-battered and really greasy, but good. Their ranch is also "good ranch." But my steak was horrible. Completely over-cooked (I asked for medium well and it was dried out and almost impossible to eat.) There was no sauce or juice of any kind. It came with broccoli, which was just boiled and thrown on the plate. No seasoning, they barely bothered to cut it into manageable pieces. They only have three beers on tap - Bud, Bud Light and Labbatt's, I think. The place is dark and crowded and not a pleasant dining experience. read more

My son wanted to have his Birthday Party at District 5 and after researching for nearby restaurants to have 20 people go to after was tough to find in the area. Falsetta's looked like the only nearby restaurant that took reservations on a Friday night but after reading the reviews I was a little leery. I'm so happy we took a chance on this restaurant. The customer service was amazing and the food and tables were waiting for us when we got there. We had pizza and breadsticks and it was so delicious. If you are looking for a fancy place to eat, this is not it but if you for a cozy restaurant with good service and pizza then this is your place. :-) read more

Above and Beyond At the recommendation of a friend, I had my baby shower at Falsetta's a few days ago. We had a group of 17 women and everything was perfect! The food came out in a timely matter. Our Antipasto salads had tons of goodies on them. The cheesy breadsticks were hot, garlicky, and cheesy. Everything that you could want in good breadsticks. All of the pizzas were great, but the Spinach, Chicken, and Mushroom Pizza with white sauce stole the show. The food was great, the service was better. Andrea was extremely personable and efficient. No one waited for a drink and the food came out at a perfect pace. Andrea wouldn't let me lift a finger, including getting my pizza slices from the other side of the long table. She even cut and served the cake for us. When we left she gave me a big hug and congratulated me. I manage for a high volume restaurant in Northern Michigan, Andrea is everything that we look for in a server. It looks like its time for a newer review for this place. We were there last nite (Fri) with a group of 9. Service was very good, we were served our drinks promptly and didn't have to wait long for our meals. I got their $7.99 special that included a 6 oz. sirloin and 2 sides. Salad was OK, but the baked potato was wonderful! OVEN, not micro'd, and it didn't sit in a warmer. It was hot, and had that great baked potato texture. My steak was grilled perfectly. Hubby had the lasagne, which he said was just fair. It didn't taste homemade - more canned. 2 in our group had a pizza that looked really yummy. 1 of us returned her steak that was well-done rather than med. rare. A new was brought to her in 5 min., done perfectly. I was very pleasantly surprised and will be back. read more

Terrible food and poor service. Must use a lot of Gordons items because it's not even close to homemade. Save your money and go somewhere else. If your looking for good Italian food go to Deluca's or Cuginos. Carabbas is way better also and they are a chain. read more

Ive gone to resturant, i met the owner through a person we tailgate with and billy is very welcome and the food is great especially the meatballs they are baseball size. im shocked to see all of these poor reviews everyone i know that has gone with me has loved the food, from the pizza to the lasagna. If anything you do not walk our hungry but over stuffed. its a great family environment. I have been a repeat patron of Bill Falsetta's and i even plan on going this week. read more

Actually, I don't think of this place as gourmet at all, but I do believe that for the price, you are getting a good deal. The bf and I went a couple of times when we still lived in the area and it really isn't that bad. The pizza is pretty tasty and he was brave enough to try the steak, but I didn't try it. The service has always been friendly and the place crowded with diners. It is what it is, as my mom says. If you want classy, check out the Knight Cap, otherwise the value here for a light wallet is quite reasonable. read more

In general, I think this place is trying to live on the reputation of what was "Casa Nova". Years ago, the old Casa Nova had great pizza. Lots of high quality cheese, etc. The rest of their food was pretty tasty as well. The name might be the same. The food isn't. read more

I have been here numerous times and this place is never my favorite. Services is slow and ticket times are even worse. During lunch, plan on spending over an hour here. I went for dinner the other night and nothing had changed. The food was not worth the wait. Cobb salad was mediocre and the French onion soup was awful. The soup did not come out until after I had eaten 3/4 of my salad. I took two bites of the soup and was done. I will not be back unless a family member wants to eat here. read more

I just went here for dinner. Literally the worst Pasta I've ever had. It was cold, flavorless and just completely not worth $13. I got mac and cheese as my side and all I can say is even I make better krafts mac and cheese. They also bring out toast before your meal. Like not rolls or breadsticks, toast. My fiancé and toddler eat anything and everything yet they could barely eat their dishes. We left all our plates full of food and not one person asked why or if enjoyed our meal. I have no Idea what the others are talking about. We have eaten there for 8 years and drive 40 miles to get here, Never did we leave dissipointed. nor did any of our friends that we bring complain. The food is simply great and I try somthing new each time we go and so far no complaints. The service is great and the tables are always clean and we love everything about the place. I and 4 friends had lunch at Falsettas on 2-14-12. We arrived at 10 min. to 1 and had to wait over 1/2 hr. for the waitress to take our order. Then we waited ab. the same amount of time for our food. Can't believe this restaurant only got 2 stars !!! the Lasagna is the best!! Love the pepperoni accents and we like the service there. My husband loves the prime rib and the veal parmasan. the pizza is great(#2 behind DeLucas) and I believe all the food is homemade. yes, It could be cleaned and freshened up a little but the old world Italian flavor is still there. I have gone to Falsetta's Casa nova since I was a kid. over the years I have had some fairly positive experiences there. Today was not the best. It was not very busy when we were there. We ordered a pizza,and two italian themes dishes. My meal was luke warm. the bread looked and tasted like it was a few days old. It tasted okay, but i get the feeling it was just warmed up food made from the day before. too bad I would only give this visit a three out of five. other visits were better than this one. the waitress was cordial at best. just a bit disappointing. read more

My boyfriend and I tried the All-you-can-eat fish as advertised on their sign out front Friday night. It was the worst service (Betsy) and food ever (fish was like rubber and all breading). I used to like their food okay, but this was awful. My bf ordered a backed potato and he got a brown/tan (inside) baked potato. When we asked for french fries instead, Besty just said, "Oh, that time of night - it was 9:30 and they don't close till 11:00). We waited 40 minutes for his pop, our salad was gone by the time we got any salt & pepper and we had to ask for their garlic toast and bread sticks basket they normally have on your table. We had to ask Betsy twice to get a pop refill, and 3 times on the fries to replace the decaying potato. Never an apology. The all you can eat, by the time they brought us the ONE piece of fish at a time, it was long gone before anyone ever came back to see if we wanted more. And they never picked up any of our dishes that were literally stacked 5 inches high with fish breading, all of our plates AND the potato were still there when we left an hour and 40 min later. $29.75 bill, we left her a $2 tip, which I thought that was way too much. Wanted to try it becasue I had heard good things. We met friends for dinner. Decor is outdated but who cares bring us some good food, right? Well sadly not so much.... waitress was attentive but scattered. Wet tossed salad came in a very warm bowl, bowl must have been fresh from the dishwasher?? So salad not so good wet and warm. Everyone ordered Pizza but me, I got the spinnach manicoti which tasted much better than it looked. Two pizzas just about made it to the table but at the last moment the waitress realized they were wrong. The 1st pizza to come out went back to the kitchen and returned 10 minutes later and I am positive incorrect items were picked off, correct items added and the pizza was refired....not so good. When the 2nd pizza came it was also way wrong and had to be completely re made so I was 3/4 done with my meal by the time friends got their correct pizza. At least it looked fresh unlike the other, I was too embarrassed to ask them if it was good! It likely we will never return. read more

its been many many years since i ate here. my mother took me out to lunch back in october and i had the hamburger and she had the fish, i also tried hers. i also had there fries and she ordered there onion rings. and ill tell you every thing was so good it really was. i did like the fish better thou, so im going back there soon and ordering the fish dinner yum! service was just a little slow and we ended up with three different servers thou and it was not packed at the time but above all i liked it and will go back. read more
