I was on a business trip and had a chance to stay at Fairfield Tulsa Downtown for 3 nights and the place really exceeded my expectations! The location is wonderful! You are just within a few blocks from great cafes, bars restaurants, downtown/greenwood, so you can venture out and do your thing pretty easily! What was more wonderful was the staff! From check in staff at the lobby, cleaning staff and shuttle drivers, they were so nice and really tried to make your stay very pleasant! The room/place also were clean. What I also love about this place is they offer free breakfast and free shuttles to/from TUL airport! While the breakfast wasn't 100% glam, the spread was still very decent. You can also get a shuttle to pick you up from the airport once you got your bag from luggage claim and/or from hotel to TUL (limited..but decent hours though..not 24/7) The only minus though..was..I happened to stay overnight on towards a weekend..and, boy, I was glad it was my last night there...because the music from outside opposite the hotel was blasting so loud until 11pm at night. Good thing I wasn't planning on waking up early the next day...otherwise, I would definitely be mad with what was happening outside!

The rooms are clean & comfortable. The hotel has great amenities: Netflix, Showtime, Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash in the room, WiFi, a great lounge, a snack bar with items for purchase & continental breakfast! Location is great, restaurants and shops close by, walking distance. ... and AMAZING customer service. Alex, the cute girl at the front counter, was SO sweet & helpful. She was welcoming, provided great customer service and engaged with us. She really made our stay GREAT!

NO PARKING. What's the point of a downtown hotel with no parking? Stay somewhere cheaper or just drive back to OKC, you're still going to have to venue park. Have fun dragging your luggage from whatever downtown parking you're able to find. LOL. Ridiculous.

Have kids? The couch bed was a fabulous set up for these boys!

Stayed here a few times. Nothing super fancy but the rooms are very clean and you can't beat the location. You can walk to tons of stuff.

This one, though, missed the mark in a few spots. But first, the good... I'll start with the front desk staff, who were always friendly and greeted me upon each arrival and departure. They even mailed some postcards for me, which was really nice. The hotel is also really conveniently located. It was a short drive to almost everywhere I needed to be. In fact, if the weather hadn't been so chilly I could even have easily walked to most downtown places I visited. Now for the "meh"... My room, located on the 7th floor, had a lovely view. Other than that, it was run down and could have used a refresh. Also, housekeeping never showed up after my first night, even though I was gone most of the day. Not really sure what happened there. They did clean it the next day, though. But back to my room: from a lampshade that looked like it had been sat on to strange brown stains on the wall that had me thinking a lot about those true crime podcasts I used to listen to, not to mention the exposed wires in the wall thermostat, it gave 1-star dive hotel in many ways. The walls were pretty thin, too, and I could smell/hear the folks in the room next to me. Luckily, they put away the joints and the music pretty early in the evening, but it still detracted from the overall experience. Parking was also really weird here. The desk clerk had advised I park at the garage next store, which I did on the first night. Folks, this place was CREEPY with a capital CREEP. I especially advise against parking there if you're a solo female. And while my car was ultimately fine, navigating the enclosed stairwell and abandoned office building lobby with no visible exits just to get out of the place was not my vibe. After night one, I just used the outdoor lot next to the hotel. It was only slightly safer feeling, as it was occupied by some semi-shady characters, but at least there were various options to exit without feeling like I was trapped in an amusement park funhouse. On my last trip to Tulsa, I stayed at the nearby Tulsa Club hotel (also a Hilton property), and if/when I return I'll choose that spot again rather than the Hampton.

One other note, the Mayo has an extensive history & a number of Movies/TV shows were filmed inside including Sylvester Stallones "Tulsa Kings" Next time passing through Tulsa we will absolutely stay at the Mayo again.

I asked to switch rooms, and while the front desk initially said there were rooms available, they later said they couldn't help and that the hotel was full. The way this was communicated felt dismissive and unfriendly. There were also maintenance issues: the safety deposit box was broken, the shower splashed water everywhere due to a poorly designed shower head, and the lighting in the room was inadequate. I needed a desk to work and asked to switch rooms again, but was told no in a way that felt unwelcoming. Overall, not a great experience. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Upon arriving to our room, we noticed there were several sweet ants crawling on the night stand and on the floor to the entry of the bathroom. We went back to reception and they immediately changed our room. The room itself was very nice and comfortable. The pool was smaller, but nice. There was a sign up sheet for access to the pool and you had to request staff to let you into the pool area. They also never kept any towels in the pool so you had to walk to the makeshift lobby dripping wet to request a towel. The construction guys accidentally set off the fire alarm at 8am on Saturday. That's one way to wake up. The breakfast area has been moved in to the small gym space while renovating and there's hardly any room. In addition, they did not keep breakfast well stocked and the toaster broke so options were very slim.

A nice employee named Hayley (sp) was there during our stay and she was very helpful. We checked in earlier than we planned to due to arriving in Tulsa earlier than expected from OKC. She was apologetic about not having a cheese plate or fudge ready. I didn't even know these things existed with the room, so apology accepted! Haha. She took us on a tour of the inn and did a great job of both detailing the history/current status and the amenities we had access to. Not too much later, she brought us the aforementioned cheese and fudge. Score! She also took care to note food allergies since they serve breakfast. I have none but my boyfriend is allergic to the Earth, so that's nice. We stayed in the Sage while we were there (Thursday night and Friday night, so two different prices). It's the only room that's not directly inside of the inn, so that was neat. It almost felt like a little cabin! It's attached but the entrance to it is outside while the other rooms are inside. It's a nice simple room. The bed is comfortable but I wouldn't rave about it. The only small downside is that this room doesn't have its own thermostat because it shares one with the Willow, the room it's attached to. Hayley set it for us to a very cool temp since it was hot out. It kept the room very cold. But we were also out adventuring most of the time. If we weren't, then we would just burrow under the blankets in bed. So no big deal, but I'm sure there are more picky people out there. Every morning, breakfast is served in the dining room at 9am. It feels a little awkward almost since the inn is so small and the breakfast is guests only. They're cooking just for you! The first morning, it was only us there. There was fruit, pancakes, and a plate of bacon/sausage/eggs. It was good stuff. Oddly good bacon. Second morning there was fruit, waffles, and breakfast potatoes/fritatas/bacon. The second was definitely the best. My boyfriend hates eggs; they did something to his family, I think. So they double downed on his bacon. Lucky dog. But the fritatas were great, so his loss. Random notes: - The TVs have a lot of channels but the TVs are tiny; maybe that's a hint to spend time with your travel partner. - ^ Speaking of which, the second floor has a drawer of toiletries that includes toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner/soap, deodorant, and *ahem* condoms ~an assortment~. Some other stuff, too. - The gated exit you use during the day is closed at some point in the evening. You'll drive out the entrance and return through the entrance using the code on your room key during later outings.
