Ladies, Allow me to share with you the reasons why I love Uplift Guide Fitness:…read more 1. I feel safe and comfortable -around only ladies! (Never felt like that in mixed gyms before) 2. The trainers are super! Always assisting me, making sure that I do exercises in the right form no only to avoid injuries, but also to get results- one day Chris watched me doing a exercise with weights and she corrected by posture by a couple inches and BAM! What a difference!! -sore for 3 days! But results within 2 weeks!! Yah me!!! Trainers are literaly 'super trained" and accessible when I have questions! They always explain with clarity what is expected from each exercise and the way that it works in specific muscles, including the right weight, pace, and "very important" -control over the movement! And believe me! If you do exactly that they guide you to do --You will see results in not time! 3. The classes!! -they are fantastic! I love all the classes but -yoga, barre, or cardio classes are my favorites, they have taken my weight training to the next level. There are so many to choose from! The instructors are fun and passionate! they don't motivate, they inspire! 4 .The weight training programs -I love that my routines change, I never bore! I may sometimes modify the weight or the number repetitions but focus on the good form and then -BAM again!! my body changes too!! Trainers teach me the whole routine for the first time and record my profile. They help me to track my progress and create realistic goals. 5. Motivation -I am not only surrounded by excellent trainers, but also by strong ladies. I have witness the transformation of many ladies. I know where they started at and where they are at now with their fitness! It helps to see committed ladies working out so hard and watching their progress -and that they notice mine too! At other gym that I used to go, I was intimidated by the trainer, or other users - not here! I look forwards to go! I have a gym ready bag with me all the time! That's not all; Uplift has incredible challenges with prizes! (Although, the ultimate best price ever is the results -and finally fit in those jeans). 6. The facilities are super clean, and the fitness room is "state of the art" with "on demand" classes to accommodate my schedule! There is a big screen with a projector and I can select the class that I want to do and the duration at my convenience! 7. Uplift is 24 hours! For a couple months during the winter, I worked all day ! But I was going to the gym super early or after hours and get me work out done! -hours of operations are never a problem. 8. I never have to wait for machines or equipment! Uplift has enough of everything! I have my working out buddy and we both do the same routines when we are together. Yes!! Get a friend to go work out with you!! This makes every " burn" look super fun!! I have been a client from Uplift for over 6 months and now my body ask to be taken to the gym! and I can only put 5 stars to recommend this gym here, but it truly deserves 10.

Jill and Chris are wonderful at guiding you in your fitness journey. It's women only and you get…read morethe benefit of having workout plans that are geared towards you. It's a smaller gym, but the guidance is helpful in getting on track. There are classes such as yoga, tabata, and others to help you along. The downside is there are no showers (there is a locker room though), the machines could be updated, and the parking sometimes is annoying. But I prefer this gym over places like the Y because of the supportive atmosphere and no little kids playing on gym equipment. It's truly geared towards women which is nice.

Where do I begin with this place? When I first joined, I thought it was great. For $20 I liked…read morethat they had all the amenities I needed plus the cardio theater which was a nice addition. I have a hiking club and I kayak so basically from May through September, I just don't go to the gym. I would rather be outside. So although I continue to pay my monthly dues, I just don't go. Well I recently went back to the gym after my summer hiatus and was shocked to see the whole place in disarray. They had removed the cardio theater completely and moved all of the "salespeople/trainers" from the front of the gym into one of their workout studios (temporarily I hear). They are going through a huge facelift which includes new rooms and cleaned up and repaired facilities. But it's a painful thing that they should have done over the summer before the weather change! NOW they just informed us that starting the end of october and going for 5 weeks, there will be no pool or lockerroom facilities while they revamp all of that. There will be temporary changing room and portable bathrooms available. Again, why are they doing that right when attendance will start ramping up? They also raised rates for anyone starting after september. Hopefully the new rates and the inconvenience will be justified. Oh, and the cardio theater was replaced with a new circuit training room but that IS NOT included as part of regular membership. You have to pay for that training in addition to membership. I hope this gym doesn't become a nickel and dime you type of deal where they talk about being a deal but after all of the add-ons, it really isn't a deal. I guess we can go to the inver grove location while they are doing the renovation so if you can avoid it, skip the woodbury location for the next 6 weeks.

Overpriced for what's offered. Went from paying $29.90…read morebiweekly to $35 biweekly. For what the gym offers it is not worth $70 a month. I have been to gyms that cost half the price and have a more clean and well maintained facility.

I have got to say that this gym is legit in absolutely any way. When I entered this place, it…read moreabsolutely changed my perspectives about gym. Let me tell you that they have it's own steam rooms on every locker room. I would also have to say that I had such a good experience. There is literally nothing wrong with this place. I absolutely enjoyed a steam room. It was so clean and nice in there. The temperature was perfectly hot. I absolutely sure that the price for this place monthly is worth of what its have to offer. Outside is also clean. Believe me or not, after 8 pm you can park a semi truck on a parking lot. And relax there in a steam room. I absolutely enjoyed my experience here. I'm highly suggesting that you visit and check it out.

However, the moment meaningful competition arrives, I believe many members will leave. When was the last time you made a meaningful investment in the facility to alleviate overcrowding or add new features and amenities? Instead, members are paying higher prices for a more crowded gym, fewer hours, and, in my experience, declining customer service. I also had an unpleasant experience with the reception staff yesterday. My daughter forgot her membership card, and the receptionist was unnecessarily rude about her "not getting in next time without her card." I explained that people forget things sometimes and that the system should have her photo on file, but she seemed uninterested in having that conversation. It feels as though Life Time has become entitled because of its current lack of competition--higher prices, more crowded facilities, reduced hours, and increasingly unfriendly service. That seems like the opposite of good business sense.
