Love, love, love this place. Everything is just soooooo tasty. Falafel as there name suggests are top notch and a force to be reckoned with. You can get either a wrap or a plate. I would recommend the plate as you get hummus at other tasty extras. A relaxed vibe about the place and doesn't feel crowded. The staff are helpful and the service is quick. Prices are brilliant for the quality and quantity of food you get.

Middle Eastern cafe serving delicious freshly made tagine dishes, wraps, soups, mezzes, salads and plates. I always opt for the Falafel Plate or Falafel Wrap - scrumptious. Great food and coffee too. I'm looking forward to trying the baklava as it looks delicious...

I came here with friends during the week and was pleasantly surprised at the cost and quality of the food we received Falafel offer excellent value for money. The food was fresh and tasty and packed full of flavour. We opted for several dishes to share and I would order each and everyone of them again! The portion sizes were excellent and the staff were outstanding I couldn't fault this place at all, although only relatively small the decor and atmosphere was excellent, the menu range is excellent, the staff were excellent, the speed in which the food arrived was excellent, and the overall quality and taste was outstanding Well worth a visit

Its right up my street "not literally or id be in it all the time" . The food is really good and the speciality coffee is something in still talking about. Black forest mocha is a dessert and coffee all in one. The saffron chicken tagine is a really nice meal. Definitely one of my top meals out.

This is a great place for middle eastern food the felafel plate is delicious and great value. The place is undergoing a bit of a refurb at the moment which has made the seating area much more comfortable

The best Kebab shop in the country, it's hard to argue with this to be honest. I have been going to…read morethis takeaway for a number of years and it rarely fails to deliver. It has recently been crowned best Kebab shop in the UK which is something that can't go unnoticed. I hadn't been here in a little while until a recent 'secretsupperclub' event was nearby and I thought to myself I must get one soon..... so I did. Like always I would go for the original kebab on bread with salad and the special Sphinx Sauce, if you have not tried this yet you are missing out! The kebab meat is real actual steak / beef pieces which tastes great especially compared to the rubbery meat other Belfast Kebabs have to offer. I speak really highly of this place because it is awesome food, but I do feel the portion sizes have also skimped over the years I also got a chip with my order and the chips literally covered the plastic container they came in and that was it. Even the size of the kebab looks as though it has shrunk down in size. Which is why sadly this is no 5 star rating for the Sphinx. That being said, if you are in the mood for a kebab you have to hit the best in town.... Which is the Sphinx, you will not be disappointed!

I always remember that when I was at school and people were talking about takeaways that they…read morerecently had, the more stranmillis and malone based members of the year would always wax lyrical about this place, proclaiming the " sphinx chip" to be the equivalent of eating heaven. I didn't go here for many years after hearing the hype and whilst realising that their praise was a bit OTT, this is a good chip shop, though many people prefer it late night as the kebab place of choice. That is fine by me as they do a kebab that is a damn sight better than what is produced by most Belfast chip shops and eateries. The shop refit has mad the place feel more clean and spacious, and the goods on offer are all well cooked and are reasonably priced. As mentioned earlier the Sphinx sauce they put on chips is amazing, although I am frightened to think what actually goes into it.... oh well, ignorance is bliss!

They don't advertise if they pay staff living wages. I think this is important to know as fair trade coffee buying is advertised from bean to cup then fairness starts with the grower and ends with the person making abc serving your drink. The staff are always a cheerful bunch and they usually get through orders quite quickly and politely. This was a quick stop for us before we went to the Grand Opera House for Hairspray. My wife opted for her usual cappuccino (£2.6) and I got a cortado (£2.35) just for a change. A cortado is of Spanish origin. In Cafe Nero's case it's an espresso mixed with a roughly equal amount of cream to reduce (cut) the acidity. It came as cortado's do, velvety smooth and lukewarm and it lasted less than a minute. I'd have this with a doughnut in Spain. It's a pretty random place inside, with mixed seating choices from tall upright wooden chairs to low couches. We chose to sink into the more comfy armchairs but like most of these coffee chains the table we sat at - like all the others we could see around - had leftover cups and food from those there before us. It's just not good enough that tables aren't cleared and cleaned and customers are invited to sit in a dirty environment and it's lousy management to hold responsible as usual. Time to start reducing stars for dirty environments and lack of wages data.

DATE OF VISIT: Sunday 8 May 2016 for an evening dinner…read more MENU: Relatively good but really needing more Vegetarian and Vegan options and for these to be clearly marked on menu. There was some sort of separate nutritional sheet which also showed Vegetarian options but it's a hassle having to look at different bits of paper and would be much more user friendly just to have Veggy dishes marked with a V on the main menu. FOOD: Sharing hummus platter starter was delicious. Superfood salad fresh and mildly flavoured whilst the beetroot and falafel burger in a bread bun was a tad mushy, bland and greasy plus the sour tasting yogurt dip/sauce it was served with didn't do much to enhance the overall flavour. Side of sweet potato fries were nice and crispy but with a weird greasy aftertaste. Portion sizes were good. DRINK: Bottle of Pinot Grigio was delightfully cold, mild and easy to drink. COST: Average with total bill of £38.85 for two people. SERVICE: Faultless, pleasant and quick. RESTAURANT DECOR/ AMBIENCE: Average, nothing special or out of the ordinary. Quite a few families with kids there when we visited. IN SUMMARY: Slim's Kitchen serve good food if a bit lacking in taste and I suspect a few dishes are not as healthy as they pertain to be since some of our food tasted quite greasy. However, it's still a reasonably good restaurant for a bite to eat, just nothing exceptional. A place claiming to be healthy also really need to offer a greater range of and more clearly marked Vegetarian and Vegan meals. I would return if friends wished to dine in Slim's however it wouldn't be my personal first choice.

Slims shakes are famous of their vegetable and fruit juice mixes that they dont add anything else but the actual real fresh fruit and vegetable to. I ordered a Superfood salad with no cheese which came in a good-sized bowl and looked super appetising! I asked for tomatoes instead of cheese that they havent charged any extra for, and the food came really quick as well. Unfortunately i didnt get the name of our waitress, but she was really friendly and helpful. I can definitely recommended Slims to anybody, vegan or not, everything is fresh and beautifully served. Thank you girls from Slims who served us today! It was delicious and the service was lovely!
