My boots looked great. He cleaned them up nicely. The heels looked great too. These are my absolute favorite shoes, Lord & Taylor. On to Saturday. I was in my shoes for a total of 3 hours. About 2 hous in is when I noticed they were peeling. I was getting so many compliments on my shoes and I looked down and I can see the peeling pieces poking out the side from under the ball of my foot. I contacted Rafi first thing Monday and sent him a text with video. He is taking no responsibility. I feel like he was trying to do a good job. He replaced the heel tips and I believe he used some kind of cleaner on the shoes which caused them to peel . I definitely would not trust this business with expensive shoes! I went here because of the high revenues but I neglected to read the bad ones that include pictures of the workmanship or lack of. Big mistake! I feel bad about editing this review because so many people had bad experiences with him initially and initially my experience was great until I had a problem. Then he got defensive and deflected any and all responsibility. He is friendly. He is fast. He is efficient. He went above and beyond, not only to replace my heel tips but to bring my shoes back to their Glory Days. All in all I highly recommend this business. The owner told me that my bag wasn't real leather. Which shocked me, but I trust him. And I appreciated the honesty. Still love the bag. But glad to know it's not made of leather. The second time I came in l had shoes that didn't feel like the soft genuine leather they claimed to be. So since l actually had to review these shoes, l knew exactly who would know best! He said they were definitely genuine and that they were pig skin. Hence why they were rougher. I had no idea that was even a thing. I appreciate his honesty and frankness. I will always highly recommend this shop and l know the owner said about a year ago he was looking to retire. I hope (selfishly) that he never does. But if he finds himself a replacement, l truly hope the next cobbler is just as good. I highly recommend this cobbler for honesty and expertise.

The woman on the phone said yes bring it in and I brought it in and she quoted me $65 and said it would be done in 2 weeks. I went in today and picked up my bag. It looks awful. They took the top part of the bag apart to take off the old straps and sewn it back together CROOKED in 2 spots. They must have been rough because now the bag which was perfect other than the straps now have material coming off exactly where they worked on my bag. I mentioned it to the lady in the front of the store and she said "well it's not real leather. That's why that happened and it's peeling just like the straps." The straps were the only part that was CRACKING NOT PEELING... and the rest of the bag is perfect, except for where they worked on it. BUT if she thought that it would be an issue, why didn't they stop and say they couldn't do it or why didn't she say when I brought it in"This might be an issue?" They're the professionals not me. The lady said she would give me a small discount...Why bother? They already ruined my back...don't want a discount I WANT IT FIXED. They know what they did and instead of taking owner ship which I would have been less upset she tried to blame me that they messed up my backpack. One is an ankle, leather boot, which the heal/sole was beginning to separate. The other pair was also ankle height, but a suede type (wallabe style). The sole half way separated. I wasn't pleased with the type of customer service from this owner. He showed no customer service manners during my drop off and pick up visit. I looked at the boots quickly and saw that the sole were intact. When I arrived home and looked at the boots later. I saw one pair how the glue was not wiped up completely. After wearing it a week I looked to see how the sole was doing and I could see a slight separation. I didn't expect this having to pay $40 for each pair. I used Gorilla glue to fix the problem. I should have done the work myself.
