They recommended so many amazing places to eat and shop, in and out of the property. The prices for food on the property were reasonable and there were a lot of different options for food choices. The big Concha restaurant on the property is absolutely gorgeous at night but it is a bit pricier than the other food options on the property. There are 4 pool ameneties you can choose from, with one being adults only. I loved that you have the different pool options. However, I wish the pools were bigger. I felt like it made more sense to have fewer pools but, bigger to fit more people but, we were comfortable in each. The beach is beautiful and every day there were plenty of surfers riding the high tide waves. It wasn't the best beach for swimming since the tide was so high and waves were really strong but, lifeguards are on the property to help those who have trouble getting in and out. We stayed close to shore to prevent any accidents and enjoyed watching surfers ride the waves each day.

You are then greeted by a heavenly scent, their signature scent that's intoxicating. The front desk attendant was the absolute best, she helped us with our bags and even parked our car! The room was a real stand out, beautiful and spacious and meticulously clean. I never knew how much I wanted a countertop ice maker before I came here! It was such a nice amenity along with the huge fridge. Their breakfast was also amazing with some great coffee and pastries. I enjoyed having breakfast after I hit the gym, which had the nicest view of any gym I've been to. I would 100% come back here and recommend anyone to stay. Alicia at the front desk was amazing, muchas gracias!

My spouse and I recently stayed at Don Rafa Boutique Hotel & Residences in San Juan, Puerto Rico,…read moreand overall we had a very pleasant experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of charm, and the staff was attentive, courteous, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. The room was beautifully decorated and fit well with the historic character and boutique style of the property. It was definitely on the smaller side, which is understandable considering the age of the building and the intimate nature of boutique hotels. One thing I did miss, however, was additional functionality in the room. There was a small loveseat, but no coffee table or end tables to place drinks or personal items, which would have made the space more comfortable. The bathroom was also cute but extremely compact. It was designed somewhat like a wet room, but showering often resulted in water getting across the entire bathroom space because there wasn't proper drainage outside the shower area. The sink was very tiny as well -- I repeatedly bumped my head on the mirror while brushing my teeth or washing my face, and my spouse even hit his face on the faucet, so just something to be mindful of. I was a little disappointed with the rooftop terrace and pool area. The pool did not appear as clean as expected, and the rooftop ambiance felt somewhat unfinished or like an afterthought. The plants looked sparse, some landscaping needed attention, and the mismatched solar lights did not create the relaxing atmosphere we were hoping for. During our stay, portions of the rooftop appeared to be under repair, which may explain some of the issues. That said, the rooftop restaurant was absolutely outstanding. I had the filet mignon and my spouse ordered the sea bass -- both dishes were incredible and honestly some of the best meals we had during our trip. The restaurant itself also seemed to be undergoing minor remodeling, and I noticed unfinished details like putty on woodwork and missing grout between some tiles, but the food and drinks more than made up for it. I highly recommend trying the colada cocktail -- it was excellent. Another plus was the valet service. There was always a doorman available to retrieve our car, and at $25 per day, valet parking felt very reasonable for San Juan. The location was also convenient, with restaurants and a grocery store nearby, making it easy to grab snacks and beverages for the room. Overall, despite a few design and maintenance concerns, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a lot of character, the staff was wonderful, and the dining experience was exceptional. With a little more attention to the rooftop and some room functionality improvements, this place could truly be outstanding

The holiday atmosphere was festive, welcoming, and perfectly captured the spirit of Puerto Rico. A special thank you to Lemuel Gonzalez and the concierge and management staff for going above and beyond with recommendations, Jean and the reservations team, and making everything seamless from start to finish. The moon bar staff were fantastic--friendly, attentive, and always made sure we were comfortable and having a great time. The beach staff was equally amazing, creating a relaxing and effortless beach experience right outside the hotel. We also want to give a huge shoutout to the pool bar/DJ team for their incredible hospitality, great drinks, and vibrant energy--it became one of our favorite spots to unwind and celebrate with the classic salsa songs I grew up listening to. Brought back so many memories of my childhood. Because of the outstanding service and warm hospitality from the entire staff, our family celebration felt truly special, and we created memories we'll cherish forever. We can't wait to return and highly recommend the Condado Plaza Hotel to anyone visiting Puerto Rico, especially during the holidays.

We had a wonderful ocean view but everything else about the room was off. Only one elevator went to our floor and it wasn't the main set of elevators--it was at the opposite end of the hotel and the entirely opposite end of where our room was. The hallway carpet was in disrepair and smelled musty. The room had absolutely no overhead lights and no floor lamps. Only light to turn on when you entered, was the bathroom light. Air conditioner was leaking from above onto the floor but it appeared as though it was doing that for a long time because there were brown stains on the white tile. TV was old and in a strange spot. The room was very empty as well, like it was missing furniture (after looking online, it was definitely missing multiple pieces of furniture). Wallpaper was peeling. Furniture had been dinged up quite a bit. Overall, for the price, far from worth it. Decent location and right next to the beach but rooms are in need of repair and updates

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after spending over $600 for one night at this "four-star"…read morehotel, I feel obligated to share my experience. Upon arrival, everything seemed promising. We were greeted warmly and offered complimentary champagne, which gave us high expectations for our stay. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill after we entered our room. There were rose petals left under the fridge area, clearly indicating the room had not been properly cleaned. Even worse, there was a blood stain on the bed. The refrigerator was also making a loud, disruptive noise. We immediately brought both the blood stain and the fridge issue to the attention of the front desk. They apologized and offered to change the sheets and send maintenance to fix the fridge. We left for dinner assuming everything would be resolved by the time we returned. When we got back around 9 PM--after a long day of traveling--the room was still being worked on, which delayed our ability to rest. We were finally able to settle in around 9:30 PM. While the fridge noise stopped, it then began leaking afterward. To make matters worse, we paid an additional $50 per person for breakfast. The menu options were extremely limited, and the only available choice was the "classic breakfast." The scrambled eggs were undercooked and wet in the middle, the bacon was somehow both limp and overcooked, and the toast was burnt beyond enjoyment. It was incredibly disappointing, especially given the extra charge. I again expressed my concerns to the front desk, including the cleanliness issues and the breakfast experience. I was told someone would follow up with me the next day. They confirmed my phone number and email address--but I never received a call or email. No apology, no resolution, no attempt to make things right. For the price and four-star expectation, this stay fell far below acceptable standards in cleanliness, maintenance, food quality, and customer service follow-up. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

The food at the upstairs restaurant was exceptional, and offered some local cuisine. The downstairs restaurant had private parties every day and night during our stay. So, we sadly were unable to visit. Edwmar and valet opened doors for us continously and made sure our luggage was loaded. An exceptional team! I did not want to dock stars, as this is locally run. However, I do want to be honest about the rooms. Due to design of the hotel, the rooms are an ecochamber for sound and light. Please bring a white noise machine (or three) and black out eye pillows. Due to the noise, we were unable to sleep - as you hear every elevator ding, when it passes the floor, and any noise in the hallway and within other rooms. We did attempt to use our phones and noise machine all on loud but it didn't cut out the noise. There were girls screaming and slamming doors every night of our stay. While it was miserable to go without sleep, the staff were exceptional.

When people stay at your hotel, they want to book at a price and for you to charge them that specific price. Condado decides to add a random "resort fee" when you check in, in order to squeeze more out of their guests without stating it on the front end. That is shady, and it removes a full star for that unethical business practice. However, that is really where the negativ w s end. The facility is beautiful, and very welcoming. The location couldn't be more perfect, and the amenities of the facility were exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were clean and minimalistic, without being dated. We were able to walk to a wide variety of attractions to see San Juan without needing to get an Uber. The restaurant was excellent, with unique dishes and drinks to sample.
