I haven't been over to this part of town in years, and when a friend asked me to meet him at this spot, I was shocked by how much has gone up here. I remember when that Winco first showed up, now there's a bunch of places. This Fairway Coffee is a great spot. I was meeting a friend here, and had their lavender vanilla, it was wonderful. They have great service, and a really cool atmosphere that makes it a great place to sit and read, write, or, as I did today, meet someone. Love Stumptown coffee but the Americano I ordered was disappointingly watered down. Bagels here are great! Made locally in Vancouver. Friendly service but be ready to wait if you walk in. Bought a house nearby and the excitement I felt over finding this place!! Stumptown is my favorite coffee and I was excited to be near a coffee shop that wasn't Starbucks. The first coffee was delicious. And maybe a few sprinkled in were good or ok. But the service was always crappy. Inside or in the drive through the ladies were always just not interested in being friendly and the coffee consistently just sucked. Basically just milk. The drinks are good and well priced whenever I go to this coffee spot! I used get some sort of energy drink or latte but I once tried the matcha and it was not for me at all. It did not taste like matcha by any means, that is the only negative experience I have had here. The workers are always so friendly and quick with getting the drinks out! The staff appear somewhat friendly until you ask a question (like why is the price different than on the billboard). Instead of politely explaining they seem to take any question as a personal attack and become rude. I know customer service jobs are hard, but dang. This time I asked why my water and double shot cost so much. She nastily said because the water costs 50 cents (never been charged before) and the double shot costs such and such. I said okay and took my card out of my wallet and she snatched it out of my hand and ran it herself. WTHeck? Yeah, coffee is too expensive anymore to have a bad experience. I'm won't be going here anymore. P.S. response to another reviewer ... $7.07 is somehow the default amount when they are not charging you the correct amount. Phenomenal coffee with diverse flavors (if you're into lattes), though I love a good cappuccino The staff is always nice and I really appreciate how they keep us safe during COVID. Finally stopped by Fairway and it did not disappoint! I appreciated the drive thru, especially on hot days like today, when I want to keep the AC going. The stamp cards are a nice touch and since the menu revealed the multitude of beverage and food options, very motivating! It's affordable too, where else can you find a decent breakfast sando, burrito, anything under $5? Not pictured, but also highly valued was the inclusion of the traditionally, seasonal PUMPKIN cold brew. Alternatives to dairy available upon request. My favorite coffee place. Their coffee is always tasting the same, each time I order. The coffee is never burnt and is so so yummy :))

Finally gave this place a try when meeting a friend and was glad I did. Had the honey vanilla latte (it was good) and the girls making it were very nice too. The only things I didn't care for was a) the seating layout as there isn't much overall (so we had to share a big table with other people) and b) the noise level. Stopped by this coffee shop to see if they had a chocolate croissant since my toddler was asking for one. My husband and I both ordered coffee drinks and 2 croissants and ended up paying around $29. As we were driving out of the drive through I tasted my coffee it was so watered down and so bland. I could barely taste the coffee and to make matters worse my coffee was lukewarm . The worst. I decided to go inside and ask if they had put any shots in my coffee since I only taste water and milk. The cashier or barista turned and looked at me rudely and said we add 3 shots pay me $1.65 for another shot. I told her it's lukewarm all she responded was pay me additional 1.65 . I was surprised no apology let me fix it oh no. She was demanding additional payment for their mistake so my disgusting cup of coffee would practically cost me $10 . This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. This coffee shop is one of the stingiest coffee shops around. They probably save on the coffee beans no wonder the coffee is watered down:( very unprofessional and horrible customer service. They can only increase their prices on their eatery milky coffee and decrease good customer service. All the employees should get a class on better customer service. Don't recommend this shop at all. Fairway Coffee is an excellent stop for breakfast or lunch. They have an easy corner location and seating inside and outside. There's seating for a work meeting or just to pop in. Service was very nice. The workers seem happy and they are laid back and helpful. We had our order in a minute. They brought it out to us. It felt almost like a nice restaurant. I had a Pepperoni "Zippie", which was delicious. It was like a mini-calzone. Not too heavy, but filling and tasty. Well done. My friend had a Brunch Zippie that he loved too. Stumpton Coffee is proudly displayed. Fairway takes it's coffee seriously. Overall, I loved my first visit and will keep this on my list Easy, comfy, inexpensive and delicious. I was definitely surprised did the prices double on everything? cold brew tasteless coffee with some foam with some cream does not cost that much. Ordered a blended green tea with whip but the barista did not hear me say whip so then when I reminded her she snatched it and stalked off then came and slammed it back in front of me like it was my fault even though she just didn't hear me, I didn't say it rudely at all, just wanted whip on my drink like I had already asked for when ordering it. No specific hours very inconsistent. Staff is rude & would not help or anything when asking the hours. Ignored me when it states that drive-through hours don't stop until 530. There's a sign on the window that says they will be closing at four until September 12. Adorable little place. Very good drinks, and their punchcard deal is great. I go for their milkshakes even in the middle of winter just because they're so delicious. Amazing staff. I can not say enough how incredibly nice they are. Today I came to get some coffee on my way to my nursing school exam. An elderly person fell on the side walk and with the team work the staff showed we all helped him together, it impressed me incredibly. We all worked together as this persons wound was severe. They provided the necessary first aid, they even moved my car! I was so shocked at how nice and comforting they were to help me. Timing is everything, without the towels and material provided this man could have bled out. These staff deserve everything when I was just in the right place. So I want to make sure they're appreciated greatly by sharing on social media. Show love and kindness to fairway employees. I was greatly given a gift card and a coffee but I feel I owe them more for being so kind to help me, help this person. They are much more than just baristas! There are many places in Portland/Vancouver area to get stumptown coffee from and this is not one I would recommend. First: I drink pure espresso because I like the taste of coffee, and I'm very familiar with a quality pulled shot of stumptown and how it tastes and balanced. Been here 3 or 4 times and their shots are inconsistent. The last time, the pulled shot was only about 1 oz (they claim they pull 2 oz shots) and it was very acidic compared to a well pulled shot. Second: They charge you almost $3 for basically 1 oz of espresso. Way too expensive even if it was good quality. Again, love coffee and love stumptown, but this place is not a good representation of the quality espresso that I'm used to. read more

Cute little gem that is local & family owned. Employees are super nice, and patient. Place is clean and good spot to sit back to chit chat with some friends. It's definitely busy, but they get to you right away. I'd say the drive thru sees more patrons than the inside does. We came inside, and my first experience here was with a good friend and it was so good that I raved about it to my husband and we came as a family. I got there hot medium size latte with caramel white mocha with an extra shot of espresso( 3 in total), first visit had their fruit bagel that tasted like fruity pebble cereal, and second visit I got their (I think it was a stuffed bagel) sausage,egg, potatoes. It totally reminded me of a hot pocket. It was ok kind of mushy, but the kids got their warmed coffee cake and throughly enjoyed. When we travel they like to always get coffee cake and rate it. Don't know where they source their pastries they're pretty good. Bagels are nicely toasted and are "meaty". I think they need to work on their food option. Not sure if there's an English muffin with sausage and egg, but something that's layers like a sandwich rather than stuffed would be tasty. read more

I just had the greatest experience here today. Today was an extremely emotional day for me, I just needed a coffee to help me make it to the end of my day. I had never been to Fairway coffee before. I went through their drivethru, not knowing the menu. I had told the man (Wyatt) I was needing help (barely able to talk without crying, my day has been that bad). And to be honest, I was a bit curt. He said he would surprise me and if I didn't like it, he would fix it. I get to the window, and I am greeted with this... "I heard you are having a bad day, I am going to fix you up with a delicious drink. I'm going to make sure it is perfect for you and it's on us. I hope it helps out and we hope to see you again" I broke down... I truly needed that act of kindness and grace. It was a black and white blended coffee and it was AMAZING. Top choice for coffee every time! They use Stumptown coffee which I can't seem to find anywhere else. I wish I could buy it in the grocery stores but I have yet to find it. The baristas are friendly for the most part. They're pretty quick to get drinks out too. I usually go inside rather then the drive through. It's super cozy and have lots of seating. If youre needing a quick breakfast get a stuffed bagel! They describe them as sort of a mini calzone and they are delicious. My personal favorite is the ham and cheese but they're all good. Last but not lest they do offer stamp cards buy 10 get one free! I just always forget to ask them to stamp mine. Some of the baristas are really good about asking if I already have a card and some don't ask at all, but no biggie. I'll keep coming back for the good coffee and stuffed bagels! read more

Update: I still come here a lot and I've noticed everyone being a lot more friendly so I'm assuming the woman I'm talking about below was having a bad day :) This is my favorite place to get coffee and I basically come here everyday, but I'm starting to notice some of the employees are super unfriendly. I'm not asking for baristas to act like they work at Dutch Bros, but the girl at the window today didn't even crack a smile at me and I had my 2 cute dogs in the car!!! It Like I know working customer service sucks because I've been there but come on! It made me super uncomfortable and to top it off I was charged like a dollar for ice water which I know must be policy, but I feel like they should tell you that when you order one. My husband and I moved to Battleground not to long ago from Vancouver this place is always on the way to the I205 so I decided to stop by and give it a try about a month ago and been hooked ever since. On the super Hot days a Stumptown cold brew with half and half hits the spot every time. Most time we get the white mocha hot or iced with half the sweetness and it's so good! What a joke of a coffee shop! No WiFi, in an area with no cell service? Don't advertise WiFi and not have it. Our WiFi concern was mentioned and then in a very rude and dismissive way we were told we'd have to wait. That's all customer service based though... as for their coffee - they have plenty of alt milk options but there was little to no coffee in my latte. Super weak coffee (especially for stumptown) and weak customer service. I should have gone to the other coffee shop... you know the big brand one that I don't like to support unless desperate. read more
