2/12/2025 Jonathan c. Wang does not deserve even 1 star. Anyone who gave or gives this dentist 5 stars only had their teeth cleaned or a cavity filled. I was having crowns replaced on my teeth. And he makes you sign so many papers to cover his A** I guess. But he never signs a paper stating food will stick to the teeth material Zirconium as you are eating. The papers that he make you sign are done under duress so they will not hold up in court !!! Jonathan. His prices are outrageous. And he changes the quoted price every time you check out. It cost me around $9 thousand dollars to have 4 teeth recapped. That is HIGHWAY ROBBERY. I was quoted $6000 dollars out of pocket to have a simple bridge installed. Do you think he gives a DAMN about patients who he has done lots of work on !!! . Then think again. His dental school was University of the Pacific AKA (UOP). As most dentist around here went to. That is why it is hard to find a good dentist in this area. Find A UCLA Dentist from Southern California and you will find a good dentist. Someone stated he teaches at UOP. That is because he does not have enough patients to make a living on. He is only open on Monday and Friday. You will find that out because that is the only days he gives appointments on. I found his staff was very annoying! When you call in you hardly ever get a live person because he does not have the staff to answer the phone. And he hates it when you talk to anyone except Daniel or Susan. He comes running in to see what it is about. It took me a while to figure out that his Dental Assistant was a dentist. It has to be because he is not competent enough to do work alone. And he hates it when you talk to her. And before you are even finished with the work he was doing. This lady named Susan comes running in and tells everyone to start cleaning up. How rude. I always felt rushed there. Oh and I did not mention. That you will get at least 1 phone call to change your appointment time and date. Each time you have to go back. And did I mention he has 0 sense of humor. I never saw their faces but 1 time because they wear face mask. But come on. When you first meet a patient you should at least show your face. IT WOULD TAKE ME 4 PAGES TO TELL YOU THE REST. My first visit with Dr. Wang as a new patient. His friendly office staff made me feel welcome. Dr. Wang was very thorough in his new patient exam. After panoramic x-ray and exam, he explained well what needed to be done. "Full" deep cleaning. Daniel his receptionist was knowledgeable and took time to patiently to explain the ins and outs of my dental insurance coverage. On the followup visit for the procedure, he gave a good nerve block for not only good, deep cleaning, but also a more thorough exam. Then I heard him instructing his staff to code for "Limited" deep cleaning after his updated exam, because in his honest clinical judgment, I didn't need a "full" one. Talk about an honest professional! The bad news was he found a cavity in my molar tooth which already had a crown. I was worried that it may worsen into "root canal" job. Glad that Daniel helped schedule the earliest apt for the needed filling. The follow up on the filling went smoothly and efficiently after again, a good nerve block. During the procedure, I couldn't help but notice how encouraging and positive he was toward his assistant... with frequent timely, "Thank you"... I've had a tooth that has had sensitivity for about two years due to a filling that began to develop a hole from a previous dentist. I went to another dentist about my tooth, stating that I wanted to fix the filling but they said I needed a root canal. I decided to wait on it and get a second opinion. When I asked Dr. Wang about my tooth he agreed that I didn't need a root canal and to instead fix the filling. If my tooth continues to have severe sensitivity, then I would need a root canal. Had my tooth filling replacement appointment yesterday and Dr. Wang explained that I might have sensitivity for 6-8 weeks, which is normal. But my tooth already feels so much better and I can finally eat on that tooth, I am so thankful. It feeling amazing to have my tooth finally feel normal again. Also, I explained to Dr. Wang and the team how I get nauseous from the numbing shot and asked if my husband can come in with me during the numbing stage, and they allowed it. Dr. Wang made the numbing shot experience so much better for me since he walked me through it and told me to focus on my breathing. During the procedure, he also would check on me to make sure I was doing good. Would definitely recommend this place because they actually care about you and your concerns. Dr. Wang is the most incredible dentist I have ever been to in my 43 year of life. I've been to some great dentists and some bad, but Dr. Wang is in whole other league! He is beyond knowledgeable, has an amazing bedside manner and is genuinely invested in his patients comfort and care. He is the only office I've visited where the dentist does your cleaning. Dr. Wang is an amazing dentist. I had a filling pop out while I was flossing and they were able to get me quickly in the schedule and assess my needs. From there we replaced the fillings and did a cleaning on the same appointment, which I really appreciate. I saw all Dr Wang's 5 star reviews and have to admit to having had a bit of skepticism. But the truth is, he's THAT good. he is thorough and gentle in his work, checking continuously on how you are doing. I have never had a dentist give the level of attention to my full medical situation and adapt care to it the way Dr Wang did. His staff are also attentive and considerate and way ahead on whatever needs to be taken care of. I appreciate that he does not recommend more than necessary work and was very helpful in referring out work where necessary. I chose him initially because I was seeking a covid-safer environment as I am immunocompromised. If this is a concern to you I doubt you could do better than Dr Wang. I was seen today by Dr Wang for a cavity refill. My regular dentist isn't open on the weekends so I was super grateful that Dr Wang was open. I was very impressed with all the office staff and how thorough they were. Dr Wang asked if I wanted to do a cleaning also while I was there and since I was due for one I said yes. He did the cleaning himself instead of a hygienist which was really nice. I definitely recommend him if you are looking for a new dentist or if you're dentist isn't open on the weekend. Dr. Wang is an excellent dentist. I have had three appointments with him so far (cleaning and two appointments for various fillings) and all three have gone smoothly. Dr. Wang takes a lot of care to make sure you have a good experience at the dentist. Dr. Wang and his staff are COVID-conscious. Upon arrival, his staff (all of whom are very friendly and nice) record your temperature for the day. I was also informed that I would be the only patient for each of my visits, as they are only seeing one patient at a time to be as COVID-safe as possible. His staff also wears a mask and while I had my appointment, I noticed that Dr. Wang and Susan were double masked (face mask and face shield). I also liked the equipment Dr. Wang had at the office. He has a 360 X-Ray machine to take X-Rays of your teeth and the regular X-Ray machines for more specialized parts of the mouth. I also appreciated their attention to detail when Susan saw I had earrings on and let me know to take them off during the X-Ray for my own safety. She even gave me a plastic Ziploc when to place my earrings in to avoid losing them. I was also given a paper copy of my X-Ray, something none of my other dentists have done. They also took photos of my teeth with a DSLR camera for record (in addition to all the X-Rays). For my fillings and cleaning, I was offered sunglasses so I could avoid the bright lights. For my fillings, I was also offered headphones (with calming music) to lessen the noise of the drills. Lastly, for anesthesia, Dr. Wang gave me cotton swabs of a topical gel-like anesthesia to numb my gums before going in with the regular needle application anesthesia. I hate and fear needles so I'm grateful that they had the cotton swabs to numb my gums first before they went in with the needle. Overall, I had a good experience with them. It was easy to book appointments and Dr. Wang and his staff took care of everything I needed. I will definitely be coming back for future appointments! read more

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I hadn't seen a dentist for two years. I thought I took good care of my teeth since I brush and floss everyday, but Dr. Wang found a very deep cavity that I neglected to take care of for years.
