So you can imagine my absolute delight when Chaos opened in Hazel Dell, merely three miles from my home! Chaos is an adorable bright pink truck, adorned with the coolest skeleton motif and run by a beautiful and hilarious mother-daughter(s) team, who brew Kafiex beans with the most skilled and consistent results in town! Brewed Awakenings who?? I don't know her anymore! Chaos makes Washington-style Americanos with aplomb using plenty of ice so you don't just end up with a watery mess, and the price is incredibly low, especially for the quality. Kafiex are truly one of the best roasters in the entire world, not just the county or state! I imagine the smoothies and matcha are good too, but I'm too busy slurping 32 oz of caffeinated goodness to branch out. I get something different nearly every time, and NEVER has Chaos disappointed. Rebecca, Maribel, and the other assorted family members are such a welcome and needed addition to our area. My only wish is that they'll open more locations and stay open later!

I pulled up, the barista took my order, a blended drink. Then, as I sat, waiting for her to make my drink, she literally ignored me. Now, I wouldn't have normally been put off by this, because, hey, she's busy making my drink....except that she held an entire conversation with the gentleman who was at the other window. After the initial taking of my order, the next thing she said to me was to ask me if I wanted whip cream. She did ask if I have a punch card (I don't), then gave me the total, ran my card and that was it. That being said, yesterday I was charged about eight dollars for a 20 ounce quad iced breve. This morning, I ordered a 16 ounce quad iced breve it was told I'd be charged almost $12. Apparently, these guys charge three dollars for an extra double shot of espresso. The price justification being that the 20 ounce comes with a quad shot while the 16 ounce comes with a double shot. Their pricing is totally screwed up and I never get charged the same thing by any one employee. I even used their mobile order app for a while with the highest price subscription, which is supposed to include two free drinks a day. I still couldn't get a simple quad iced breve 16 ounce without being charged for extra shots. When I asked why, they explained people were taking advantage and ordering 12 shot drinks. I understand that abuse needs to be mitigated, but put a cap on the number of shots you can add instead of railroading customers operating in good faith. To tell people they get two free drinks per day and then charge them for doctoring up their drinks is false advertising. I have also shown up at least three times at 6:20 AM to a close stand and no one there

My husband and I absolutely love it. Coming from two people that worked in coffee for over 6 years, the coffee is always great, but the cherry on top is the consistency. No matter who is working, the drinks always taste the same which can't be said about every coffee shop, local or not. The service is always great, the line goes quick, coffee is delicious, and we love their seasonal menus. We've also taken several of our out of town friends and they've all been obsessed.
