Sunday brunch! Well, no breakfast tacos this time. We actually sat down and ate breakfast ordered from their menu. I'd like to say stellar food but it's not. It's pretty good though. Their dining area in the back gets full pretty fast like it did Sunday so better get there early. The service is pretty good considering there's only 2 women running the place. One to cook and the other one is cashier and server. There was a guy helping Sunday morning though. The ambiance is small town clean. It's a lot cleaner than a hole - in- the wall kind of place. It's decorated beautifully and the walls and the floors are very clean. You can tell that the owners care about cleaning the place up for customers. My friend went there for lunch on 8/28/24 and received steak fajitas that looked like they were cooked twice (reheated from previous week) along with over cooked onions mixed with fresh onions. After consuming some of this, she got very sick to the stomach for the remainder of the day. read more

#3 was excellent. Delicious homemade flour or corn tortillas. Tacos al pastor and asada were phenomenal on corn tortillas. Barbacoa on flour was also very good. Highly recommend this hidden jewel behind the exxon for authentic mexican food. read more

This is definitely a step outside of your comfort zone. I always thought this was inside that gas station or was just not there anymore, but some friends told us about it. I'm going to tell you, they are so nice! It's clean inside and they make everything fresh there. We watched the lady in the kitchen making some sort of salsa that went into a big pot. This is what you look for when you want home cooking. The breakfast tacos are huge and the tortillas as home made and delicious. You have to try this place. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday morning for a quick bite. Three of us all got the same special--huevos rancheros. The food came out fast and fresh. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the ranchero sauce was tasty, and the service was quick. Bathroom was very clean and spacious. What a find! Delicious, fresh, generous portions, fair price, friendly staff. We had a wonderful breakfast taco mid morning that filled me up until dinner. So glad we gave this gem a try. Found this authentic South Texas Mexican Food Cafe on a trip from the upper Hill Country to visit an eye doc in San Antonio. WOW! The outside doesn't look like a place you want to go in but inside is very clean and friendly. We had the special of the day--cheese enchiladas plate, which wAs very good!!! Homemade tortillas to enjoy with it as well as red and green salsas for the chips or dinner. Would love to try more of their food. Very reasonable prices!! read more
