Front desk forgot to rip the stub to claim baggage
    Sarah T.

I wanted to love the place because the initial interaction with the front desk was so pleasant but too many things were not right for me to overlook. Rooms single bed (2 separate rooms): The rooms were pretty small and felt dorm like. One of my rooms were wet/mildew smelling and the people around it were loud (unfortunate but uncontrollable). My other room was dirty and had what looked like potential mold? The blanket was dirty and there was hair all over the towels. I was warned about construction noise but what actually was loud was the AC unit in both rooms. Service: Initial encounter he was friendly and helpful. Check in time was 4pm and he suggested to relax at the beach and offered to hold our luggage. I later found out they give towels out at the front desk so it was weird he didn't offer considering he knew we were going to the beach. Next we checked multiple bags but only was given one tag which is fine except when I came to claim it he went back and forth with us saying he gave us multiple (which he needed to grab our stuff). And lastly after this long drawn out process, my keycard was not working so I had to come back down and get that fixed. If it was 1-2 things I get it accidents happen but it just felt problem after problem.

Amazing drinks and wonderful food! The manager Stephanie and the bartender Stephanie took amazing care of us and the drinks are top notch. Will go back time again and again.

    Food here is absolutely amazing!

I really do want to five -star this place! Location and vibe are incredible at a fairly reasonable price. Service is on point, the vibe makes its Wicked Lily hotel bar one of the best spots in Condado Beach! You are guaranteed to meet people here, no matter how introverted! But the rooms... modern and clean, for certain! But very small. Just enough room to walk around the bed and to the bathroom. And some of the design flaws are borderline code violations. I only sleep in my room... but if you are a lounger-in-the-room type, this place won't be for you. All that being said, I'm happy to return soon!

This place is for young party people and I am neither of those anymore. The rooms are the bare minimum (which I don't mind), and the bar has loud party music going until 8pm on Fri - Sun, which makes a post beach nap challenging. However, it was vibrant, fun, queer loving, and right on the beach. The staff were attentive and friendly. We were well taken care of. Stay here if you want an inclusive island beach party vibe.

Great spot on the beach, great views! I liked the atmosphere and dj was playing very good music! Food is good, bigger issue was very slow service. We waited for our food for a while, had to ask about it twice, also had to ask for a water refills. But restaurant is on the beach so that's very convenient! It was Saturday so we were able to order from brunch menu only, not a lot to pick from! I had steak and eggs - it was cooked med rare as I requested, eggs scrambled! My husband had banana pancakes they were a bit burnt so tasted bitter! Burger and fries were good, patty cooked nice with pink in the middle! I would go back only bc it's convenient and so close to beach but probably not during brunch bc of limited menu!

Great spot to come and have a few drinks while looking out at the ocean. Good music surrounds you as sit back and chill out. I initially came here to order a few of drinks but ended up ordering the Caesar salad and wings as well. Both were okay. Ceasar salad didn't taste like your traditional Caesar. The wings were very spicy. The view and vibe is why you want to come here. One last thing. They close pretty early. We were the last ones there at about 10 PM.

Absolutely wild! This place has an electric vibe that's hard to match. We visited on a Sunday and were lucky to catch the drag show from 12:30 to 2:00--an experience you truly have to see to believe! For food, we ordered the Pumpkin Gnocchi and Eggs Benedict. The Pumpkin Gnocchi was delicious, but the Eggs Benedict fell a bit short. Despite that, we had an amazing time overall and would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Great beachfront spot with beautiful ambiance. Came for dinner around 7pm and service was quick. We had a reservation. The food was ok- ordered the fettuccini carbonara and it was dry like it had been sitting out for a bit. Others in our group ordered the chicken breast entree and the burger and enjoyed it. Drinks were ok as well. Overall it's a good experience but expensive.

I've already decided that if I get the chance to come back to San Juan, this is the hotel I'm coming to again. My 5 night stay here was incredible! First, the staff. Attentive, kind, the front desk staff were funny and helpful when we asked about things to do nearby that they recommend. I would get a text daily from the front desk/housekeeping asking if we need anything for our room. Only once did I use this for extra towels and blankets. We were gone from our room at this time but I got a reply saying they will take care of it immediately. Sure enough, we get back to our room soon after and have extra blankets and towels sitting nicely on our bed. I've never had such simple service at a hotel! The location is another huge plus for me. Condado is very nice and walkable. We walked almost everywhere as long as we were going to a restaurant/shop nearby the Tryst. The hotel is right on the beach and you can access it by walking through the restaurant (Wicked Lily). Beach chairs and umbrellas are included in your stay at the Tryst which is a nice touch. We felt very safe walking around our hotel and the surrounding area late at night. There is so much life to this part of San Juan. The rooms are small but good enough. We had 3 people so the room that sleeps that many is one with a queen size bed and futon. The futon was very comfortable as was the bed. We had ocean views too. The room wasn't as clean as it could have been when we arrived (sand all over the floor and some hairs in the bathroom) but we were able to look past it for all the other positives of our stay. We did not have a car but it looked like The Tryst offers valet. Unsure of the cost associated with this. Can't wait to be back!

They recommended so many amazing places to eat and shop, in and out of the property. The prices for food on the property were reasonable and there were a lot of different options for food choices. The big Concha restaurant on the property is absolutely gorgeous at night but it is a bit pricier than the other food options on the property. There are 4 pool ameneties you can choose from, with one being adults only. I loved that you have the different pool options. However, I wish the pools were bigger. I felt like it made more sense to have fewer pools but, bigger to fit more people but, we were comfortable in each. The beach is beautiful and every day there were plenty of surfers riding the high tide waves. It wasn't the best beach for swimming since the tide was so high and waves were really strong but, lifeguards are on the property to help those who have trouble getting in and out. We stayed close to shore to prevent any accidents and enjoyed watching surfers ride the waves each day.

The only logical explanation is that this policy makes the room prices appear to cost about $200 a night less than the real charges. Otherwise, why not just raise the advertised price by 20%? There is no doubt the property is in a gorgeous location, sitting directly on the ocean. The buildings are in good condition and the staff is courteous. But, I experienced several shortfalls compared to my expectations for this price point. The suites are provided a "butler," but the available hours are 10am to 6pm. The service would be more accurately described as a concierge. Bringing coffee in the morning is not on the list of duties, nor assisting with unpacking or packing or other typical butler activities. Sending out laundry the day before my departure, I asked to have it folded so it would be easier to pack. Everything came back on hangers. My room did not receive turn-down service and fresh towels during the third night of my stay. I asked to have a car booked to the airport from the hotel. The butler got it backwards and booked it from the airport to the hotel. Good thing that I took a close look at the confirmation and noticed the routing was backwards. The breakfast restaurant, Ola, is extremely crowded in the morning with a 30 to 60 minute wait being typical in my experience. The front of the property is in a skeevy neighborhood so walking somewhere else for breakfast isn't a realistic option. It's not bad, but also not a top tier. property.

We were greeted warmly and offered complimentary champagne, which gave us high expectations for our stay. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill after we entered our room. There were rose petals left under the fridge area, clearly indicating the room had not been properly cleaned. Even worse, there was a blood stain on the bed. The refrigerator was also making a loud, disruptive noise. We immediately brought both the blood stain and the fridge issue to the attention of the front desk. They apologized and offered to change the sheets and send maintenance to fix the fridge. We left for dinner assuming everything would be resolved by the time we returned. When we got back around 9 PM--after a long day of traveling--the room was still being worked on, which delayed our ability to rest. We were finally able to settle in around 9:30 PM. While the fridge noise stopped, it then began leaking afterward. To make matters worse, we paid an additional $50 per person for breakfast. The menu options were extremely limited, and the only available choice was the "classic breakfast." The scrambled eggs were undercooked and wet in the middle, the bacon was somehow both limp and overcooked, and the toast was burnt beyond enjoyment. It was incredibly disappointing, especially given the extra charge. I again expressed my concerns to the front desk, including the cleanliness issues and the breakfast experience. I was told someone would follow up with me the next day. They confirmed my phone number and email address--but I never received a call or email. No apology, no resolution, no attempt to make things right. For the price and four-star expectation, this stay fell far below acceptable standards in cleanliness, maintenance, food quality, and customer service follow-up. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and would not recommend staying here based on my experience.
