We got a peaches and cream milkshake. The customer service was really good, they even accidentally made too much so we basically got two smoothies! Flavor was amazing, we thought there wasn't enough flavor variability. Not enough chunks for our liking either. Overall a solid 7.7 out of 10.

Many delicious flavors of ice cream.

I wish I'd known when I went in the front door that the ice cream shop was in the other half of the building, as I stood around for a while hoping to see an employee. I finally ventured further into the building, to where a wide variety of interesting flavors of rich, tasty, genuine ice cream, and all the employees were. And even though I tasted a few delicious ones first, the two I liked best should not have been put in a cup or cone together! My bad, because there were many choices that would've been more suitable partners! The service from the young staff was good. But despite the fact that I go into almost every ice cream place or parlor I see, I was surprised by how high the prices were.

We were in the area at a nearby park and decided to stop by and try the ice cream out. The store itself is unique and vibrant with the rollaway doors, bright colors and plants. My husband tried out a Bavarian cream donut instead of ice-cream and our grandson had soft serve vanilla and I had one scoop of salted caramel and one of vanilla with peanut butter. My husband said the donut was good. I tried my grandson's ice cream because he wasn't really wanting it and wanted mine. His was not very flavorful at all. My ice cream didn't have distinct flavors to be able to say what it was. The peanut butter one was the better of the two. My husband and I both felt like the customer service was stiff and lacking in friendliness.

I stopped in for an ice cream and left happy, as always. This place is the best, we need one in the northland!!! Whenever I'm in the area, I have to stop for a goodie here. I'm usually too late for the amazing donuts, but the ice cream is always amazing. They have such interesting flavors to try, both hard and soft. I always lean towards passion fruit or other fruity flavors myself, but they have it all! They also have pints of ice cream for sale and assortment of elbow chocolates for sale. Service is always fast and friendly. Go out of your way for this one!

It was the perfect day for ice cream, so my girls and I stopped in for an after school treat! I didn't expect them to also have coffee & donuts. Definitely an interesting combo, but I'm here for it! We just stuck with the ice cream on this visit though. I liked that there was a good mix of fun ice cream flavors (think lavender honey, strawberry matcha, etc) and the classics (strawberry, vanilla, cookies & cream, etc)! And there were a variety of different cone options and toppings! It was also fun to see soft serve on the menu- I was super intrigued by the raspberry soft serve! I got the strawberry matcha- it was a lot more strawberry than matcha, but I still enjoyed it! The ice cream scooper was super nice and patient with us as we all decided what ice cream/ cone combination we wanted! There's both indoor and outdoor seating. Not sure if this is always the vibe, but there was folky music playing in the background that I really enjoyed! Definitely a solid ice cream (and maybe coffee and donut?) spot!

Ran out of vanilla so that was disappointing. Strawberry was very good but lavender was odd and had real pieces of flowers inside - not very appealing. Cute on the outside though!

Very cute place settled in a neighborhood! I had a hazelnut cortado and it was good. I will update my review when I go back & try their ice cream. Workers were very nice! 4 stars felt too high, but 3 feels too low -- 3.5

Today's flavor- Persian Rose Pistachio-- unique and delectable! Quick service, music selection and volume are just right ;)

The vibe of Fairway Creamery is great, especially for families! We saw several on our visit. Our cones were served up so quickly that I couldn't even pay before they were in our hands and I used my phone to check out! The ice cream was just average. It was good but if I'm going out of my way, I expect spectacular. Luckily, I was in the area and they definitely scratched the ice cream itch. I will say, I'd never had a chocolate waffle cone before...it was great, tasted very brownie like! If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a try but if you're wanting a unique experience, this might not be the place. Having said that, it seems like it would be reliable solid and good for the classics!

This place is the bomb dot COM! I just moved nearby recently and took an evening walk to the creamery. We walked in and immediately grabbed two pints because I just had a good feeling! AND I WAS RIGHT! There were so many incredible flavors to choose from. They have a soft serve that is changed every month? I believe (maybe week). My boyfriend got the cookies and cream which was delicious with soft cookies. I got a goat cheese and beet (yes) milkshake! It was so yummy. The service was so nice and the employees were just so sweet. I will be walking there sometime this weekend to try breakfast!

My absolute favorite ice cream place in town. They are very good about creating different flavors to keep up with seasonal changes. I've enjoyed everything I've had here so far. The line is always long but very efficient. The parking lot is small but there is amole street parking. I really love that they have plenty of seating too. I always recommend Fairway Creamery to my friends because I know they'll be just as hooked on the flavors here.

    Chelsey V.

So hard to choose sometimes you have to make your own sampler platter! So many options on flavors, love their soft serve options the most, and the toppings list will have you spending several minutes contemplating how many you can fit on your scoop! Highly recommend, and their outdoor seating is so cute and perfect for warm weather and pets!

As I venture further into consulting and meet with more people, I'm less interested in simply asking, "Is this a good coffee shop?" and more interested in, "Who is this place good for?" I came to Prairie specifically looking for somewhere to collaborate. Good tables, enough room to spread out papers, sit across from someone, compare laptops and actually have a conversation without feeling like you're taking over the entire coffee shop. Urban Prairie absolutely fits that bill. What I wasn't expecting was how much more there was to it. There's a game store attached, which was such a cool surprise, plus another room with larger tables that would be even better for brainstorming or working with a small group. Then right in the middle you still get that classic cozy coffee shop atmosphere people actually want. Some people need a quiet corner and headphones. Some need a place to catch up with a friend. Some of us show up with two laptops, papers everywhere and ideas to work through. Urban Prairie gives you options for all three. I'm going to keep trying different coffee shops around KC with that mindset because sometimes the best review isn't whether a place is "good." It's whether it's the right place for what you need that day.

Yes, $9. That's on the expensive side for a latte, so I went in with pretty high expectations. Everything about the experience was quick and efficient. The line moved fast, my drink came out quickly, and I was in and out with no issues. The shop itself seemed like a great place to sit down and get some work done or catch up with a friend. Since it was such a nice day, I decided to sit outside. My first sip immediately stood out because of the texture. It was probably the smoothest coffee I've ever had; silky, creamy, and almost pillowy on the tongue. Unfortunately, that's where most of my praise ends. The coffee itself tasted fine, but nothing about the flavor stood out, especially considering the price. I ordered a vanilla latte, but I couldn't taste any vanilla at all and got virtually no sweetness from the drink. Overall, it's not bad coffee by any means, and the texture was genuinely impressive. But for nearly $9, I expected a lot more flavor. I don't regret trying it, but I wouldn't come back at that price point.

It was very flavorful and very filling. I would've loved it even more if it were piping hot instead of just warmed, but it still got the job done! As for the drink-- The pistachio flavor definitely overpowered the hazelnut flavor, but since I love pistachios, I didn't mind it as much as I would typically. Today was my first day using a cane after weeks of weaning myself off of crutches and I was moving pretty slow. As I approached the counter I was looking for a seasonal drink menu to see what unique beverage could kick-start my afternoon. I didn't see one anywhere and asked if they had any seasonal offerings from the barista. She looked puzzled and annoyed and said "here is our syrup list". I stated that I was looking for more of a seasonal drink menu or featured beverages not on the regular menu that most every coffee house offers. In an exasperated tone, she turned around and pointed at the main menu board with all the basics and replied; "This is what we serve". Wow! I politely ordered my go-to cortado for here and left a tip. I then hobbled over to the nearest table to the pick-up counter and waited. A few minutes later the same barista brought the drink to the counter, looked at me an entire 4 feet away and shouted "cortado" and walked away. Wow again! If I was in the business of customer service and receiving tips I would be damn sure to take the beverage to the customer when they're 48 inches away and the shop wasn't busy; regardless of customer mobility issues. I have never asked for a tip back, but I sure felt like it at that moment. My Cortado was tasty, but not enough to remove the foul taste in my mouth from blatant customer disrespect. It's got lots of seating (bar height, low tops and then couches) and they have a shaded patron for those who want to soak in some vitamin D! I will say that it's a little walk up from the parking lot, but they have ada accessible sidewalks so if you have a wheelchair or stroller it's not hard to get to. It's a little confusing where to access it best from the looping parking lots, but North lot seems the most direct. Now for the best part, the coffee and food items! All of that being said, once I got close to the coffeeshop itself I saw a sign clearly visible from the lot which was my first breath of relief. The signage is spectacular for a fairly hidden spot. Yes, you need to know it's here, but you will find it rest assured! If you don't see the sign keep hunting. The nice thing about it being in an office park is that there is ample parking.
