Came with a group of 4 on 8/27/23 and we had a wonderful time. We made a reservation about a week in advance and got the time slot we wanted which was around 1:30pm. Pricing: On the weekends, its $45 for the rental tube + shuttle. We also got the cooler tube which was an added $25 and was SO Worth it! Especially if you come late in the season like us where the river float is about 4-6 hours, thats a pretty long time and an extra float to put cold drinks and snacks was very much worth the little investment. Note - you have to bring your own ice for the cooler! They have a ton of parking onsite which makes it easy. We seemed to be the tail end since their reservation times end at 3pm. Check in was easy. They also have tiny lockers to put your keys in if you need. Their store has floats for sale and some other floating necessities. Things we brought: - sunscreen! - sunglasses and hat - watershoes or water sandals because it can be slippery/rocky in the river if you swim/have to walk in certain areas. - waterproof speakers - definitely makes for a great time! - change of clothes - which we left in our car for afterwards (this was nice because in the float, your butt is literally just sitting in water the entire time) - bug spray - might be handy if you plan to stop on land - phone protection - either a ziplock or phone bag because things can get pretty wet. - snacks - water - drinks - no glass! plastic and cans are ok, just make sure to keep your trash with you till the end where they have appropriate disposal areas. From start to finish Fall City Floating was amazing! Reservations were a piece of cake! The parking lot was easy to access, clean port a potties. Check in was easy with complimentary lockers for keys & phones. There was a shop to purchase dry bags, shoes & your own floats. Your reservation included a mesh bag to put your trash, shoes or personal belongings in. Suggestion: Pack a large zip lock for snacks & another with sunscreen & phone. Both fit in the mesh bag with 2 bottles of water. Tip: A large sign that I was approaching the parking lot would have been helpful. Staff were so friendly and great at answering our questions, as we were new to this adventure. Quick van ride up the river & unloaded with a phone number to call if we had any issues. During the ride you'll listen to a safety presentation. Insider info: you cannot pay extra for the sun to come out or the river to be heated (we asked) We brought our own tubes & for $3 staff would fill them. The rental tubes did not have cup holders, which our friends would have liked. The rental tubes came with straps to connect the tubes. Paddles were provided for all floaters (even if you bring your own tube; you'll want one!). You can also rent a cooler! Life jackets are required & provided free of charge, to borrow. There are places to stop and get out for lunch, rope swing & log jumps. We were on the river for about 3 hours and enjoyed 3 "rapids". July 3 we could have probably floated without stopping in 90 minutes-2 hours. You get out at the parking lot. It's a bit of a walk up and across the field, to the car & tube rental return. Tip: Wear tight fitting shoes! I saw 3 flip flops/crocs floating down the river! Invest in aquasocks!!! My 10 year old said "This is a memory I'll remember forever! I can't wait to share this with my class when I go back to school!!" We bought our tubes at Walmart & they did great. I would say if you have an adventurous younger kiddo (under 7 years) consider a double tube. The friends we were with had kiddos who got a bit scared when we unhooked during the rapids. They weren't scary rapids but the kids had to figure out how to paddle and get back to the group. I have a 6 year old & would love to bring him next time. First summer in WA would not be complete without a river floating experience so I was ecstatic when our WA friends informed us that there's a great company who you can book this experience with. Fall City Floating lets guest rent either one or two person floats for a reasonable fee. Guests can book online ahead of time for their desired float day and time. Pro tip-make sure you fill our the waivers they send you ahead of time to make your check in process a breeze. Once you check in prior to your appointment time, you meet with an employee who helps you get fitted for your life jacket and gives instructions on proper seating/handling of your tube to float in. After that, you jump in the van and they take you to the start of your river floating adventure. Guests can spend the afternoon floating the Snoqualmie river and from the starting point to the ending point, the floating experience lasts about 5-6 hours. One you're dropped off, your group is on your own to float at your leisure, but there are employees at various spots along the river just to give direction or assist if needed. Be sure to bring any snacks you'd like to last throughout the day and lots of water so your well hydrated. All in all, I loved this fun summer day spent floating out on the Snoqualmie river and I'm grateful for Fall City Floating for making this an easy and enjoyable experience. Enjoyed floating the river the other day! Was super hot and nice out. Company was great to work with, everyone here was super friendly and very helpful. Driver shuttle dude was nice & had a smooth ride. Very easy to understand instructions. Had tubes, life jackets, paddles, frisbees, water bag, whistles, cooler tubes, and much more to rent. Had port-a potty's that of course nobody likes haha! But other than that, very easy and smooth check in & check out. Tons of parking. Easy river run! Don't bring flip flops or sandals.. always strap ons or water shoes. I brought my own tube & just took the shuttle ride up. Rapids were fun & not scary. This is my 2nd summer ('20 and '21) using this company for transportation to float the river. I love river floating and had only learned this company existed a few years ago and immediately put it on my to do list for future summer fun. Reservations are made easily online, not sure if it normally books up, but space seems plentiful during the pandemic. It's 15$ per person if you have your own tubes. They sell tubes there, or you can rent theirs as well. You probably could get two cars and park at each end of the float and save yourself some money, but that sounds like a hassle and parking spots are limited. There's porta pottys and trash cans on site where you park. The van ride is short, it's full, but masks are required. We never had to wait in line too long, check ins are spaced 30 minutes apart. This year you got a bracelet to get on the van, last year they did check in outside. This year the store was open and you could buy things you may have forgotten like water shoes (reasonably priced at 10$). The river itself seems to float slowly and be colder than some other rivers people float in Washington. Of course this depends on the time of year, the snow melt, the weather, etc. I have decided this is not my favorite river to float and will likely seek out warmer ones in the future. I do tend to get bored before you come to the end, this could be related to the fact that I usually forget to bring frisbees to paddle with. There are some dangerous spots, there are some spots you are told to stand up and walk your tube. While floating down the river was extremely beautiful and pretty safe, this business needs some serious tweaking. It was super inefficient and felt money-grabbing. I would highly recommend just getting your own tubes and finding parking near the entrance yourself to save money and time. I was in a large group and we had a reservation at 12:30, but didn't even get in the water until around 2pm. We brought our own tubes, but they charge you $3 just to pump air into your tubes. I was shocked by how much they charged to pump air...we then had to stand in a huge line with zero shade in hot weather for around an hour to be picked up in the shuttles. Once we got into the shuttles, it was only a short 5-minute drive from the pickup area! It felt like such a waste of time to stand in line when we could've just walked there ourselves. There's even a parking lot area where you can park. The whole process felt like such a huge production just to charge people money. Some other reviews mentioned that the river was unsafe because of the current, but the river was so calm and mellow for us that the whole production felt so over the top. The most inefficient, poorly run operation I've seen in my entire life, and very unsafe conditions especially at the swift and steep river exit. We were told to arrive at 11am for our 11:30 float time. We stood in three separate lines (check in, tube rental, shuttle for two hours total, and didn't get on the water until 1:30pm. It happened to be 109 that day, and they could not handle that capacity or even half of it. And in a record breaking heat wave, this place was way way way overbooked, crowded, long 3 hour lines, and even with lots of warning there were no extra shade tents or warning that we would be in line twice as long as the float lasted. We brought lots of water, but didn't anticipate needing 3 extra bottles as we baked on gravel in line for 2.5 hours in 109 degree heat. Also, their directions for the river exit were totally wrong! We were told to exit 1/4 mile after the Fall City bridge, but it's actually immediately a few hundred feet after the bridge, and several people missed the exit, which is in thigh-deep swift water that will knock you over easily. And with the oversold capacity, there was a back up so they asked even children to try to jump into swift water to wait to exit the step, slippery bank. There was one person there to try to help and he was totally overwhelmed--poor kid. Other customers helped each other, thank goodness. There were parts that felt too rapid and swift for tubes, so this is not appropriate for beginners until August. Be warned, this risk it is NOT worth it. Go float with anyone else but this poorly run business. They need to overhaul their operations with people on mobile iPads, and need to improve the River exit safety. Shame on you for risking customers safety this way. If you do decide to risk your life with them, don't forget that you have to buy two things if you need to rent a tube or cooler: first your order a "Shuttle pass with rental" (hint it does not actually come with the rental!!), then you need to buy a separate tube rental, too. Um why wouldn't your customers think that a "shuttle pass with rental" DOES NOT actually come with a rental. And they are's confused why people buy this thinking it comes with one! Luckily I was warned, but about 263 people in front of us in line had "shuttle passes with rental", but had to purchase expensive tubes because they ran out of rentals! I think the business has found a very profitable way to sell cheap tubes for people who thought they purchased a "shuttle with rental." I've read mixed reviews but our party had a fantastic experience. Maybe it's cuz we were there during a weekday morning at the end of the season, so it was not crowded AT ALL. But it all went really smoothly. Checked in, and received a little mesh bag to attach to the tube to hold our things (not water proof). Rented a life vest and got our tubes and got right into the van to head to the start of the float. Since we were there at an off time, it was only the 3 of us at the start of the float! The river is much calmer so we had to paddle through bits of it but really it wasn't much work at all. We floated for 4 hours total with a few rapids here and there. If you have your own tubes, paddle boards, coolers, whatever, you can pay just for a ride up to the start of the float (you don't have to rent anything!). They will haul whatever they can fit in their trailer. One word of caution - when you go when the river is lower , like us, the exit at the end is a little tougher. The sign is hidden and you have to walk a fair bit up to the bank over rocks since the water is low. There was also a fairly strong current at the end and my sister flipped over trying to get out lol. You also have to walk over some rocks at times during the float , so wear some water shoes if you have them. Some rocks are very slippery! Unlike other reviews I didn't think this River float was dangerous. However we did do this float at the end of July so that may have been why. My two friends and I are newbies and it was the first time doing a float for all of us. So as 3 inexperienced people we didn't think it was dangerous. The biggest downfall of this experience was waiting for life jackets. Our reservation was for 1:40 and we arrived early, but still had to wait over an hour for life jackets. Once we received that we waited less than 5min for the van to take us to the river. We didn't start our float till around 2:45. On the float there was a section where we were advised by the staff to get out and walk on the rocks. This was the most difficult and annoying part! The rocks are super slippery and managing that along with the float can be a bit difficult. We've gone with this company to do river floating a couple of times this summer and have been really pleased with how easy the entire process is. You can book your group online and sign all your waivers etc. prior to getting to the starting point. They ask you to come early so they can keep the shuttle service running on time. Your rental includes shuttle service up to the starting point, a tube and a life jacket. They also have ice chests you can rent and bags for trash. The parking lot is pretty big and even with it being busy we've not had issues finding parking. It takes about 15 minutes in the shuttle to get to the drop off point. There are other entry points to the river that people with their own tubes use to park and depart. They drop you off with your tubes and you can head down to the river edge to get situated. It's taken us between 2-3 hours to float both times, depending on how full and quick the river is traveling. It's usually pretty busy in the summer with lots of groups (both from this company and on their own) floating the river but it's still a great experience. The water is perfect for swimming though I do recommend water shoes. The exit point is right at the parking lot where you got on the shuttle making dropping off your tubes for sanitation very easy. They also have garbage and recycling here so please make sure to pack out whatever you pack in, like with any trip into nature..the river is no different. Fall City Floating makes it so easy for you to keep and collect your trash and dispose of it properly there is really no excuse. They had shuttles that took us to the top of the river and then we floated down the river over the next two hours. It was a really fun event for a hot summer day, to just chill on the river with a drink or two. I wish we had known that there were no paddles provided (some people had frisbees but we didn't get any), so in order to propel ourselves we used our old navy flip flops... nevertheless it was a fun experience. We went the last weekend in June with three kids ages 7-10 and four adults. Half a mile before the bridge at the end, we pulled over to the left and had lunch on a shallow rocky area. It took about an hour to get down there. Across the river was two wooden stumps. A group of six ladies that were tied together came by and got stuck. Three were thrown off their tubes when their rope got stuck on the stump. Two floated down and swam to other people in their group. One girl was stuck on the stump on her tube with another one holding on to her friend who did not have a life jacket on. She was not able to get up on her friends tube. They were stuck there for a while. I called 911. For some reason the woman in the water didn't want to let go. When the emergency "river" police rescue came, they told the woman on the tube to let go of her friend and the friend just floated away face down. They jumped in and got her. They gave her CPR and she recovered. We saw three other groups get stuck in the same spot. One of which was a family of four whose kid flew off and floated down the river while his family was stuck. Luckily he had a life jacket on. I have done this float three times in August and never saw anything like this. That spot needs to be marked. The water moves so quickly. Maybe floating shouldn't start this early in the year? I also want to warn everyone not to tie together in big groups because that is what caused the chaos. We had a solid time, but ending our trip witnessing all of that with our kids was traumatizing. The Fall City Tubing website is set up very poorly and set up. Make sure that you click on the shuttle plus rentals and then on the next page click how many tubes you need. If you don't do that, you have to buy tubes for everyone there. read more

I would never give these people my business again. The website is crappy and doesn't have the waiver online which is just stupid. They sent a confirmation email which refers to the waiver link or QR code neither of which was in the email. I emailed them to see if they would email it over but they just resent the original email and said they were unable to attach it after I asked again. We arrived 45mins before our scheduled time to be greeted by some many people, like A LOT. I waited in line for 10 mins to be referred back outside to an Ipad to sign the waivers. The Ipad was so dirty it barely worked and there was only 1 Ipad as the other one was broken. That process took 10 minutes, then back in line to check in another 20 mins. 40 mins at this point!! Then for the line to blow up you own tubs-20-30 mins and the line to get one of their rental tubes was 45 minutes all b.c. they didn't have frisbees already tied on and ready to go. 90 mins later we wer ready to hit the river! 90 MINUTES! Folks in tube line with me were scheduled for earlier floats and were over an hour late which appartently wasn't a problem which sucks b/c this added to the complete mess that this place it. The river is way too crowded, at places it is like a floating island of 50 floats all tight together, getting through them was tough. I felt horrible for the people who live on this river, what a nightmare for them to have hundreds of people floating by their backyard everyday drinking and screaming. There needs to be a limit to the amount of people Fall City Floating is allowed have on the river per day because it is too many at this point. Not to mention we floated through a salmon habitat-shameful. The kids working there were working their asses off which little resources available to them. The owner of this establishment obviously doesn't care about their customers, employees, the environment or their own community. Also, it was super expensive (double the cost of other floating operations in the state). It took us 4 hours with paddling most of the time. Do not bring your children until 12 here, 6 hours in total made for a tough ride home with 2 10 year olds. We all left tired, hungry, and cranky. Also, no shade for the 90 wait time and no water onsite from what we could see. The employees were hurting. They should all be working under tents. I would not let my child work at this place. I hope their parents know they are being overworked and treated like crap. read more

If you're looking for a relaxed outdoor adventure on the water that also have some small rapids, you should try Fall City! I was looking for an outdoor activity on the water for his weekend and found FC. I booked our reservation online, and glad I did since it's been selling out every weekend during this hot summer! When we arrived we had to fill out a quick waiver, but basically the staff is hands off. They'll point you in the right direction but that's about it....this is especially true when the float ends! You can rent your equipment or bring your own (most economical since you'll only need to pay for the ride). The float itself was awesome--filled with mini rapid adventures and a relaxing lazy river float on the Snoqualmie. The end of the float ends abruptly though--and you're forced to somewhat climb up a rocky beach and then steep hill with no real path to get back to the parking lot. For this reason, I would not recommend this activity to elderly folks or those who are not sure footed. Definitely recommend coming with a group! And would return again, but next time with our own equipment! read more

This place is beautiful! A great outdoors activity especially during this pandemic if you're looking to be outdoors in water at this time. There are a lot of people that go, but it is pretty easy to distance yourself especially since the river is pretty wide. It is a family-friendly float, probably only 2 rough spots but it's not terrible to deal with. I can't swim & did not need a life jacket so I'll just say that much lol... although there are some more deep areas, I just never fell off my tube so please still take the precautions you feel is necessary & safe for you/your kids. The river is about 4 miles (2.5-3 hour long float) including the time spent just floating @ hanging out instead of forcing yourself to get through the river. Paddle with your hands or bring one of your own. As for parking, it is best if you have multiple cars, to have somebody park at the start & somebody else to be parked at the finish (same place you go to rent/buy your tubes) so you don't have to pay for a shuttle. Otherwise if you came with one car or don't want to deal with parking 2 cars in 2 diff locations, then the shuttle is always an option. I got a double tube on the spot for $50 & heard from my friends that the singles were $25 to buy. So if you plan on using your tubes more than once & have a place to store it, I suggest spending about an extra $5 to buy it instead of renting every time. :) read more

Overall our float was pretty decent once we finally made it to the water but, they could have been way more organized for my taste. We made reservations online about 6 days prior to our float & arrived about 30 minutes early just to be safe. We had our own tube so we reserved 2 shuttle passes, a tube fill up, & a cooler tube, which totaled $36. Seemed cheap & simple! There were no clear instructions on the website (or given by onsite staff) as to what we needed to do once we got there. The whole operation is merely a portable trailer where you pay, & 2 tube grab/air fill up stations in a giant gravel parking lot, with very few staff members to help it all run smoothly. The line was relatively long when we arrived, but we were early so we hoped that would keep us pretty close to schedule. We wandered around for a while trying to make heads or tails of it all & finally ended up in the "check in" line. Just a heads up, there are several different lines with no clear indication which is which so, you may have to ask other tubers! After waiting for about 20 minutes we were finally able to pay & received 3 poker chips & a green piece of paper for our tubes & other items. The girl who checked us in didn't explain what to do or where to go once we were done, so again, we wandered around for a few trying to get to the correct spot. I decided to go ahead & jump in the shuttle line while my husband grabbed our things because I noticed the shuttles were not coming every 3/5 minutes as stated on the website. They were much farther apart. Getting our tubes was a disaster! The girl gave us the wrong colored chips for what we paid for so my husband had to run back & forth to the check in trailer several times in order to get what we reserved/needed for our float. 30ish minutes later he was finally in line with me, but somehow we were even further back than when I got in line. Again, there are no staff members around to keep things orderly, so often there are 2 people in line holding spots for 10/15 of their buddies who haven't even shown up yet. No wonder we stood in the shuttle line for well over an hour & a half!! When we finally made it to the shuttle I was so relieved... we handed our tubes & cooler to the driver to pack up & jumped in the van! It's a quick 5/7 minute drive up the road. They unpack your stuff & its a 30 second walk to the water. UNFORTUNATELY, our personal tube was somehow punctured between the time it was loaded & unloaded. So here we are, well over 2.5 hours invested in this journey & our $60 tube is going flat & may not even hold up for the whole float. Thankfully we rented an extra tube just in case! Our tube made it, but went straight in the trash as soon as the float ended. I told one of the staff members about our tube & he shrugged me off saying there was nothing he could do about it. My advice; Buy & inflate your own tube & find your own spot along the river to drop in. I guarantee you it will cost less & save you some stress. Side note - This company makes you leave your actual credit card there while you float the river. So, after hours in the sun, swimming, drinking etc., you have to go back & stand in another line to retrieve your card. Rude & unfriendly staff! Shortly after the shuttle dropped us off, my friend and I started walking down the hill towards the water. During this time, a Fall City van was trying to back up down the hill with their own small motorized boats that were going to be used to monitor and help people. As we were walking down the hill, this heavier set guy with blonde hair asked us to move out of the way. I was confused and continued just walking down the hill. Once we got to the water, there was a very large group of people in tubes, and my friend and I were trying to get our tubes connected and situated. Again, this same guy very rudely said "Can you guys just move out of the way??" I snapped back this time and asked him where he expected us to go. It was a small opening to get in the water with rocks off to the left, and a man right in front of me with the large group. We literally had nowhere to move to until the large group moved. I told him that he should really be mindful of how he speaks to others, especially paying customers since my friend and I had rented two tubes plus a cooler tube. It was clear we were customers of theirs, yet he still didn't care about how rudely he spoke to us. I recently did a river float with Fall City Float and had a blast!! Their website is a little confusing - so literally read every page. You can make reservations online and I'd recommend booking in advance. In short, a shuttle takes you and your gear from the parking lot to the launch spot and you float back to the parking lot. You can bring your own gear, but we just rented tubes and a cooler tube to ensure we didn't run into any issues on the float. The rental wasn't that expensive and I'd recommend going that route unless you plan on floating every weekend! Their staff is very helpful, so call with questions. They recommend you arrive an hour before you float time, which seems like a lot but it goes by quickly. After filling the cooler, using the restroom, signing forms, grabbing gear and putting on sunscreen it pretty much took up an hour. For as chaotic and crowded as the parking lot was, everything ran really smoothly but I'm glad I took the time to read through their website. I'm going to start off with what a great time we had! We arrived at this location and was greeted by Komo news station and was interviewed. We walked into the registration area and was helped. You can purchase floats, foot wear, inflatable boats, etc. lockers are free of use, you will need a 4 digit code of your own. A waiver is signed for each floater the cost was $20/per adult. Also you will need to sign equipment return agreement pretty much stating that you are responsible for the items you take and make sure your bring back or there's a fee. After you are given tokens to bring to the second part which is grabbing your life jackets, floats, and paddles. Coolers are also for rent. Later a driver brings you and the floats to the beginning of the float. The driver was very nice and gave us a few pointers. I'd say it's about 2hours of float depends on the current. I believe I counted 3 small raging rapids not to big but enough to keep it fun. The only missed stars were the exiting. I suggested they should put up a sign a few yards before the float ends due to we need to paddle to keep to the right. Also the sign wasn't visible due to the shrubs blocking it. Another part was existing you will need to carry your tube and paddles without losing them in the current and climb a steep hill. It should be safe and secured to go up but wasn't. Anyone could lose their balance and break something. That's probably why they let you sign a waiver in the beginning. Pls note also there's no showers for you to clean off they only have a few portable toilets and that didn't help. But overall we had fun! Bring sunscreen the sun is brutal if you don't have it. Honestly one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. We had so much fun floating the river, it was supposed to be a three hour event however it turned into a 4 1/2 to 5 hour trip. Which we didn't mind because the beautiful skies was clear and the sun was shining bright and the temperature of the water was just right. We had about 15 people in our group and we brought beverages and snacks along the way! It was fought at all, but there were a couple of spots where the river was extremely low and rocks were exposed. This company is a complete disaster. On one of the hottest days, there were no tents or shade for customers. There are also no directions where to go, no staff to speak with, lines were so incredibly slow. LONG wait times. Hours past your reservation time. Let's first start with the misleading website were customers click on shuttle pass "with rental". False. When you do eventually check in, you come to find out that there was an additional link that was needed to be clicked on for tube rental. So what exactly is the shuttle pass "with rental" mean??? It's almost a complete scam. So they force you to buy additional and cheap tubes not meant for little kids. Once you get through that process, you have to wait in a separate line to have your cheap floats blown up. One person working with a huge line. Shuttle drivers were incredibly rude and condescending. The exit was right after the bridge and it was not easy for people. Very dangerous. Trash everywhere! read more

Well ran by teenagers, there were signs everywhere telling you where you can and can't get off, I don't know why anyone would give them a bad review about that. 3 families, each with elementary age kids, enjoyed a calm, relaxing afternoon on the float. Was our 2nd year in a row here. Rented extra float with cooler and threw snacks in it. We clipped our floats together to form a flotilla. Bring hats, water shoes, sunblock, waterproof speaker, and water guns. Look for the pull out at left and use the rope swing to jump into the river. Then closer to end of the float, look right for the big tree trunk that you can climb on and jump off into the river. After the float, call in your order and swing by Small Fryse for burgers. Or hit the Farmhouse Market for a turkey havarti sandwich (and great produce). There's a small park across from the market (riverside) with 3 picnic benches. We had a great time floating down the river. The tubes are nice and roomy and have a back, a cup holder and a bottom cover. Most of them also included one strap with buckle so you can chain together. Life vests and a paddle (frisbee with a cord) are included with the rental. Make sure to book your float time online as they often sell out. I highly recommend renting a cooler, you get a nice big cooler with its own inflated tube. There are several spots to stop along the banks where you can sit in the river, play catch or sit and eat. Even one place where people would walk out on a giant tree log and jump in. Bring your own ice. Otherwise, at least bring a buoyant water bottle. Incuded in the rental is a one way shuttle ride up stream. They have a big trailer to carry the tubes. The van has four rows and they play a guideline audio instruction on the way there. It is was kind of beat up, but fine. Make the smaller children/people climb to the back row. I recommend using a normal toilet in town before going to the rental location. The port-o-potties were VERY smelly from quite a few feet away. More than others I have used. We hooked all our tubes together in a circle formation forming a little island of sorts. Make sure to wear the provided life vests. I capsized a couple of times trying to get things out of the cooler. Also, avoid trees, especially on the Rapids. I was knocked out by another (very large) inflatable raft that could hold 6+ people. They then hit me into the trees. I must have bad luck as nobody else seemed to have anything this exciting happen to them. There is a big sign on the riverbank that is just after the bridge that tells you where to exit. You do have to climb a bit of rocky, uneven path that gets muddy from the water of the tubes draining out. So watch your step. Bring extra sunscreen and reapply several times if you are fair. Sunglasses and/or a hat are nice to have. Just don't bring anything you would hate to see float away from you. Bring a trash bag, grocery bag or large ziploc to hold trash. Also buy a clear wetbg with a lanyard if you want to take pictures on your phone. They were sold out of them at the rental site. Overall, we had a fabulous time. It is so scenic and picturesque! We went on a beautiful hot day and the cold river water felt amazing! Check the website for average float time as it varies from day to day. We took 3.5 hours. The overall experience was five stars. Staff is friendly. Kind of disorganized but it's a seasonal thing so I guess I understand. The reason for losing a star is for the following reasons below: A) it doesn't matter if you hold a reservation because you have to wait for the shuttle. Just because you have s reservation doesn't give you right of way to go first. B) it's $30 to rent tube/jacket/paddle but cost efficient to bring your own tube and paddle and just pay the $8 air/shuttle fee. The whole thing is roughly 3.5 to 4 hours depending on how many breaks you take. Make sure to bring snacks/drinks. The water was low tide when we went and water was around 65 degrees. It was perfect! Tip: Phone lanyard can be found at wal mart for like 5$. If you're bringing you're own tube, remember to bring your own paddle. Stay snackin. Stay hydrated. These guys do business! So understand what it is first. It's a few guys with a couple trailers in the parking lot. They mass purchased some very solid tubes and run vans up to the put in. They hire all the local kids to work there. On hot and busy days this place get completely overwhelmed. So know that going in. Lines are long and waiting sucks. But the amount of people they handle is overwhelming. They have bathrooms at the exit, recycle bins at the put out, they mark the river for all, and they help people get out when the river is flowing. It is a little expensive for what it is, but parking at the top is so bad the shuttle ride can be worth it. It can be done cheaper but it's a fun time. We went tubing too early. It was cold and running quick, but we were given no warnings by the staff, no indication of what was to come. All the staff I encountered at the load zone were relaxed, simply having us sign some papers to release the company from responsibility for us. I'm pretty sure the whole crew were bored teens waiting for college to start in the fall. After clearing some rapids, we landed right in a log jam. Two of us flipped our tubes, which were essentially floating tea cups, into the cold water. There was no time to redirect course and the "paddle" I was given was in actuality a frisbee attached to a cheap fastener which I had already broken. Luckily there were people fishing nearby in canoes who thankfully rushed to our rescue. I fully understand that I am responsible for myself, but after telling the staff about our near death experience, we received complete indifference and zero empathy or concern. This is without a doubt the most poorly run operation. They have unlimited reservations aka our 1pm reservation had us standing in a line out of the parking lot in 103 degree heat for 2 hours. It is Way to early in the season for this place to be open, with the lack of experience, unprofessionalism of their staff and their lack of Respect for extremely dangerous River. You should be a seasoned experienced floater as well as a Strong Swimmer, if you are going early season (June). We were told that their was safety personal, up and down the River. Let me tell you, it is a whole different kind of a Safety Patrol System, When MAD MAX and his Motor Craft, Shows up on the River all the way from Australia! Not only does he, NOT tell us who he is but he appears to be more frightened than my sister or I were. He did not help me at all by yelling at me to stay on the Rock, well I was trying to stand on a the only pointed Rock my feet could find..That staff is more concerned about the safe return of their float tubes. Luckily there were 3 experienced Kayaker-ladies, enjoying their float, offered us more help than Fall City Float. I would absolutely not take anyone under the age of 18! Fall City and and King County, seriously need to demand that this place of business, Act on putting more safeguards in place! The Wonderful Fall City Fire And Rescue team need to be on, Fall City Floats Payroll ! They are Obviously going above and beyond the call of duty, pulling out and returning, Fall City Floats Customers, all day long for several days in a row. Larger Exit Signs and Markers on the River, Staff need to give you a hand out of the Fast Current at the exit, Throw every one of those ridiculous FRISBEE'S in the trash! school staff on the proper fit of a life jacket, ( not okay, to tell people and children "oh just pick anyone you want") Collect their own equipment at the exit!
