She smiled and shared many laughs with us. She was very knowledgeable about the place, background, food and drinks. I love love love that it's nonsmoking!! They are family friendly so next time we will bring our little ones. I'm not sure which days are what or when but they have a dj, karaoke, and line dancing. On each table they have a game you can play like scramble, tic tac toe, etc... Food and drinks were good. We had pizza and nachos. Nachos were smaller than expected. Definitely not shareable lol.. anyway nothing to really brag about there but the prices are pretty decent. I enjoyed myself so much talking with Keri and my husbae and playing games, that I kept forgetting to take pictures. I have a few to share. Come on out for date night, girls/guy night out or bring the whole crew out! I definitely recommend this place. And if you see Keri tell her I sent you!

She and the entire staff were professional, organized, and made sure everything ran so smoothly. The groom and I barely had to think about anything going on behind the scenes, which allowed us to simply enjoy the night and spend time with our guests. We truly could not be happier with how our reception turned out. Having the food, bar, and hotel all right on the property was also incredibly convenient for us and our guests. We cannot thank Sandy and the staff enough for running such a wonderful reception hall and helping make our wedding day so special. We would absolutely recommend the Speakeasy to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

Website does not make it clear! I want to preface, I had frequented the Spa restaurant in the 1970-1990's. The ambiance and history of the place made it so charming, along w the raccoon show! I am thrilled someone is keeping the speakeasy alive! So many wonderful memories!! With that said, I don't live " down the street" so to speak. We come out on Sunday's to hike the nearby trails or use the beaches. With the area now designated as a National Lakeshore, it would be to this establishments benefit to open from 11 am /12pm on Saturday & Sunday! If I knew they would be open, I'd love to stop in after spending time at the National Park! You're losing business to Wagner's!

Unfortunately, when a place is this level of hype and price, the first trip means a ton and the expectations are high. The good: - awesome atmosphere, deck is great, and overlooks the lake. Couldn't be a better spot to dine out. - service was good, even though they were busy they didn't have us wait a while for anything. -scallops were excellent, perfect sear on them. The reason for the low review: - Beef Wellington.... It's rare to find and we heard so many people comment that's why they were they, including us. It says 10 oz filet, it was not tonight. It was some 3 sliced cut beef that was well well done. Despite being told it would be medium rare. - Seasoning. Nothing had salt or pepper. Everything had garlic. And by garlic I mean huge cloves of it. Both the scallops and filet had cloves of garlic all over. The filet was cooked great, but I didn't have any juice from the steak and the flavor was blown out by the garlic. Just refer to a majority of my reviews, more than willing to pay a premium price for an awesome dining experience, but the food is first and foremost important. Maybe we got them on a bad night, but unfortunately that was our experience. Edited to add pictures to review from 05June.

It's a solid three minutes before we're even greeted. (My friend went to the bathroom and back before anyone showed up.) That may not seem like a whole lot. But time it. Imagine standing there. Waiting. To be acknowledged for three minutes. And not even that they were ignoring us but NOBODY was up there. And our server. I don't know. Maybe everyone just needs better training. I left here feeling incredibly underwhelmed. And I will not be going back. They do have a lot for parking. It's on a hill but they do have one.

The coconut curry shrimp lacked the depth and really any flavor you'd expect for something curried, the jerk wings lacked that quintessential smoke flavor and smell and at opening when we went they said we're out of rice and peas and substituted it for overcooked jasmine rice and the pineapple upside down cake was also unavailable.
