We called in and spoke with Eliza, who was absolutely wonderful; she was so pleasant and kind, and incredibly, she managed to fit us in within just a couple of hours. The care we received once we arrived was top-tier. Yvonne, the dental assistant, was amazing from the very beginning. She went above and beyond to make our daughter, Farrah, feel comfortable and at ease during a very scary moment. Dr. Kwon is a true professional - he was so gentle and performed a partial root canal suited for her young age, and even bonded her teeth back together. His work is beautiful, and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. The office is also modern, nice, and very clean. If you need specialty dental work, I highly recommend this practice!

I called and was immediately scheduled for an appointment (within a few days vs. having to wait like other offices) and from start to finish, the entire team was genuinely lovely and professional. Ashley and Dr. Bringhurst were thorough (didn't try to upsell or suggest any unnecessary work), patient and gentle (previous dentists were a bit rough at times). Office is extremely clean (which is a big thing for me) and I've already told my friends and fam to switch over to them. I was so nervous initially, but the sense of relief now is priceless!!

He was hit hard enough to completely lose a permanent tooth. The bone holding his two front teeth was broken, his teeth were pushed far out of alignment, and he was bleeding everywhere. We rushed to the ER, where doctors were able to reinsert the tooth and apply a very temporary brace--but they warned us that we needed to find an emergency dentist immediately to properly stabilize his teeth or risk permanent damage. That's when the panic really set in. We were visiting family from out of town, and I started calling every emergency dentist number I could find. Most offices were closed. Some said they couldn't see him until the 26th. A few flat-out told me they only help existing patients. I called offices as far as San Marcos and Vista and was preparing to start dialing numbers in San Diego when Dr. Bringhurst called me back. I had left a message for him. He called me back even though his office was closed and he was out with his family on Christmas Eve. He asked thoughtful, specific questions. Had my son had X-rays? What did his bite look like? When I explained how his front teeth had been pushed back and his bite was misaligned, he didn't hesitate. He told us to meet him at his office at 4:00 p.m. He opened the entire office just for us. His teenage daughter even helped as his assistant. Dr. Bringhurst's calm, compassionate bedside manner immediately put my son at ease. He carefully numbed his mouth, stabilized the loose teeth with a more permanent brace, attaching the loose teeth to the more stable back teeth, and--most importantly--made sure my son's bite was properly aligned before we left. Had he not seen us that night, my son's teeth could have healed with a severely misaligned bite, causing future problems. Instead, my son's teeth were saved. His bite was saved. And our Christmas was saved. When I thanked Dr. Bringhurst over and over, he simply said, "I have kids too. I would hope someone would return my call on Christmas Eve." He was the only dentist who did. If you are looking for a dentist who truly cares about people--not just scheduled patients, not just office hours--this is the doctor. Dr. Bringhurst went above and beyond in every possible way, and I will never forget what he did for our family. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

First off let's talk about Saundra at the front counter. Friendly and helpful, always welcome for the front office staff. The dentist Dr. G is splendid and does a great job. In our dog eat dog society, I long to find that hope... still and always. Speaking of hope... I would hope that when anyone who is suffering from a tremendous loss, that the first inclination of a doctor of dentistry, or the owner of the office, would not be to take all they could get and inflate an estimate, that even an insurance company, being Delta in this case, would gasp at. Literally gasp. This is more than a bad dentist story. It's a reality check for me, and maybe for you, that sometimes the people we trust, rely on to assist us in our effort towards good health, might not be who they seem to be. Beware of people who say not to worry, you are in good hands, while at the same time, quoting you some outlandish price for your care. Imagine this... You have just lost the most important person to you. You watched them struggle, year after year and then finally succumb to what caused them continual pain and sorrow. Imagine then too... You have an abscess on the roof of your mouth, that because you cared for the most important person to you, you were not able to get it taken care of. Until... you tragically lose that person you love. After 4 months of tears, you make your way to the dentist you've been going to for years. They pretend to understand. After all, they knew of him and always asked how he was doing. You always suspicioned that the dentist had been inflating his prices, more than any other dentist's prices you compared with friends. But you could never follow through on investigating your suspicions. You were caring for the person you loved. There, sitting in said dentist's chair, you are informed that their estimate will be $18,000. for your care. Yes... EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS! You are in shock. But, you go ahead anyway and get the first part done on that same day. You just are not strong enough, emotionally, to know where else to turn. The manager has you initial many sheets of paper, right after that first procedure. You are still drowsy from Nitrous oxide (gas). The print is small and you can't make any of it out. Crying, you ask if he can't do something about the $18,000. tag. No, he says. Before you leave, you give said dentist's office $4000. Your sister tells you later, she had the same exact thing done for $5000. She too had an infection in her bone. She too needed 2 crowns and a bridge. You wonder about all this. Is it possible that a dentist would be so calloused, so opportunistic, as to inflate his prices to such a degree, knowing you have also experienced losing the most important person to you and while you are grieving? Some kind of rescue needs to happen! Your niece steps in. She demands accountability. She demands an itemized receipt of what was done. They comply. Or at least try to. The office just keeps changing that estimate along with the dates, along with details of what was done. They make no sense and it's quite obvious, they know it. Their first estimate changes to a bit over $15,000. Yes, FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. Still an inflated price. They say you need to come back. They want to finish the job. The insurance company is informed and they GASP when the story is related to them. They encourage you to file a grievance and get a new dentist. Your niece finds you another dentist. You go, she drills and completes the job @ $3600. Not, $11,000. more. Like I shared, I want to believe in good and honest men and women, but sometimes, you have to accept that, that's not always possible. If you choose to go to this dentist's office, please take this advice: Hold them accountable and get a detailed estimate in writing. Call your insurance company and double check things they tell you. But most of all, still believe in good and honest men and women. They're out there. So why even give this office two stars? Instead of one? That's for potential. Everyone has it. ...

Needless to say I'm so happy I ended up here, not only is he located extremely close by, but he and his staff are wonderful and very patient. This was the first time someone actually tested me for my TMJ in my whole thirty years of life, and is helping me figure out a game plan to fix it and for getting braces again (by my choice), I felt like I had a dentist who actually listened to my concerns. After my experience, I scheduled my two kids (8 &10 years old) for their initial exams to include the cleaning and X-rays. I found out that it would have been very affordable had I chosen to pay out of pocket. My kids had a bad experience at a different office and were scared to return to the dentist, but the staff made them feel safe and reassured here. My daughter even told me to give the "10 star reviews" when she found out I was going to write one" . I also appreciate that he was a service member as well, I feel like he has our best interest at heart because of it and I'm glad I'm here and will definitely be returning. Thanks Doc!
