birthday party at Uno's Speakeasy at the spa

The food, service and entertainment are the best here at the speakeasy at the spa, Uno's, Sue and Nicky are the best, Sue is an awesome manager and Nicky a great server, you could not ask for a better night out. The service is beyond exceptional and the kind and attentiveness that Sue provides as a manger is more than one would ever expect. I tell all my friends to come here, and they do. I can't say enough good things about this place. Absolutely 5 stars for sure.

Uno pizzeria at the speakeasy has got to be by far the best pizza in Indiana or anywhere. It is authentic Chicago pizza and when we found out that there was an Uno pizzeria here we were elated. We have been back now twice and we look forward to going back even more. Great staff great food great experience. I think everyone should take the time and go to Uno pizzeria at the speakeasy in Chesterton. They are also having a Sunday brunch here for Mother's Day that we're going to. I'll let you know how that is but I'm sure it's going to be wonderful.

Kara was our bartender and she was fantastic, kind, and made our drinks exactly as requested. She made the craft cocktails menu herself and knows her stuff. This was a perfect getaway from the Spring House Inn and the theme was adorable. It was a clean, inventive atmosphere and it's open! Don't miss out on this

This review is for PIZZERIA UNO PORTER. We have come many times and I am just now realizing I haven't left an official YELP review. Friday nights is our favorite night because it's "Friday night pizza night" for our family. We try new places all around northwest IN and venture off to recommended places and follow our random guide I have made in maps. BUT, no matter where we try we always come back to Pizzeria Uno Porter. The family atmosphere (even tho two of our favorite mother daughter servers left, grandma is still our favorite host ) the atmosphere is everything to us. Always great service and the dining room is always clean. My kids love the tree in front and have had so many amazing times and laughs here you will always catch us playing Uno while we wait for our food. The food is ALWAYS PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!! I have added pictures from the many times here to show it's aka ways too notch!

The food was ok, but I thought it was overpriced and quality was average. Unfortunately, when we went there was only one person running the show because the rest of the staff called off. She was able to manage it by herself. The Pavilion is located by a couple trails as well, if you like to explore.

To get to the restaurant, you would have to follow the signs to the Indiana Dune State Park…read moreentrance and pay a hefty $12 parking fee. The entrance to the Pavilion is deceiving because it appears upscale which is contradicting to the menu options. Eight of us dined in on a summery Saturday evening so it came with a nice lakeside, sunset view. We had the mixed greens in Athena with steak skewer, grilled chicken sandwich with fries, and kid's meal with chicken tenders and chips. The steak skewers did not look appealing but thankfully had better flavors and textures than its appearance. The grilled chicken is rather small in which there was definitely way more bun than chicken. The sandwich is typically served with chips but one can substitute the chips with fries for a $2 fee. The chicken tenders were surprisingly a large portion for just $8 but the skin was not crispy. Nonetheless, the main priority is to have my girls fed and this meal with mediocre American fare did the deal. They ate both of the carbs and proteins without issue.

We came in because of a suggestion of a volunteer at The Visitors Center at Indiana Dunes National…read morePark. It did not disappoint. From the moment we parked, we were greeted by some friendly people outside. We walked in on the bar side and were directed to the dining side. Even with being on the restaurant sode, you coupd not hear the bar sode activity, so it was perfect if you have kids and want to have conversations. The bar side, even though we didn't hang out over there, had pool tables, a big bar area and Golden Tee. Theresa, our server, came right over and offered drinks. Fireball special on Tuesdays? Yes, please! I then told her we were from St. Louis, and shockingly (not really), there was a connection. She has family members that live in St. Louis! She recommended the tacos and burger so we naturally got 1 of each, along with a side of tots! Everything was wonderful! You do get free chips and salsa with any entrée, but the salsa really didn't have any flavor. Theresa also told us about their breakfast, but our hotel had complimentary breakfast. We should have listened to Theresa and went there. Oh well, there is always next time!

What a great gem! Our waitress was Nina (not sure if I am spelling that right as her name is…read morepronounced, Nine-ah). She was freaking awesome! I couldn't decide what soup I wanted...choices were a mushroom soup or New England clam chowder. She brought me out samples of both! Who does that?!? The clam chowders loaded with clams but just not like I have had at the shore. I chose the mushroom soup and I'm telling you, this soup would rival the soup from Kennett Square, PA...the mushroom Capital of the World! Met the owner, Leroy. Super nice guy! Biker friendly bar. Will stop back on our way to Sturgis!
