I love this location!!! I recommend the Yoga Sculpt class. Every instructor has been wonderful. They have a variety of classes at a various times 7 days a week. They provide some heated class, which I love! There are different payment options including walk-ins, memberships, and class packs. I like the 10 pack that takes a full year to expire. I like the 10 pack, because there are months where I want to go more than I typically do and months where I don't due to things like holidays and vacations. I've tried a lot of yoga studios around the country and Studio One is my favorite by far. The staff are friendly and warm. The community is so kind and welcoming. The teachers are top notch. Every class I have taken the instructor has provided clear cues that are easy to follow. And the fact that the studio is in beautiful downtown Stillwater where you walk out and are greeted by a peaceful vista of the St. Croix River is just icing on the cake. read more

I had a last minute group request that Sarah was able to setup for me. I called maybe Tuesday and we were able to get the class set up for Saturday. We had a minor hiccup along the way, where my class was cancelled on Friday night because I called and left a message and it was not received. Aside from the minor hiccup, we were able to go in Saturday, our instructor Liz was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Most of us in the class were beginners and took her time explaining every pose and the significant of it. She was patient and asked us about what we wanted to do. It was a well spent Saturday morning, next time I hope to turn up the heat! read more

Great studio. Very welcoming to rookie/new students. Kim is a great teacher. Power Sculpt is fine for beginners if you're in somewhat decent shape, and I like that it's only 45 minutes. I was going to studio one in Roseville and enjoyed the studio. I had used up my sessions and I paid $100 towards 10 more classes. Then I got sick, Lyme disease it took months to even get back from that before I had to have reconstructive knee surgery. So I was out of contact for a year until I got back to where I thought I could do yoga again. I contacted them and was told I was out since It was a year and I guess I only had a year. I never got work since I paid cash. Then was told I could have 90 days to get in 10 sessions. I didnt get to one since the only class I thought I could handle was gentle flow only available in Stillwater a long drive. Since I work full time I could never used any of it. My point is what difference does it make if there is one more person in a class. So really no money out of thier pocket. I asked for nothing special. Studio One has enriched my life more than I would have ever expected. For the last 3 years I have felt the support, comfort, acceptance and motivation from Sarah and Dar and the entire Studio One community. This is more than "just a place to work out", it is an integral part of the larger community. From supporting local, small, start-up businesses to offering free yoga in the park, Studio One has embraced the true meaning of yoga and brought it into so many lives. Even on the worst of days, I know the studio is there and anything from a Hot butt kicking class to a relaxing candlelight will be just the thing to help make the day better. Studio One offers a wide variety of classes at a wide variety of times. There are both hot and non-heated classes, and there are many different instructors---each one excellent and so very kind. It's a welcoming environment without a trace of judgment or competitive spirit. When I first walked in the door, I'd been out of shape and out of yoga practice for nearly a decade. I was welcomed and embraced and encouraged. I started with a Gentle Yoga class that anyone could do. I've ventured into the hot classes---it's not my thing, but it's worth noting that it's not the high-pressure Bikram style---I had to walk out of one class and nobody yelled at me. The instructor even stepped out and gave me water. So kind! The entire place is cleverly designed, too, making it a very fun and inspiring environment. The classes are amazingly affordable, and there are several package options. Plus, when you finish class, there's the glorious Mama Luna Apothecary two doors down, where you can rewards yourself with a perfectly pulled cafe latte' or homemade chai. Before Studio One, I've tried Yoga and it never clicked. After using their 3-pack intro, I was hooked. The studio setting is relaxed and functional. I've taken a variety of classes with a variety of instructors. I appreciate that I can attend any class and get exceptional instruction and warmth. Never have to worry about who the teacher will be, they are all good and bring their own unique teaching style. The best part of the Studio One experience is each class I learn something more about the benefits of yoga. The continuous reminder helps me stay motivated. I'm hooked now! Thank you! read more

Nope. Not really yoga. The energy is super commercial and for "looks." More like a gym with a yogic twist. Beginners and inexperienced yogis may not know the difference. People could easily get hurt in a place like this. read more
