Overall I really liked the hotel. Parking was super convenient, location was fantastic, all the amenities you could hope for, and as a cigar smoker it was conveniently located next to a cigar lounge! All you could want and more.. except a more comfortable bed. To be clear, I rarely find a hotel bed comfortable, I am always some level of sore the next day after a bad night's sleep, but unfortunately this is night 5 on this road trip, and the 5th hotel bed I've slept in and it is by far the worst for me. If you prefer a medium or softer bed you may be disappointed. If that isn't what you prefer then you'll love your stay here! read more

You can download the Marriott app for quicker check in. I didn't do that so when I pulled up to the hotel garage, it has a barricade to get in. If you already have a room key, you can just swipe that to get the barricade to lift. I pressed the call button and the receptionist answered quickly and lifted the barricade so I could get in. Going through the sliding glass doors into the first floor lobby area there is a second set of sliding glass doors that requires the room key or you must push the call button. The receptionist again opened up the doors for me immediately. From there, you will go to the second floor, where the receptionist desk is to check in. Hotel staff is very friendly and offer recommendations if you ask. Complementary breakfast available. Eggs, sausage and/or bacon, waffles, English muffins, scones etc. My room was clean, had body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. My room did not get completely dark, because my room backed up to the parking lot and restaurants behind the hotel, where there were some light poles. Though the curtains are blackout, the light still seeped in from the top of the curtains. I was still able to get sleep. I just would have preferred a darker room. My stay included Friday, the first Friday of the month is the art walk. There was some loud music playing, but it was not too bad and they did not go past 10 PM. Hotel is very convenient to restaurants, BOK, museums, etc. because the hotel is in Downtown, you can expect to see a few homeless people wandering around. You may get asked for money if you were out walking about. I was asked twice as I walked across the street to Sisserou's. During my stay, I also noticed the same homeless person hanging around in the garage. My stay was good. I would recommend the hotel. read more

Highly recommend this hotel stay not far from the hospital. From the very start Tiffany was very accommodating with our emergency situation that brought us to Tulsa. I was on a business trip and had a chance to stay at Fairfield Tulsa Downtown for 3 nights and the place really exceeded my expectations! The location is wonderful! You are just within a few blocks from great cafes, bars restaurants, downtown/greenwood, so you can venture out and do your thing pretty easily! What was more wonderful was the staff! From check in staff at the lobby, cleaning staff and shuttle drivers, they were so nice and really tried to make your stay very pleasant! The room/place also were clean. What I also love about this place is they offer free breakfast and free shuttles to/from TUL airport! While the breakfast wasn't 100% glam, the spread was still very decent. You can also get a shuttle to pick you up from the airport once you got your bag from luggage claim and/or from hotel to TUL (limited..but decent hours though..not 24/7) The only minus though..was..I happened to stay overnight on towards a weekend..and, boy, I was glad it was my last night there...because the music from outside opposite the hotel was blasting so loud until 11pm at night. Good thing I wasn't planning on waking up early the next day...otherwise, I would definitely be mad with what was happening outside! read more

In the Arts District, so it's close to lots of bars and restaurants. Walking distance to the minor league ball field and several museums. The room was clean and as far as hotels go, we had a very quiet night. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows were a little flat and squishy for my personal preference. I would have liked for the front desk person to be more knowledgeable about the area. I was asking for shops and galleries in the area and had hoped for a walking map. The lady checking out in front of me, had more specifics to share than the staff member, so maybe hotel management could work on something for future guests. Plenty of street parking was available if you wanted to skip the $15 parking garage fee. All in all, we would stay here again. read more

Ok so my only complaint is the parking fee... but you can park anywhere on the weekend for free so... ehh... But this cute little hotel is great and the staff is really kind and courteous too. The beds were great! Just the right amount of stuff after walking around downtown hitting the night life. They do have a pool on the ground floor that I wish we stopped by and hung out at but we forgot the swim suits. The room size is great too. Small space to sit and watch tv and good desk space to spread out. Don't worry about places to plug in they have a ton of plug spots and USB ports! And come on 2 tv's in one room! Great for the kid having to watch what he wants while you watch what you want! read more

I was in town for a couple of nights recently as a home base to visit Pawhuska and the Pioneer Woman. This hotel is located in the arts district. Seemed to be lots of restaurants and few cute shops. Also, a nice park nearby had music on a Sunday afternoon. They do have their own parking lot which is good. You do need your key to access the parking lot and the elevator. The lobby is on the 2nd floor. But they have a phone to call when you are first checking in. My room was on the 2nd floor just down from the lobby. My room appeared to be above some sort of event venue which was quite loud the first night I was there. It was good I always travel with ear plugs. They have a great free breakfast with quite a few options. Staff was friendly. Overall a good stay. read more

We had a very pleasant experience staying here for four days. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. The breakfast was very nice. There is good parking options for downtown, which often is a challenge. My one suggestion is that it would be nice to add a pot of oatmeal in the morning. While the packets are nice, oatmeal is affordable and having a regular oatmeal option for health-conscious guests would be nice. read more

Ok, so we have stayed in this hotel for the past 3 years during the Annual Cheer Competition. I originally gave the hotel 4 stars and was considering raising it to 5 if this stay went well... but that is not the case. Last year we stayed on the second floor (Lobby). Our room was located just above the PRHYME Steakhouse... i recall that it was a little noisy but really nothing to complain about. WELL This year we basically got the same room on the second floor.... yea... evidently they had a band last night and it was under MY BED which played until the wee hours of the morning!!! yea... These rooms located above restaurants should be allocated for the hotels Laundry/gym/breakfast area/ kitchen etc ya get my point... The staff is VERY pleasant and helpful and the hotel itself is excellent. I just leave this information for any future guest. DO NOT take a room located on the second floor that is above one of the restaurants... ask for a higher floor. read more

The rooms are very clean and we always enjoy a super cold Air Conditioner, and it did not disappoint. Cozy bed and decent wifi, though it sort of stopped working around 8pm two of the three nights. The indoor pool is clean, but was hard to enjoy as it is sort of hard to breathe in there. Not a "cool"experience- feels more like a steam room. Breakfast is typical for a hotel- clean and well stocked. Nothing too special. It was the same every day, and nothing is available to add to those eggs, which was somewhat disappointing. Cheese, please! ;) My only complaint is that the coffee is dreadful. I mean like really UN- drinkable. The first morning it was bearable with loads of creamer. However, day two I could not even choke it down. If this happens to you, Chimera is nearby for a latte to-go. (Cappuccinos are dine-in only) We felt safe here and it's a perfect location. read more

I was on business travel and stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Tulsa Downtown for the first time. The staff is very friendly, checking in and out was very easy, the breakfast was decent and the location is convenient. Nevertheless, I am rating it a 2 out of 5 due to the fact that my room had bedbugs in which I now have several bites to prove it. I did feel itching on my arms/wrists the 2nd day I was there but I didn't pay much attention. Unfortunately it wasn't until my last evening there, that I found a bug (and flushed it down the toilet) but didn't know what type of bug it was until I googled it when I returned home. The next morning, I pulled the sheets to take a look at the mattress and noticed that it was covered by a mattress cover so I wasn't able to inspect it the mattress properly. I did report it and was told that someone will get back to me and honestly trust that they will (again, the staff were very friendly and professional). I won't be staying there anymore and will warn my colleagues who always stay at this location when on business travel. read more

I stayed here in August when I came up to help with a Yelp party. I found easy parking out front suitable for checking in, and check in was easy and smooth. I was still nursing and pumping, and it was so convenient that all the rooms come with a mini-fridge and a microwave. The room was small but had everything I needed, and most importantly, the bed was wonderful! Nice shower and bathroom, and my room was surprisingly quiet... I've found this is not the case with many new hotels, but I just thought it was great. I also loved the very convenient, safe parking right in the middle of Tulsa, and for a woman, a lot also feels so much safer than a a parking garage. And of course, the real draw of this hotel is an unbeatable location. I love the Mayo for its creature comforts and history, but if you have free time to be out and about on the town, and definitely if you're staying in town for a show at the Cain's, you absolutely cannot beat this location! read more

I have traveled the world and stayed in many different hotels along the way. I tend to gravitate to boutique hotels when I can because of the personal experience and the prime locations many of the finer boutique establishments offer. However, when this is not an option Marriott is my first choice (or any of their sub-chains). I have staid at the Tulsa Fairfield Inn and Suites several times as have family members coming to visit me here in Tulsa and everyone has been very happy with their experience here. The hotel is clean, the rooms are well appointed, the location is fantastic for nightlife, getting to and from The Univ of Tulsa and the price is right. The only issue we have had here and the only thing from preventing me from giving them that 5th star is the parking situation. While there is generally parking for all guests it can overflow leaving it up to you to find street parking in the area - which can be difficult. Especially on the weekends. Other than the potential for parking trouble - this place is great and is where I will stay when I'm in Tulsa and no longer a resident at the University... read more

Route 66 Marathon - The perfect race accomodations. Recently spent 3x days in Tulsa to see family and participate in the 2013 Route 66 Marathon. With the revised race routes (both half and full) the race ends literally ONE BLOCK from the hotel!!! Perfect location for the finish (esp this year when the temps were in the low 20s at the finish line - - it was great having a hotel that close to start the "body-recovery-and-warm-up process). Additionally, the hotel is in the heart of the Brady Arts District - which is a hip revitalized area of Tulsa (plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel). ROOMS: Brand new. Was in RM 435 (1 KING/SOFA BED) and it was plenty roomy for the entire family. Bed was extremely comfortable and there was enough room in the living room area for the blow-up mattress we brought. The refrigerator is marginal (there is no thermostat - so, I wanted cold (cold, cold) beverages and that wasn't going to happen in that tiny refer) but there was sufficent room to make-do. Small microwave - again, do-able. Bathroom was ample in size and water flow was sufficent. HVAC was perfect. Huge windows in our room and had a great view. Really liked having -2- TVs in the room (esp. with all my kids in tow). POOL: Hi-lariously small (smalllll). More than 2 people and it's packed. ELEVATORS: Slowwwwwwwwwww. You will definately get aquainted with everyone riding the elevator with you - because it will take 4-ever to traverse the floors (and, yes, it's only a 4 story hotel.....which makes it even funnier). BREAKFAST: Typical Fairfield menu - nothing spectacular but sufficent. Upon check-in I requested that something be set out for the racers on Sunday at 6am (normally breakfast doesn't start until 7am on Sunday) and the property was kind enough to set out some fruit, juice and oatmeal at 6am on race day. SURROUNDING AREA: There is a 5-star steakhouse called Phyrme on the corner of the building (not associated with the hotel) - which is a formal, expensive steakhouse....but, one of the best in Tulsa. There is no hotel restaraunt or bar---but, it doesn't need one. There are bars and places to eat within easy walking distance. PARKING: Parking is free and controlled by a gate (and your room key). If you visit the hotel on a weekend that has an event (like the marathon) the parking lot will fill up, fast, and run out of spots. BUT, there is ample free parking all around the hotel. STAFF: I stay at Marriott properties, everywhere - and the revamped customer service training program that I imagine that all staff are required to partake in is worth it (I encounter the same high level of customer service at all the Fairfield Inns that I visit). Everyone from the check-in staff to the housekeeping staff were very accomodating, polite and engaging. Especially Maria from the 4th floor rooms (thank you for your support with extra towels, sheets, blankets, trash bags, etc). If you are participating in the Route 66 Marathon weekend - this is the hotel for you (forget those other hotels that are farther from the finish line) - - this is the race hotel to stay at. Came back to my room at 1030 at night and there was no parking. Calling the front desk led to the response of "park on the street or wherever you can find." I was terrified to walk downtown at that hour as a female alone all the way back to the hotel. This isn't a matter of convenience. I didnt feel safe. read more

Requested a room on the opposite side of the hotel from our previous stay - it was actually worse. The A/C unit (or similar looking piece of equipment) for the building was unbelievably loud and actually shook our room each time it came on which - like clockwork - was every 15 minutes. I called the front desk four times during the night to no avail. Zero sleep to be had, no customer service follow up in the days following, despite requests. The secured parking lot was also full and we were forced to park across the street. Horrible experience and we will never return. read more

This is a great find in the Brady District area near downtown Tulsa. It recently opened last year and is a nice option for those wanting to stay away from the suburbs. The lobby is actually on the second floor and has contemporary boutique decor. I stayed in a suite which had a small living area and adjoining bedroom. It was comfortable and the bed was good. Great lighting throughout for business travelers. I was equally impressed with the price. Definitely a good value. read more

Love this place! Love the location, free breakfast and free parking! Clean rooms and nice fitness room as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly parking lot attendant. He was super helpful. There are several great restaurant options in each direction and it's a block away from the Center of the Universe landmark. Only thing I didn't like was that I could hear my neighbors when they got home late that night. One of the downsides of hotel stays I suppose. I'd definitely stay there again. read more

What a nice hotel! Clean, safe, with a friendly, helpful, hard-working staff. Breakfast is free and includes many choices of protein, fresh fruit, bagels, cake, waffles, hot oatmeal. Front desk folks are helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping is thorough but they'll leave you alone if that's your desire. Comfortable room with mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker. Especially outgoing, caring staff includes Tyler, Stephanie, Ginnie, Patrick and John! I have stayed here on business frequently and the excellent service always makes me feel welcome and appreciated. It's right next to the Woody Guthrie Museum and a block from Brady Theatre, 2 blocks from Cain's Ballroom, Jazz Depot, Oneok stadium, 3 blocks from BOK and Performing Arts Center. read more

I stayed here recently while visiting a friend. The hotel is located in a really cute area of Tulsa's downtown with an easy walk to the Brady and BOK Center. Surrounding the hotel are lots of good food options both upscale (steak house) and more casual (Coney Islander). There is a fabulous breakfast and coffee place a block from the hotel (Chimera), but the hotel's complimentary breakfast does the trick as well. There is a pleasant and large eating area with a TV (that's muted) and lots of Windows. The overall effect is quite, bright, and pleasant. The breakfast itself is a good assortment of cereals and yogurt, some hot items (waffle station, eggs and bacon) and pastries (toast, bagels, and English muffins) as well as coffee and tea. The rooms are very clean and well appointed with towels and soap. The beds were comfy and while there were plenty of pillows they were a little too flimsy for my liking. The A/C worked very well (always important in Tulsa) and the water pressure was spot on. The staff in particular were very friendly and accommodating. There is on-site self parking and a pool and gym (didn't use either of those). I found the price for the rooms to be a good value given the location and amenities. If you are here on business or visiting friends, this is a good location to all things downtown and close to the highway if your day takes you further afield. Highly recommend. read more

Good place, clean, easy to park at, decent simple breakfast and nice area to work in the lobby and meet people, on the second floor of the building so feels very safe for a single woman to stay there. My room was large, bed nice and I had a walk in shower which was nice with a bench since I use a cane to get around. read more

This hotel is in a great location, clean, and the staff are friendly. My only complaint is housekeeping pounding on your door at 9:00 am then again at 10:00 am. I have kids at home and this one day get away is supposed to be quiet and peaceful. Lol The walls also must be made of paper because you can hear every little thing going on outside your door and all the way down the hall. The maids are extremely loud talking to each other, dumping trash, slamming doors. I highly recommend ear plugs if you want a little quiet time to relax. read more

I was looking for a place that was near the interstate on a trip through Tulsa and picked out the Fairfield. What a choice. The location is great for access to restaurants and what appears to be a lot of entertainment.
