Generally a good place, they have a breakfast buffet included in the price. I mean it's not a brunch at the Ritz (I'd think about it more like breakfast at Fitchburg state dining halls) but it saves you from having to dish out money for breakfast and it's right there in the lobby. There is a weird "destination fee" (just include it in the price) that allows you to do a load of laundry during your stay, get beach towels and CHAIRS (that's a plus) and a 25 dollar food and beverage discount at the bar/restaurant daily, it's kind of like having kohl's cash, you probably wouldn't go there but OK.
First a couple negatives, I"m not sure why every hotel in PR charges for parking, valet ok I get it, but there's a parking lot out there, why am I paying more. The restaurant is also suspect and really an over priced low grade sports bar without the TVs and frequently missing menu items, they had like these 7 inch pizzettas for 14 bucks a piece but were out of the regular 16 in 22 dollar pizza for some reason. The service was nice and I had a few at the bar which is really just probably you and another couple or something.
The good part are it is really like less that a 10 walk to the kioskos, and probably a seven minute walk to luquillo beach (montserrate) and probably a 15 minute drive or so to El Yunque. The pool is clean but pretty shallow and it is generally a new building so it isn't in disrepair yet like a lot of places down here. It's really a corporate experience, I mean you could imagine a plumbing sales conference here, but it's ok in that way. It's really a better bar/restaurant from being a 5 here, but why would they do that with the kioskos so close? And the parking charge is just annoying. read more
