My whole family has been going to Dr. Bopari's practice since it opened up. I have nothing but great things to say about her and her colleagues and staff. Dr. Bopari has great steady hands and amazing bedside manner. It's hard to find these 2 skills together in a Dentist. Her work is exceptional. I chipped my tooth earlier this month. Not only did she get me in the same day, but she matched the bond perfectly with my tooth. She has an artistic touch to her work. But she also has a critical eye when it comes to cavities. My children and I have always had positive experiences with Dr. Boparai and the Fallon Dental office. My youngest is only 5 and is always excited to go to the dentist. She has never been scared or uncomfortable as my older two always have good things to say after their appointments. The staff is so sweet and make us all feel like they've known us forever. We never wait long before we're called in, and they start working on our cleanings right away. I really appreciate that they clearly show you the costs of any additional treatment you may need (before and after insurance) before you can even ask, and they never pressure you into making a decision on the spot. Don't go here .. due to Covid I opted Fallon dental group instead of my regular dentist, they did a filling it's been more than a month I'm still suffering from pain and sensitivity in my tooth due to improper procedure. She was supposed to make sure my family and I were assigned to your office but instead of simply calling us to inform we had to be assigned she threw a fit and disconnected on my insurance company Representative. I had an appointment at 8AM for a cleaning. Checked in at 750AM. Got sat in the exam room and waited for an hour to be seen by Dr. Bopari. She did the charting and stated I have a lot of bone loss and therefore would not do the regular cleaning. (Some of my gums were listed at a 6 which is bad. One aims to have a 2 or 3 to be considered healthy.) Stated that I needed to deep cleaning that costs over $2k. I refused and asked for the regular cleaning. Her and her staff stated they would not be able to clean my teeth unless it was the deep cleaning since my gums would then be "more prone to infection". They were pretty pushy about my getting this deep cleaning done. The front desk woman even tried to convince me by saying that "your insurance has about $2k to cover your dental expenses until the end of the year (it was 8 days until the end of 2019), so it would just go to waste. The $2k doesn't roll over to the next year so you can use it for this deep cleaning." I walked out of the practice at about 930AM with nothing done and was extremely frustrated. I went to another dentist the following week, and what do you know? This dentist who charted my teeth and gums at this facility said my gums and teeth were all healthy with a few exceptions (chipped fillings, one potential cavity onset). I would not recommend Dr. Boparai or the Fallon Dental Group at all to anyone. They do not care about your dental hygiene, they only care about how to get the most money from you and your insurance. I am not sure why yelp does not have zero stars. This place sure deservers it. My wife went for cleaning and she was told they can only do deep cleaning as that is what's needed. They did X-rays and let her go with next appointment for deep cleaning. She cancelled the appointment and got a bill for $140, despite of providing insurance information. I called and gave them insurance information one more time and was told I will not get another bill. A month later I got same amount of bill from collection service. In the past, I've had excellent service from this group. Sadly, today I feel as though their practices have completely changed. My appointment today was for an extraction. When I checked in, the receptionist stated, I see you are here for an extraction today. I verified & was asked if I'd like to pay now. I did & when the Dr came in he asked if I was going to get an implant or a bridge. I had not decided on an implant but they were highly recommending it. Then they proceeded to tell me that I had paid for a consultation not for an extraction. The receptionist came in to explain the cost of the extraction, etc., looking her in her eyes I repeated what she said to me earlier & she apologized for any misunderstanding. Honestly, I'm finding it difficult to let ride. I know what I made an appointment for, as well as what the receptionist said to me & I felt as though they were trying to taking advantage of me by telling me something completely different once I was in the chair. This is not a positive business practice & I'm very disappointed in the changes that have taken place here. read more

When I came here to make an appointment last week, I was already not impressed with the customer service at the front desk. The lady did not greet me and when I told her I wanted to make an appointment, she glared at me and responded with attitude. Couple Of days ago, when I went in for my appointment, I had the intention of getting grey fillings for majority of my cavities because they were in the back and only get 1 or 2 white fillings if any of them were noticeable. I have no problem paying extra for white fillings but of course I want my insurance to cover as much as possible hence which is why I asked for grey fillings for my back chewing teeth. However when I told them, they ignored what I said and insisted I go for the white fillings, when I tried explaining again why I wanted the grey fillings; they ignored what I had to say and persisted I get the white. It felt like they were not giving me an option to choose. I would never come here again because they were so damn pushy and didn't let me make my own decision. read more

They told me I had to get a bunch of things done. When I asked if everything was necessary (because I felt like it wasn't) things got weird. They also presented the top of the line and most expensive options, but did not share the other options/prices until I asked. After that point I felt like they got awkward and less hospitable...and Sabrina was just down right rude!!! For such a modern, classy, clean looking establishment, the customer service from some fall terribly short. Extremely disappointed that my asking a few simple questions resulted in ill treatment and unnecessary bad attitude. Nope-- you won't be getting my returning business nor a good referral. The doctors are good ,very professional, but the front desk staff are extremely outrageous. I have spoken to different people at front desk, every of them just don't want to do jobs. If you want any referral orany little help, they will make you run around between their location and insurance over a month even if you bring all the information and explain the details again and again everytime. They lied to you they already submitted the letter to your insurance but everytime it's fake when you speak to your insurance. Finally I got my insurance to directly contact them to solve the issue. And they will lie to you they never got any calls from insurance right after my insurance calling them 1 min ago. Then they will deliberately put you on hold to not assist you and hang up. The doctors I met were very professional, that's why I would give 1 star rather than 0 star. But I hope they can hire other frontdesk staff. If you are looking to regain a beautiful smile than Dr.Shayan Baig is the perfect Dentist for the job.I went in for my normal cleaning and decided to do a consultation with Dr. Baig in regards to improving my smile cosmetically. He took his time and explained each of my options and even provided visuals of his work to give me a better idea. I booked appointment a week after to do the procedures. I am so happy with my smile! After moving to California, I have decided to go to Fallon dental group as it is closer to my home. At first there was no problem as we just did cleaning. After dr. KARLEEN BOPARAI, suggested me to treat cavities for some of my tooth, I agreed & made appointments, as she told me to do. After the first treatment, I told her, I am having pain, she told me I have to do root canal for one of the tooth out of 2 she treated. Next, I did root canal over there & the dr was horrible. He didn't bother to wait to check if my gum was numb or not. I told him......don't do it now, I am having pain & need some rest for my neck. Big no to me......I felt like I was a baby & someone is misbehaving with me. After that one of the assistant over there cut my lip, while taking out glue from my gum. This is a new dental office (opened early this year, 2014) so, as often the case, a hesitant attitude to try something new takes over me. I'm glad I tried this office though despite my reluctance. My initial visit was about a month ago for a cleaning and x-rays. The cleaning was nice; Romina did a good job. Unfortunately, X-rays gave evidence of an outcome I didn't want. I needed a root canal and a crown. Kay helped me out immensely with the pricing options involving my insurance. I was referred to an independent endodontist that took my insurance, to help with out-of-pocket expense, so I could have my root canal done. My root canal was about a week ago. Sabrina helped me out with that, and WOW, she was a great great help. Thank you Sabrina! My root canal was offsite at another office with Dr. Alnatour; he's pretty good but not connected to his patients, meaning because he's an independent - he lacks involvement with them. I didn't receive a post-op talk; things went well I guess and I was out the door. Well, I got an infection a couple days later. My gums are just sensitive; the root canal was good. However, I didn't have Dr. Alnatour's contact info. I contacted the office which he utilizes; however, they are closed on weekends. I got an answering service that didn't help much. I contacted Fallon Dental Group on a Saturday to get an emergency prescription for antibiotics. I'm glad they were open! Sabrina got me started with some info and I was given calls by Romina and Kay after also to follow up. They took great care of me and for that I am truly appreciative of their help. I got my prescription the same day and the swelling and infection went down enough that I was able to get my crown just hours ago. Dr. Boporai is very nice and skilled. Her initial exam of me a month ago was something I knew I might need but hoped would never confirm. When she did my crown work I was felt assured of the job she did by just how at ease I was. Monica assisted with the work also; she made me feel comfortable as I waited for my CEREC crown to finish molding. They've got a machine that makes the crown for you there and then; no need to come back a following day. It's a long wait for crown work to finish but worth it. I highly recommend this dental office for obvious reasons. Thanks again to Dr. Boporai, Sabrina, Kay, Romina, and Monica for making the dentist office visit not at all a bad experience. The staff is great, an awesome visit. I have been seeing this dentist every 6 months for the last two years and each experience has been good. My most recent visit was awesome as I had almost no wait after checking in for my appointment. The dental hygienist, Caroline, was one of the best. She took the time to greet me and listen patiently to any complaints. The cleaning and polishing was thorough but not painful. The hygienist was top notch. I recently transferred dentists after a disappointing experience in Alameda. I had heard good things about Fallon from a friend and it lived up to expectation. First day I went in and had my X-rays/photos taken and updated by Paolo. Also got a much needed cleaning, which was very thorough and detailed thanks to Mai. I'm not the best patient and visits to the dentist make me anxious but I found all the staff there to be really welcoming and helpful. Sabrina the manager helped explain my dental insurance plan and the cost breakdown for me. The atmosphere like the building is clean and professional. In the waiting room they accommodate for young families which was great. I didn't have to wait long to be seen. Overall it was a smooth experience, no complaints. Heading back for a consultation in a few weeks so hopefully they can help fix these wonky English teeth of mine. read more

I came for regular cleaning. I was insisted to go for Deep Cleaning. When I politely said I can look for it next time but for now I'm looking for regular cleaning, the dentist (Dr. Phillips) showed his disappointment (as he is not able to make enough money out of me) and left the room. Minutes after, her assistant came with showing expensive deep cleaning and filling options, where, despite insurance, I'll end up paying heavy from my pocket. I had done deep cleaning before and I know it is not how much they were quoting. When I refused, her assistant said dr. phillips will do regular cleaning as courtesy but next time I visit he will NOT do anything less than deep cleaning. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. First time heard a doctor refusing to offer service (because the service I asked is not costly enough). Not to forget that when I arrived, I did not want full xrays, dentist said he will take only limited 4 xrays. But his assistant took full x-rays before I realized (their way of making money from insurance). read more

I would like to echo what all of the other reviewers indicated about the Fallon Dental Group. After my initial appointment I was impressed at the professionalism displayed by everyone that I came in contact with. For the first time in my life I can honestly say that I felt like a human being when I walked out of the office. The hygienist that cleaned my teeth was reassuring, explained everything that he was doing (and why) and also stressed the positive aspects of the condition of my teeth. I did not feel judged as I normally do when I leave the dentists' office. Additionally Dr. Boparai was also very courteous and had a calm demeanor which I appreciated. I visited the office today to have a root canal completed and a crown placed. I loathe going to the dentist because of my past experiences. I must say that this was the most pleasant experience that I've ever had with having dental work completed. The staff was prompt, explained everything to me in detail and overall I received first class service in a first class environment! Plus I was able to have my permanent crown placed in one visit...which by the way looks flawless! Coming from someone with a phobia of dental offices these 5 stars were well deserved. The entire staff helped me feel at ease from the time I called to make the appointment to the time I walked in the door. They tried to make things as quick and painless as possible and explained everything very clearly. We went through all my medical coverage BEFORE they started the work so I wasn't blind to the cost when I got out and they were very reasonable. The facilities are brand new and everything is kept very clean. They have TV's in the room for you to watch when you are getting work done however be aware if you go in at 6pm all that's on is the News lol... Major Kudos to Troy for putting up with me and giving me one of the best And most COMFORTABLE cleaning I have ever had. I do have to go back for a Crown so this review may change but for now I am leaving them with the 5 stars. Oh and a couple random facts they do not talk about you like you are not in the room... I hate when doctors or dentist do that and then you leave super confused or its like helllllo right here! I was hoping to add to my previous review from 4/22/15, but apparently I need to write a new one. So I'm copying and pasting last year's review below this one. On June 28, 2016 I had my third checkup at Fallon Dental Group. I like them more than ever. Dr Karleen Boparai is top-notch, as are all the staff members I've encountered so far. I'd especially like to commend their hygienist Mai Tran, and their registered dental assistant Paolo P. (I haven't mastered his long last name yet.) I've come to trust those in this office completely. When Dr Boparai told me that I needed a crown, I had no hesitation in agreeing to the procedure - and I was happy to learn that, because of their high-tech CEREC system, the crown was able to be done immediately. After Dr Boparai numbed the area (she's very gentle) she removed the cavity and prepared the tooth for the crown. Then Paolo brought out an instrument I'd never seen before, which turned out to be a special camera. He took several minutes moving it carefully around all surfaces of the tooth. The pictures went into the computer where they were sent directly to the CEREC machine, which then proceeded to build my crown. Before the procedure I was informed of the cost, which was considerably lower than what my wonderful dentist of 45 years in Sunnyvale would have charged. And I didn't have to wait a week or two while the crown was being built at an outside dental lab. One final added bonus - during wait times (like when my crown was being prepared) - patients can stay right in the comfortable dental chair and watch TV. I'd never watched HGTV before, but found that watching The Property Brothers renovate and sell houses made the time appear to pass much faster than it would have otherwise. Fallon Dental Group is ultra-modern, with multiple dental rooms and the latest technology - and most importantly, with good people. * * * * * * * * * * 4/22/15 My husband and I moved to a senior living community in Pleasanton that's literally five minutes away from the Fallon Dental Group's offices. We're very impressed not only with the quality of care - Dr Boparai and her staff are excellent - but also with the group's state-of-the art technology. There's an on-site dental lab where crowns and onlays can be made on the spot. And the x-ray machines produce the least possible amount of radiation. Also the fees are very reasonable, considerably less than we were paying in the South Bay to our dentist of 45-or-so years. read more

Stay away by any means! Extremely poor dental care. They are not there to help you, but get the most out of your insurance provider. The office manager appear to be on kind of incentive/commission to make the most out you, even if you do not need it. Don't waste your time and money here!
