The food is delicious! Their chips and salsa are always fresh, as well as the guacamole. I love the Mexican beef fajita tacos. Friday's special is shrimp, fried or grilled - my favorite! Dinner comes with baked potato or fries. Hubby loves their chicken enchilada dinner and the combination plate. I forgot to mention breakfast - yum! Service is always quick and friendly. I live 20 minutes away so even though I have eaten there a couple of times, I should eat there more often. Well, both times, the food has been delicious and had service. At lunch, most of the workers make a point to eat there between 11:30 to 1:00 pm. It gets crazy busy. It mellows out after that. That's when I went. The food is regular Tex-Mex with a few other choices. I've been told that breakfast on the weekend is great but so far, I have not been able to go. Overall, the ambiance of this small town restaurant is one of good vibes, good and efficient young servers, and of course, great food. read more

Los Dos Amigos - Their take out beef enchilada plate. I ate the tortilla chips on the drive home. - Mexican Near Me - Center Point, Texas

Los Dos Amigos has the best Migas anywhere! The service is outstanding, and every time I go the decor seems to have been updated.

Everyone enjoyed their meal! We took our order to go back to the house and everything was correct. We got a healthy serving of queso and chips. Everything warmed up well for leftovers. It was dinner time when we ordered and they were very welcome and when we got there and had her order ready to go within 10 to 15 minutes. Highly recommend. The place was super cute inside read more

Decently priced Tex Mex spot in a small town. The service is great, and the salsa comes quickly. If we had to do it again, we'd skip the enchiladas in favor of the chimichangas. read more

I eat here once per week. I have been reluctant to review because it's a small town, everyone knows everything. With that in mind, I had to be right. I had to try every item on the menu before I voiced any kind of opinion. Or I know, it would be known. It's the same principle here as measure twice, cut once. Get it right. I say this not to say that because it's a small town, I have to give a good review. I approached this restaurant with the same shrewdness and objectivity as I approach any place. If you will oblige my soap box. Too often we as reviewers base one experience - good or bad - and feel this gives us the right to render judgement on the source of livelihood of another. I wanted to avoid that. And I feel very assured of this review. I've measured, I've watched, I know the weight and the medal it deserves. So let's come out strong, let's come out swinging. Los Dos Amigos is the perfect blend of small town Americana and Tex-Mex. This might sound like an odd blend, even a quizzical one. A juxtaposition even for our friends up North. But just let me explain. What is a small town Americana restaurant? Well it has these qualities: Salt of the earth people. Hard working employees who make an effort to know their customers, who hustle to make sure drinks are filled, chip baskets never run out, salsa is reloaded, and meals are delivered fast. That you feel less like a customer, but more like a friend invited over for dinner. Los Dos does this. They do it better than any restaurant I've ever been a regular at. For those who say "Americana must mean American food!" To you I say, hold on, let me tell you, they do that well. Better than any restaurant in Kerville or comfort. Growing up in San Antonio, and going to a Tex-Mex place it always felt kinda sacrilegious to order anything other than a traditional Tex-Mex item. This place has a very healthy amount of what one might call traditional items that you would find at an American diner. For those who think they would not do them well. You'd be wrong. Their chicken finger plate is a very popular and very well done item. The jumbo shrimp are incredible. Their fries should win some kind of award. Their chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak are perfect. The gravy, well they nail it with the same confidence that every Tex-Mex place brings to their queso. Their price to portion size is also something I cannot stress enough. All portions are big, all prices are meant to meet the pocket of the working man. This is a rare gem in this economy. Feed your family cheap and fast. Give them a sit down meal they'll love, without breaking the bank? That's Los Dos. Their daily specials are all great. I have tried them all. My favorite is the carne guisada. It's simple, delicious, and filling. If I had to find a fault, it would be that my tortilla warmer came with just two of the clearly fresh, made in house tortillas. I'd love six, even stuffed I would devour them all. This meal and their food, well it feels to me as akin to chicken soup for the soul as any dish I have ever had. I want it sick or healthy. It sticks to my ribs and makes me happy. I have yet to order an item and regret it. This is comfort food perfected for the south Texan. What about the table salsa you might ask? Salsa is fresh, chunky, and full of cilantro. I guess if you have the unfortunate gene where it tastes like soap you'd find fault here. But it's great. It reliably good, even for those weirdos who have no spice tolerance. So what fault does this place have? Not one in their control. It would be better if they had margs, but city ordnance in their infinite wisdom forbids it. So they just have beer (maybe wine, never ordered it). It's a great place. It feels like no matter where I sit, it's around my kitchen table. read more

Excellent chips and salsa from the start! Favorite meals: steak and eggs for breakfast, other meals flauta plate with burrito-style flautas, or a surprisingly great shrimp salad!... Always good service. read more

I have stopped in for breakfast tacos several times, but lunch today was uneatable, or I should say we shouldn't have. The crispy tacos were soggy and the bottoms fell out and my fried chimmychonga was so sogged out it was like an enchilada. We both got sick. Nasty! read more

My Girlfriend and I have been searching the Kerrville area for months for a great casual Mexican food restaurant and we finally found it! We got a couple ice cold Dos Equis which were served with dressed chilled glasses. The chips and salsa were excellent and fresh. Service was professional and food came out quick the jalapeño enchiladas are fire and the mini tacos were authentic! Can't wait to go back for another meal soon! read more

Boyfriend and I stopped in for a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. This restaurant is tucked away in the small town of Center Point and isn't flashy, but the food is fantastic and the staff is friendly. Thin and crispy chips, tasty salsa (boyfriend wishes there were onions in it), fresh and creamy queso, and our enchiladas were hot and wonderful. Homemade tortillas as well. I'll definitely be going back and would recommend it to anyone. read more

So when I first moved here 13 years ago, Los Dos amigos was one of my favorite restaurants. The food, the ambience and the owner took a lot of pride and would join you and talk to you and say hey how's the food is doing OK. I am sad to say that my last two experiences with Los Dos Amigos has been less than stellar now don't give me wrong. I have hung my head up on this place. I will never order their nachos again. I will never order the beef fajita plate again. Nacho plate that I received and brought home to enjoy. Let me tell you it was disgusting. You know how you have a nacho supreme from let's say Taco Bell you're beans get put on the chips at the time of the order when I received my nachos and I got them home not only was the beans flattened and spread across the bottom of the tray and the chips collapsed under them it was soggy-mush. In order to do that they have to be either really runny or Sit for a long time but the dead giveaway was not one crispy chip with my nachos. They were all soggy and mushy from sitting with the beans. My fajitas the vegetables were slimy and they weren't fresh. It's like they've been sitting in like a pot or pan for more than hour. I know because I've done it and I know what feels like when you let ingredients sit in a slow cooker or on a stove in a pot Becomes mushy. Nothing sustain it integrity I'm sorry Los Dos Amigos going to try to give you guys one more chance on a brighter note since they put on the bar has become a more livelier establishment but again I'm sorry I'm gonna give these guys one more chance and I'll review that one and post it too, but please stop cutting corners. Stop doing your super tacos early in the morning with a bunch of ingredients make them to order, the fresher the better. read more

Really great owner! The restaurant is always clean and the food is fantastic. Great service!

We stopped in on our way to Vanderpool to see the meteor shower. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. The salsa was absolutely delicious and made from scratch on site. We both ordered the Enchilada Combo. The taco was light and crispy, and the enchiladas and sauce were delicious. The room where the bar was is super cold! Perfect when the temp is 100 outside! We wanted to stop again on the way back but they are closed on Mondays. The waitress, whose name I wish I could remember, was very nice. And we met the owner on the way out. He was the nicest man and I could tell he takes pride in making sure his customers have great food and a nice experience. We just plain loved this restaurant. read more

Los Dos Amigos has been in business for 6+ years, it's not that far from my home in Kerrville but until today, I've never paid it a visit. Some friends and I were at the Camp Verde General Store Open House which isn't far from Center Point, so we decided to give it a try. The place is family owned and run; the service is good, friendly and caring and the food came out quickly. The tortilla chips were thin and crisp but cold; the salsa was homemade and first rate with a pronounced cilantro flavor and the heat level was low. Not anywhere near the heat level I favor but it suited my friends who weren't pepper bellies like me. I ordered the tamale plate, my friends the beef nachos and chalupas. My friends enjoyed the nachos and chalupas; lots of cheese and meat on the nachos, lots of lettuce on the chalupas but skimpy on the beans. My tamale plate consisted of four tamales, rice and refried beans. The tamales were nothing special but I must admit, I've tasted worse. The menu stated they were covered in chili con carne and cheese; the cheese was there but to my disappointment, they were covered in an enchilada sauce. When I asked the waitress, she said they didn't have any chili con carne; it would have been nice to have been told this up front as I would have ordered something else. The beans were dull, no real flavor to speak of but the rice was quite good; of everything on the plate, that was the winner. Over the years, I've happened upon many hidden gems in tiny towns such as Center Point; unfortunately, Los Dos Amigos isn't one of them. read more

Los Dos is our regular go-to for Mexican food!! Great service and really nice people!!

I moved to this area back in early June 2022. I've been exploring what there is to explore. That said, I had traveled through Center Point always going elsewhere to eat-such as Bandera, Fredericksburg, Llano and San Antonio. I never stopped at this restaurant till about 2 weeks ago. Glad I did. I had a burrito plate with meat, rice, beans etc. I was able to bring half of it home it was so big. I thought the prices were good. The food was good, the corn chips you get rival El Jimadore in Kerrville. They were excellent, fresh, warm. The waitress did a great job, was very attentive, and the restaurant was clean. All around great experience and I will be eating dinner there in about 2 hours. read more

Very good food and service. Had a good meal and enjoyed the place. Really cold beer too.

My husband and me have been living in Kerrville our whole life (small town next to Center Point) and I've never tried this place. Firstly- the place smelled of authentic Mexican food! Just like my wela's! We were promptly seated and taken care of by our waitress. She was very attentive, sweet, and very friendly. The chilé served with the tortilla chips was filled with cilantro (perfect) and it blew me away. It was delicious and smooth. Not too spicy either. I ordered geeen enchiladas and my husband ordered Chile relleno. They both came with heavy portions of retried beans and Mexican rice and flour tortillas. Everything tasted very fresh, delicious, and much better than I expected. Best Chile relleno I've ever tried for sure! This is our new go to place for a good Mexican plate. My husband usually leaves hungry as he can put down a lot and we both ended up full and satisfied. This place is wonderful. read more

Very popular restaurant with locals. Large menu, bar and good food.

We stopped here for a late lunch the other day. We walked in, waited for a few minutes at the register, and finally a server told us to find a seat anywhere. The dining room was about 1/3 full, but we only found one table to sit because all of the other empty tables still had unbussed food plates. Service wasn't bad and the food was OK, but the entire time we ate there were two tables next to us that sat with half-empty plates of food and nobody cleared the plates or cleaned the tables. Not a good indicator of cleanliness at a place to eat. read more

Not far from Kerrville, where I was at a conference, is this little blip-in-the-road of a town called Centerpoint. The town is not one of those that's so small "if you blink, you'll miss it", but it comes close. I passed through here twice before without realizing there was anything here. But as I left town to go to the conference, a friend who is a biker and gets off the beaten path often, suggested this place. Like any Mexican food restaurant worth it's salt, I got a pre-order bowl of chips and salsa. Not an auspicious beginning, as I don't think there was any jalapeno in the salsa. Now ordinarily I can eat pretty spicy stuff, but I don't think my taste buds have been cauterized to the point where I could miss it entirely. Bland sauce to start, maybe the food would be spicier to make up for it. Well, not really. Neither the appetizer or the quesadillas had much zing at all. Both were tasty and nothing else bad to say about it if you are OK with milquetoast fare. I prefer some spice in my Mexican food, which is why I choose real barrio Mexican restaurants over the yuppie posers like Mamacita's. The waitress was nice and attentive or this might be only a 2 star rating. read more

Been here two times, can't really say much about it except its decent for its location. I usually get just a water and a couple side dishes. But my friends like this place and I go here whenever were in the area. Other than that, its another decent Mex place in the Kerrville area. read more

First visit! Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. Obviously following Covid guidelines. All employees wearing masks. Chips were thin, crisp and warm. Salsa was mild and fresh. Food was very good, well presented and generous proportions. Taco salad was served in a large puffy tortilla bowl, with the extra guacamole that was requested. The enchilada plate included a fat crispy taco, rice and beans. We took half our meal home so we could have dessert. The sopapias were excellent! read more

Los Dos Amigos is a quality restaurant with a menu that will be familiar to almost all Tex-Mex diners and seem basic to the more sophisticated palate, but does so at the highest level Center Point has to offer. The restaurant's owner is almost always on hand to greet patrons and makes sure every one is getting what they want. He is a professional with years of experience in the food service industry. His wait staff features nice young people who are attentive, congenial and helpful. I have yet to see them make a mistake. The menu is standard Tex-Mex and is designed to be accessible to locals, not to compete with the likes of San Antonio or Austin's best Tex-Mex. On those standards, it will feed you at a fair price with an earnest effort. The taco salad was not impressive. Everything else is hard to complain about. I really like the chicken fried steak. They are opening a small bar which will accommodate about 7-10 patrons; I am unsure about further details. At the moment, this restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages, but I was told they allow you to bring your own, and have seen several customers do so. read more

The super taco is the best. It originated from the guys at frontier truck gear. We got tired of trying to phone in 20 different orders so we told Jose make us a taco with everything. Jose and his staff are very attentive as are his kitchen staff. Nice warm family atmosphere. My only complaint is that he needs more tables. read more

Center Point is a tiny town, but here at Los Dos (as we call it) Jose serves up some of the best Mexican food in Texas, and the prices are very reasonable. They also have a few Mexican beers in addition to the usual Coors, etc., such as Bohemia and Dos Equis. The decor is nothing amazing, but it's clear that some thought and love went into making this little place pleasant. The service is prompt and friendly always, and the food comes out HOT and FAST. And the food! Best beef fajitas ever! The meat is lightly seasoned, tender, and never ever greasy. The tortillas are home made, of course, and wonderful. The chicken tacos are made with a pulled, roasted chicken that is so savory you will want two orders to yourself. The quesadillas are crisp and light and lovely whether you get beef fajita meat, chicken, or good old plain cheese. I also love the green enchiladas (not on menu, but sometimes on special). Even their tortilla chips are lighter and crispier than any I've had in any other Mexican restaurant--and always served hot with their tasty salsa. But what I find myself craving is the beef fajita nachos. Made with real cheddar cheese, never liquid cheese food, the contrast of the perfectly grilled flank steak and savory red ride beans and tart cheese on crispy tortilla chips. Sigh. I know what's for supper tonight. read more
