I have to say that the endodontist who treated me is a magician with a needle because out of the array of dental visits I've had throughout my life, it was by far the most painless when it came to the numbing. Not only was the work great but the atmosphere in the office was as well. They gave me headphones and glasses to wear while a movie of my choosing played on a screen on the ceiling! A rubber dam was placed over my tooth so work could be performed without any debris falling into my mouth. The experience overall was amazing. I would come in and get a root canal redone every day.

I walked over from my dentist, they were able to get me in the very next day. I was treated so kindly. They did everything to make me comfortable, gave me the best neck pillow, one for my knees and also had great music playing. Dr. Finn is very kind, gentle and funny. She did a fantastic job numbing me up, made sure I was comfortable as my nerve was on fire. I didn't feel a thing. They gave me a little rest break and I was in and out of there in no time. My first experience was very complicated as the last dentist left a little piece of the tool in my canal. I told Dr. Finn I really wanted to save the tooth. She wasn't sure she would be able to retrieve the instrument but she did and I have never had an issue again with that tooth. Sometimes they're just necessary. My first experience with Dr. Sherman was during an emergency when my own dentist wouldn't do the procedure, and that's how I found him. More recently, I had another root canal that wasn't an emergency, but still came with plenty of stress. I brought my headphones and listened to relaxing music while Dr. Sherman did his magic. I'm not even kidding--at one point I'm pretty sure I fell asleep! Before I knew it, the procedure was done and I was on my way. Dr Malin shot a CT scan, looked over the x-rays sent by my dentist (so I didn't have to pay for another set), and experimented with cold air and water. In the end, he said a root canal (then crown) would be overkill for the current situation, and instead suggested a simple way to decrease the sensitivity. Considering he could have sold me the root canal, he's clearly one very honest fellow. He's also friendly and good-humored, one of the good guys we occasionally meet in life.

At the advice of my regular dentist we needed to get a root canal. We went to one consult which did not go well. The Endodontist informed me in order for my son to have a root canal he needed sedation. I did not agree as he is really calm and compliant. He does have epilepsy and cognitive delay but I felt he would do ok as long as he was numbed correctly and he felt comfortable. I honestly got the impression he just did not want to do it. So I spent the next week trying to find another option. I decided to go with Dr. Dianat based on my conversation with his staff and patient reviews. Dr. Dianat was absolutely amazing with my special needs child during a root canal procedure. any type of dental procedures have always made me nervous. they're never the most pleasant…read moreexperience, and i was especially nervous this time as i'd never gotten a root canal before. i was recommended to visit this office by my supervisor, and i'm so thankful i did. first, scheduling was a breeze. even with a small hiccup in appt mix ups, the receptionist kim was the sweetest person ever, both on the phone and when i arrived for my appointment. the office itself is very modernly decorated, and it's clear they are very up to date about different technologies that help them in their procedures and care for patients. before my treatment, the team took care to break down each part of the treatment process and allowed me to see the number breakdown to ensure full understanding. i love that they offer financing through cherry, as it made it a lot easier to go into the treatment knowing there wouldn't be a hole in my tooth and my wallet by the end of it. every step of the way, dr. dianat and his assistant behgum made sure to keep me in the loop of what they were doing, how the procedure was going. they offered me a blanket and sunglasses to keep me comfortable from the office temperature and bright lights, and they welcomed me to put in headphones to block out the sounds. if it wasn't for the vibrations and drilling, i could've almost fallen asleep. dr. dianat took great care in making sure i was fully numb for the procedure and he and his assistant behgum would consistently check in with me to make sure i was doing good, still comfortable, and to let me know things were going well. at the end of the treatment, i received a comprehensive explanation of what was done and detailed instructions of how to proceed with post-op care. it was the best experience i could have had for a first time root-canal, and i would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs their type of services!

But then again, considering my experience with San Diego North Endodontics, I should have expected this. Early last year, I had enough pain to make an emergency visit to my regular dentist. They subsequently sent me over to Doctor Chesler's office for a consultation. Turns out I had an incomplete root canal from a previous dentist many years ago that wasn't done quite right. They got me in right away to resolve the issue and that is exactly what they did! The entire procedure was a cake walk with immediate pain relief. Although there was residual pain due to healing, it has gradually been getting less. My 6-month visit revealed substantial improvement, and my one-year visit showed missing bone structure filling back in. It's to the point of only slight sensation while flossing. Ok, so much for the technical stuff. Regarding Dr. Chesler, I felt like I was his ONLY patient! He kept me fully informed about everything sparing no details. Additionally, he is compassionate in addressing any patient concerns. It's like he goes beyond the call of duty!
