This was my first time in Tulsa and the staff left a great impression, since everyone I interacted with was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered chocolate cake at the bar and was surprised by the size of the huge piece they gave me! The room was great, and had a great view. I'd love to come stay here again.

Two stars off for poor protocols for Covid. As a courtesy to guests, staff should wear masks-particularly the van driver, since it's impossible to distance in a small van. Hotel itself is standard for what you'd expect at the Hyatt.

The interior design and general ambiance reflect a clear attention to detail, and it's evident that the hotel aims to provide a boutique experience. However, my experience was affected by noise issues during the night. Despite requesting a quiet room away from high-traffic areas when booking two weeks in advance, I was assigned a room directly across from the elevator. Unfortunately, the noise from guests talking and laughing in the hallway made it difficult to rest. When I brought this to the attention of the staff the following day, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and that no alternative accommodations could be provided. While I appreciated the overall comfort and aesthetic of the property, I was disappointed by the lack of responsiveness to my room request and the limited effort to address the noise concern. With improved attention to guest preferences and noise management, Brut Hotel has the potential to offer a truly exceptional stay.

This one, though, missed the mark in a few spots. But first, the good... I'll start with the front desk staff, who were always friendly and greeted me upon each arrival and departure. They even mailed some postcards for me, which was really nice. The hotel is also really conveniently located. It was a short drive to almost everywhere I needed to be. In fact, if the weather hadn't been so chilly I could even have easily walked to most downtown places I visited. Now for the "meh"... My room, located on the 7th floor, had a lovely view. Other than that, it was run down and could have used a refresh. Also, housekeeping never showed up after my first night, even though I was gone most of the day. Not really sure what happened there. They did clean it the next day, though. But back to my room: from a lampshade that looked like it had been sat on to strange brown stains on the wall that had me thinking a lot about those true crime podcasts I used to listen to, not to mention the exposed wires in the wall thermostat, it gave 1-star dive hotel in many ways. The walls were pretty thin, too, and I could smell/hear the folks in the room next to me. Luckily, they put away the joints and the music pretty early in the evening, but it still detracted from the overall experience. Parking was also really weird here. The desk clerk had advised I park at the garage next store, which I did on the first night. Folks, this place was CREEPY with a capital CREEP. I especially advise against parking there if you're a solo female. And while my car was ultimately fine, navigating the enclosed stairwell and abandoned office building lobby with no visible exits just to get out of the place was not my vibe. After night one, I just used the outdoor lot next to the hotel. It was only slightly safer feeling, as it was occupied by some semi-shady characters, but at least there were various options to exit without feeling like I was trapped in an amusement park funhouse. On my last trip to Tulsa, I stayed at the nearby Tulsa Club hotel (also a Hilton property), and if/when I return I'll choose that spot again rather than the Hampton.

And I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel, and the overall quality of the experience. The hotel is located in the arts District and conveniently situated within blocks of multiple restaurants bars and cultural institutions. This is not an extremely large hotel. I believe it's only four floors with only two of the floors for hotel guest. That being said. I was really happy with my room, especially the fact that I have both a microwave and a refrigerator in the room. In addition, the room was pretty well appointed with a sizable desk and a small couch and coffee table that offered work options on either. Customer Service is pretty good and they do include breakfast at this location so this is definitely a place I will keep at the top of my list when returning to Tulsa.

The bar was open but any food ordered came from room service menu. From previous pictures in other reviews we felt it looked unappetizing. In an upscale hotel like The Mayo, there should always be plate service at a table. The bar area was beautiful. The bartender was professional and polite. But the offering was disappointing. We opted to eat elsewhere. Now on to the room. It was clean and very well appointed with fridge and comfy robes. The shower head, however, was placed about 7' up. I am 5' 3". I could barely reach it to adjust it and the water pressure was awful. It had spa jets also which would have been great if they worked but...not for me as they were lined up to shoot right below my chin. So..great for tall people. Not so much for vertically challenged people like myself. All in all we enjoyed our night but I do not feel it warranted more than 3 stars. It was just ok.

The rooms are a nice size and fairly clean (we were introduced to a few large brown crickets during our stay.) ; the shower tub area is very small. The fixture in the tub should probably be replaced as it's hard to regulate the correct water temperature. The tub around the drain is starting to rust. We used the free shuttle a number of times and the drivers are friendly and pick you up on time. That's what most themed hotels, there are no freebies, such as Continental, breakfast coffee, etc. This hotel has a restaurant bar and also a coffee shop where there is free water! If you're in to swimming, you might want to stay at this hotel just for the pool. It's large, crystal clean and includes a hot tub. The hotel is located in a quiet area, which appears to be on the edge of downtown.
