First of all, I had a very complex lock on a jewelry drawer that I tried to pick myself (unsuccessfully). I asked a few locksmiths on Yelp to see who could come out and unlock this on the same day and at an affordable rate. Not only was Sergio the first to respond to my question (easily within 10 minutes, probably more like 5), but he was able to come over 20 or so minutes after calling him. These service was good and I'm glad they were able to help me break open my safe, but if I realized that they were going to end up using a crowbar and some other tools to break it then I wouldn't have called. It didn't take the individual more than 30 minutes including the total time of coming to the location, using the bathroom, and assessing the safe. The entire time was spent breaking open the safe which I obliged to out of desperation. It would have been nice if they were more upfront about what they are about to charge instead of just asking casually if I want it broken open. The price was outrageous because of a high base rate plus a labor rate that was not entirely fair for the time required for the job even with considering the effort it took. I paid without argue out of respect, but feel like I was taken advantage of due to the service having been completed. 10-21-2019 Sergio was punctual and arrived on time. My main concern was that my front door no longer opened easily using the outside latch. In no time he took the Baldwin lock apart, lubricated it and rehung it. The lock now opens easily. I was extremely pleased with this result and gladly rated him with 5 stars. He then took a look at another door that was out of alignment. He placed a shimmy in one of the hinges and solved the problem quickly. All this work was accomplished within 1 hour at a cost of $95. After spending a lot of parts on my car that did not start, my mechanic told me it was the cam sensors, it was the crankshaft sensor, fuel pump etc.. and wasted a lot of money on perfectly functional parts.
