Headed to Center Point on a recent work trip. Once I dropped off the parts I headed back to Comfort looking for a bathroom break and lunch. Actually headed to the adjacent restaurant but parking was an issue. Waited on some folks who got in the vehicle to leave. Phone time I guess; finally left and went across to Fajita St. Seated quickly, drink delivered, and food ordered. House fried (I think hand cut too) chips and flavorful salsa. Within minutes I'm staring at my Cheese Enchiladas and Beef Fajita plate. Couple of observations; I was offered my choice of filling but no choice of sauce on the enchiladas. The main reason for my 4 star nod is the beef was stupid tender. I obviously wished the beef could be cooked to order (not well done). Rice and beans were good fare. For the price point I would have liked at least an avocado component. Time was of the essence and I was in and out in under 30 minutes.

Pretty darn good. I grew up with Mexican Food in San Antonio, so I have pretty high standards. We ended up at this place because there was not a whole lot opened on Friday night surprisingly, but there was a ton of cars here. Pretty good food. Our waitress was not really good about recommending stuff and we all agree that the food was pretty good. Nothing stood out as being really amazing though.

Enchiladas were "ok". Too much cheese but the gravy sauce was flavorful. Rice and beans were ok. The service was good but waitress didn't come by to refill or check if we needed anything. We had to flag her down. The place was very open and seating was great for large parties. It's pretty much the only thing open in evening so, it is what it is.

With so many good reviews, thought this was would be a winner, but for this experience... If the one fairly simple dish a restaurant is named after is a strike out ... perhaps try the place across the street? Menu - PLENTIFUL. Everything read great and pictures looked appetizing. Service - UNFORTUNATE. Waitress was unfriendly and inconvenienced by the existence of any patron. Meal - FAIL. Far from any flavor. Tortilla soup, fajita salad and chicken/steak fajitas void of warmth/heat, care, sizzle, char, flavor, seasonings.. down to having any trace of cilantro or green onions Perhaps an off night for front and back of the house but, we're out ... and wish future patrons and establishment a better experience.

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that gluten free options are limited (if this isn't an issue for you, read on for the positives)... First off, when we pulled into the parking lot we thought it was empty, only to realize that there is a wonderful row of parking spots very nicely shaded on the far end of the parking lot. As every Texas knows, in the summer, it is SO worth walking across any parking lot for a spot in the shade when parking at 6pm. Clearly this parking lot was filled with expert level Texans! The inside of the restaurant was new and very clean. The food we ordered was delicious and they even have Mexican coke. (hello! Real sugar, not HFCS! Loved it!) The corn tortillas were made fresh and were delicious, not like what you get from the grocery store. I would highly recommend them. Now for my gluten free info: Most Mexican food is "safe" in the gf world, but this restaurant marinates their meat (with the exception of chicken) in a marinade that contains gluten. The rice seasoning also contains gluten (this was a huge disappointment as most Mexican rice I eat is totally fine). Our waitress was very kind and went back to the kitchen twice to get this info for me, as there is no gf menu. She told me that the grilled and shredded chicken and grilled veggies don't contain gluten, but are cooked on the same grill as everything else. I decided to try the enchiladas with shredded chicken. I knew it was a risk, but it turned out fine and I didn't have any reaction, and they were delicious! But I would say, if you can't have any cross contamination, this isn't a safe place for you to eat, unless you want an avocado salad.

My husband had a breakfast egg, bacon and cheese taquito, and I had a breakfast burrito with egg, fried potato, bacon and added cheese, beans, and avocado. They were the best eggs we've ever tasted. The breakfast was super fresh. We walked in around 1030am on a Saturday, so there was no bartender yet, but they allowed us to sit at the bar and made us a couple drinks. They are in process of getting their patio built. We can't wait to visit again the next time we drive through Comfort, Tx. Great service, food, and ready to try out the patio.

A decent little spot for lunch, usually go to the enchiladas or a quesadilla. Have yet to have an overly bad experience.

They are consistent and priced well. Not the best, but for the location and price they hit the spot. Glad to see them staying busy!

Very affordable for Tex mex. Total turnaround for my to-go order was 7 minutes. Incredibly quick and fresh even an hour before close.

It was spacious so we weren't seated closely to the other guests. I just love the decor. We were given chips and salsa guacamole and the most delicious soup that I had ever had. The margarita selection is extensive but I recommend the Flakido - simple and perfect. No sours mix hiding the excellence of the liquor. Try it with Don Julio Silver. The New Mexico burrito was high quality beef, tender, sauces with excellent flavorful. They start you off with a lovely cup of fideo. The Blue Corn enchiladas could hold their own in Santa Fe. I liked the green better than the red but this likely changes by season. Be sure to get an over easy egg on top to run eggy goodnesses all over everything. The Burrito New Mexico was also excellent. Try it with chicken or beef. The extensive menu has Texmex, Mexican, and NewMex. Highly recommended.
