Updated Review:…read more We've been YMCA since 2016 and overall have been happy. They do a good job of keeping the place clean and updated as much as they can. I appreciated that they have tried to add more classes with only one room and the gym. They have made a cycling room, which I hear offers great classes. They also added a midday yoga class, which is great when the kids are in school. I would like more daytime classes then evenings because that is better for my schedule. Childwatch is usually not busy, which is great. I do not use it anymore so I'm not sure on anything specific for childcare these days. Youth sports are affordable and the directors do a good job of making sure the kids are having fun and playing fair. It's nice they have a pool, but the schedule is hard to understand of exactly when open swim is. I also wish they would have a slide, like Coffman or something fun for the kids. The new director and new fitness director are really doing their best trying to improve the West Carrollton YMCA. Overall happy to be a member just wish they could make the place a bit bigger.

The director gave me the tour and she was very nice and helpful. They do honor the silver sneakers which give seniors with Medicare supplement insurance a totally free membership. I also learned not all locations honor the silver sneakers. When you are a member you can visit most other locations but not all. Lebanon Ohio y only honors their memberships. This was the first place i toured and i was interested.

BEWARE! Imagine you visit this Y from out of town. You put your things in an open locker to use…read morethe pool. Pool is closed so you use the steam room instead. After a steam you go to your locker to retrieve your things. The locker has malfunctioned won't open. you're in your swim trunks with no phone, no keys or wallet. The staff tells you there is no way to enter the malfunctioning locker. You're now STRANDED ! If you're lucky enough to have A friend nearby they can drive 45 min to give you clothes and a place to sleep. But what if you're not so lucky? You sleep on the floor of the Y I suppose. The maintenance person won't show up till the morning. When he does have to physically break into the malfunctioned locker, he'll insinuate it's your fault . DOES that sound like a RELAXING time at your local Y? Stay away. BEWARE!!

Typically the YMCA is known to be a helping organization in the community. I did not get this experience. When I called in, the call center girl was nit friendly, did not demonstrate empathy or understanding for what I was explaining. I had started the conversation by asking for the director or a supervisor and the call rep refused. I called back and left a message for the executive director. I then got a call back from someone who was taking the messages for the executive director. The Y at The Heights was unwilling to help me, adding even more stress to my already overwhelming situation. I work full-time, I am a single parent to 3 children and a full-time caregiver to a parent with Alzheimers. Shame of you Y at the Heights. You are not a friend to the community or those who need understanding and compassion. I give this organization, that truly only cares about $$$, zero stars.

Was not satisfied with how last year ran but I gave them a…read morepass it seemed like they were trying to put kids health into consideration because Aug last year was very hot. But starting late cause the kids to be playing during the snow or freezing temperatures. They added a game for the week following the "close" of the season. They have no regard for parents schedules. Season should be starting Saturday sept 5th. It's been postponed to sept 13th. But some teams will have games Saturday the 5th. I have 2 kids and have no schedule for either kids team. How am I supposed to schedule life if they can't get me a schedule and not make last minute changes?!? If the refs are as bad this year as last it's going down. U4 games should last 30 mins max. One of our daughters last over an hour because the ref couldn't keep track of time! Hire people who know how to use a stopwatch or tell time. I left the sports director a voicemail and I've still not gotten a call back. They do not prioritize timeliness. Practice schedules went out the week before they started. It's no surprise the teams barely have 9 players each. Parents don't want the bullcrap.

It's not a flashy or huge gym with saunas or tanning beds but the people are friendly, the dumbbells go up to 125 for the heavy lifters, and there's a big turf room where classes are held or you can use for any type of free space training you need. Like all gyms on Wright-Patt is is open to Active Duty, Retirees and dependents. It does not have as much equipment as the other two gyms on base. There is also a 1/4 mile outdoor track. The weight machines are totally different but they have enough to focus on whatever area you wish to work on. Some of the equipment looked older than what the other facilities have but some also looked newer. The gym is usually less crowed than the other two gyms which means no waiting for equipment.

I find so much peace and comfort in how much love show to all the little ones, even when my daughter has been out sick they always check in on her just to see how she is feeling! One of my favorite things is I can physically see what my child is doing at any point for those times when I really miss her! I will ALWAYS recommend them to anyone who is looking for childcare because this place is so much more than just childcare! :)
