It's is very rare for me to give a review but when I give a review either it's extremely good or extremely bad. In this case this review is extremely bad. I've been dealing with Dr Rekha Vontela for a while now and her character is very prejudice. Dr Rekha Vontela also subcontracted an outside dentist to do some dental work for me and my wife because she doesn't have the skill to do the real work just cleaning, and that dentist she subcontracted drilled holes in my teeth and did not do the work right. It was if he was doing it on purpose or he didn't know what he was doing. My wifes dental work was also done wrong. Within the same day I had to come back and get something fixed because it was not done right. My fillings came out and my teeth ended up in worse condition and I had to get a root canal. The same with my wife, her teeth ended in worse shape. On top of all of that her staff is incompetent and that makes me believe that if her staff is incompetent that means Dr Rekha Vontela is incompetent. There are good dentists and there are bad dentists and she is a bad dentists that hustles her clients for money. Most Doctors take pride in their work, Dr Rekha Vontela does not, she takes pride in hustling her clients for money. Warning stay away and this is the God honest truth! I had to switch my dentist and thought of this dentist since I had brought my mom here some years ago. Dr. Vontela took my xrays and analyzed my problems and set up major work that was badly needed for me. Dr. Vontela did not worry about my insurance and payments. She focused solely on my treatment, teeth and well being only. She has been taking care of me very well. Right after I started treatment here, my wife noticed that I look happier, may be, because I had found a great dentist for life. My wife also switched to this dentist. Dr. Vontela now takes care of both of us now. I'm confident that Dr. Vontela and her staff are experts in their field and will take care of us, no matter what our dental needs/problems are. The dentist at the Dublin, CA office is very rude in not only how she treats her patients but also in her conduct and behavior. She is short with her visits, refuses to answer questions about where the cavities are located and has a revolving door of hygienists and front office staff. She is dismissive in her tonality, de-grading in her language and insulting. Perhaps she has a power or ego trip and enforces this behavior only when a person of authority like a parent is not there or her low income/medi-cal patients. It's disturbing! The dentist and there is only one at the Dublin location was so mean to my daughter that when I picked her up today from her cleaning, she was in tears. No professional should ever be allowed to practice with such poor manners and rudeness. I called her to speak to her but she overbooks herself and can never be found. As a parent, I had to have a discussion in person with her and she was with a patient but I wanted to make sure she knew her behavior was not ok. She said my daughter was upset about having cavities and she did nothing wrong. But being upset about having cavities is not the problem. The problem is how the dentist treated her patient, my daughter. My daughter was pointing in her mouth, not touching her mouth asking where the cavities were, the dentist yelled and said don't touch your mouth, you will spread covid and then squirted hand sanitizer on her hands and told her to sanitize. I went in for a cleaning and I have never been treated with such disrespect. I am 20 years old so maybe she thought it was okay to speak down to me. I felt degraded and disrespected. The dental hygienist was lovely and so nice but the dentist herself was unprofessional, rude and I left the office in shock. First she tell me I have three cavities but wouldn't show me the X-rays or tell me where the cavities were located. I had questions that she ignored and seemed to want to rush me out when there were no other clients there? It was empty. I asked why do cavities occur, and she replied "how am I supposed to know why you have cavities?" which I replied "well you are the dentist." When I pointed to my mouth and asked where the cavities were, she told me to "get my fingers out of my mouth, I will spread Covid." Then sprayed hand sanitizer on my hands. I am an adult why would I put my fingers in my mouth, I am not a little kid. Do not recommend, seems like she lies about clients having cavities after reading the other reviews. read more

UPDATE: Dentist claims they are honest but I have the x-rays to prove it, PLUS I had it confirmed by not one but two other dentists! This dentist outright LIED about me having a cavity. DO NOT TRUST! Went in there for tooth pain on my bottom molar. They take an x-ray of it. Doesn't find anything. I agree that the x-ray doesn't show any cavity. She then acted surprised and asked me if I have dental experience? No. I just do research. No why didn't she take that into consideration when she lied about the next x-ray?? Doh! So then they take x-rays of my top teeth above that tooth. She shows me the x-ray and then points to NOTHING on the tooth and said there's a cavity and I'll have to have the tooth pulled out!! I say "Where is the cavity??" She then moves her finger up to the NERVE PULP on the X-ray and says, "There." I am dumbfounded and shocked. Really?? Think I can't tell the difference between a cavity and the nerve pulp??? And she wants to take this tooth out that has NO EVIDENCE of a cavity. I don't care if it's my wisdom tooth. It was filled before and it can be filled again. BESIDES, that's not the tooth that's bothering me! So she basically wanted to pull a tooth that had nothing wrong with it!!! read more

Dr. Vontela has to be one of the best dentists I have ever been to if not the best. I have had bad experiences in the past that kept me from going to a dentist for an extended length of time. I have now been to Dr. Vontela multiple times. She was very understanding of my apprehension and put me at ease explaining everything ahead of time. When I required a filling she was very attentive to any discomfort I showed and adjusted accordingly. I am now going regularly for cleanings again and actually look forward to going to the dentist! read more

I seldom write reviews and this time I am very unhappy with this office. I took my mom to visit this dentist due to her toothache. The dentist took x-rays and told my mom it's gum infection. My mom took antibiotics for 7 days and it did not get better. She had to visit another dental office for treatment. It turns out the root of the tooth was not healthy and had to be extracted. My mom asked this office to give her a copy of the x-ray or transfer them to the other office. After so many phone calls, this office charged her $45 and print the x-ray in A4 paper, which couldn't be used by the other office. I feel this office is very unprofessional and unethical. read more

I came to Dr. V when I realized that my wisdom teeth were starting to bother me. I'd had them since my teens and they were never an issue but now that I was 23 I realized they were growing out more and causing me pain. I was already a patient of Dr. V, I knew I would be in good hands. I was one of the offices first appointments that day, they knew I was in pain and wanted me in as soon as possible. Letty noticed I was nervous since it was my first tooth extraction. She talked to me and explained everything about the procedure until I was calm. Dr. V came in and got to work, she numbed me and came back about 10 min later to make sure I didn't feel a thing. I let her know I needed a bit more on one side and she numbed a tiny bit more. She told me to keep my mouth open as she was going to start and before I knew it I had both my wisdom teeth removed! I had not even realized they were out, I didn't feel a thing other than a bit of pressure which Letty assured me was normal. Letty came back and told me exactly how to care for my gums and apply the small pieces of cotton. I went home and felt as if nothing had happened. Scheduled an appointment and everything was all set to go. Day of my appointment the lady on the phone wanted to randomly confirm my insurance yet again (I had already given and confirmed it when making the appointment). I read my insurance information again and then out of the blue she insists that there are supposed to be more digits on my ID number and then when I tell her I already confirmed with my insurance that this is a working ID number, she insists that this ID card is invalid and I just need to get a new one. She ended up cancelling my appointment basically because she didn't want to take my insurance, under the guise of it being invalid. What complete bs. Like the other reviews said, dishonest. Hella shady and selective about who they serve and who they don't serve well. read more

We were greeted with warmth and throughout our stay it was very comfortable. They offered outstanding service and very understanding. I went to this office for a toothache. The doctor only spent 3 minutes on me, and prescribed me antibiotics. 2 weeks later I found that they charged my insurance for teeth-cleaning service, which they never performed. I contacted their billing apartment and talked with Leticia and Elvia who told me that the doctor will make the correction with my insurance. That correction war never made. I went to this office for a teeth cleaning and x rays. I was told I needed two root canals and a crown and some cavities filled. When I asked about getting laughing gas for nerves, I was told they could order some. A week later I got a call saying the dentist said she wouldn't see me because I mentioned getting nervous during procedures. I told them I could have then work done without the laughing gas, but was told that I would need to be sudated to get my teeth worked in all necesito said I wanted laughing gas for nerves. That is ridiculous. The lady said that the doctor doesn't like to say no to patients so she said yes to the laughing gas when I was there. They said she did this alot. Very strange. I found another dentist and requested that they email me my x rays. The lady said yes and got my email address. After more then a week, I called again and asked for my x rays. The lady said she didn't have my email address. I gave it to them again and mentioned it was also on the form I filled out when I was there. The lady was really rude sly the whole thing. I am fine not having the work done there, especially after all this, but the way they handled this whole thing was very unprofessional. I have never had a problem with a dentist in my life. Nor have I ever had to be Sedated. I still haven't gotten my x rays emailed and my dentist apt is next week. I plan on reporting them to the State tomorrow morning. Something isn't right about this whole situation. They are not professional and still haven't sent me my x rays. read more
