Small place with limited seating around the window. And a stand-up island in the center. This place is geared more toward cappuccinos, espresso's and such but the drip coffee is really good. They were super nice, made sure my coffee was fresh and its absolutely a better option than any of the chains. read more

Superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr friendly staff that greets you and gives you great service all the way to the end. It was my first time here and Sumeer, the barista, definitely made me feel welcome. I tried the macchiato which was a bit bitter but definitely gave me a nice kick for the day. Will definitely come back if I am in the area to try their other drinks. On another note, this place has limited seating as there are only two "counters" with a few bar stools so I wouldn't suggest it as a place to study. Like many, I went to check this place out with the Coffee Passport. I was meeting a friend there and we had a bit of trouble finding it since they had just moved and Google Maps was not reflecting their new address correctly, although, by the time you read this, I am sure it will be corrected. The owner was there with a barista and was nice and chatty. He told me about the previous location, the move and was overall very welcoming. Kudos. Fahrenheit is tiny, although fairly open concept in design with very (actually change that to 'extreme') limited sitting. Uh... 6 tall chairs if I recall... All facing outward, so no romantic lattes to be had in-house. Their latte was okay. I think this is one of those places that will either thrive with local sales on their way from or to work or die a horrible and quick death as this is not a hang out place in any stretch of the imagination. Mostly a pick-and-go place and as such, it means they probably will not get a lot of non-local traffic in the Winter months. Since even though it is located on Jarvis this Cafe is a blink and you will miss it kinda of place. If you DO find the place, then during the Summer, as per Jennifer K's review you can take your coffee for a walk or to a nearby park. Which is okay... So... since there was no one when we got there, my friend and I ventured into two of the chairs and yeah, they are not for long-time sitting... as such, we went to the nearby park instead. read more

I love this little coffee shop. They're in a strange spot, off the beaten path, but definately worth looking for. It's at the end of my street, so it's convenient for me :) Their baked goods are awesome and the service is efficient and friendly. Fahrenheit Coffee (kiddie corner to the gas station at Richmond and Jarvis) is a groovy enthusiastic little coffee spot. Ambience is bare bones... literally with limited seating of bony high stools and narrow raw wood counters. But the guys behind the counter really love to talk coffee, and they know their stuff too: The overtones of chocolate and cashews that were pitched to me when "choosing a bean" for my cappuccino were 100% on point. They are sommaliers of caffeine, reinforced by a wall proudly decked with barista awards. Even the drinking water is infused with coffee beans instead of lemon. I've experienced Fahrenheit Coffee two ways - in their cafe and by taking their whole bean coffee home. Both are exceptional. In the store I had a cortado (ask them, they love to explain it) and an americano. Both were really delicious - the cortado was sweet and roasty, but the americano had all sorts of delicious citrus and fruit notes. (If you don't drink a lot of coffee, just trust me that those are good things, even if you want to add milk.) I have had (I think) four different roasts from them brewed at home and all of them have been delicious and distinct. They have smooth, flavourful and delicious light roasts that coffee lovers will appreciate. (If when you think "light roast" you think "Tim Horton's," for heaven's sake, get in here so they can set you straight) as well as delightful espressos. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that this is, by far, the friendliest coffee shop I've ever been in. The guys behind the counter clearly love their jobs - they were laughing and chatting up customers and cheering for regulars the whole time we were in there. Fahrenheit Coffee is the one cafe I have frequent to the most thus far. This was my fourth visit, which is considered a lot because I am always at a different cafe each time. Sameer, the owner, loves his 90s-00s pop music. So you will definitely hear songs from N'Sync to Backstreet Boys to Justin Timberlake while enjoying a cup of coffee if you do happen to stay for awhile. Fahrenheit Coffee is not meant to be a cafe where you plan to sit down and do your work for hours due to its small space. It's a grab-and-go cafe that you would stop before work, during break or after work to get a snack and/or coffee. I wanted to try something new so I asked Sameer to give me a drink of his choice on the menu. I was given a cortado, which was made from Kenyan coffee beans, and I was guided through drinking it. The drink is extremely strong during the initial sip. But eventually becomes sweeter after with the milk once you get adjusted to the taste. However, it wasn't to my taste and Sameer had the barista, Benedictus, to make a complimentary cup of latte for my friend and I. Both of our lattes were adorned with latte art, a bear for me and a butterfly for my friend! You should have seen me squealing when the lattes were placed in front of us. The prettier the latte art, the happier I get. For the coffee, roasted coffee beans from Te Aro are used. The beans are tweaked specifically for Fahrenheit Coffee and can be bought in 1/2 pound package for $10 in-store. All the drinks are made with high grade coffee beans to ensure for the quality. Muffins and croissants are brought in batters or half baked each morning to make sure that everything is baked fresh for the day. Paninis are made in batches every morning to sell. They usually run out by 2 PM each day. So if you want a panini, better get them early because they don't make them on the order. And for those who are used to stamp cards, you could buy a prepaid card for a set number of drinks ($31.50 for 9 lattes, $27 for 9 cappuccinos, and $18 for 9 americanos). If you would like a chill cafe to hang out with a friend or a place to grab-and-go, Fahrenheit Coffee is definitely the place. I was a little disappointed they didn't offer pour over (or any other method then espresso or filter). That being said I would go back for the energy and try out their espresso. After the amazing cappuccino I had at Buca the night before I searched yelp and found this joint. We arrived 20 minutes after opening. They had no muffins, etc. ready. They were all sitting ready to be baked. Our 1 coffee and 1 cappuccino were down right gross! Tasted bitter and burnt. We didn't finish them and went to Starbucks around the corner. Whenever I visit a place, I always buy a bag of coffee beans from a local shop for my husband. He has an Aeropress and loves great coffee. I heard great things about Fahrenheit, so I popped in one snowy morning at the end of a business trip to TO. The staff are super friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The heroes me choose a great coffee bean, which my husband loved. I ordered a chai soy latte and I have to say it was just m'eh. I love real chai tea lattes, but this was average. That said, their coffee smelled really good and they have a lot of regulars in the morning. I would stick to coffee drinks and you'll be quite impressed :-) read more

Great little coffee shop! Had a straight coffee the first day, then came back to try a Cortado. First time trying the drink and it was amazingly delicious. Very smooth, slightly sweet, tasted the Kenya beans nicely. Staff is super cool, high energy and chill at the same time if that makes sense. Also, not a fan of scones, but had a cheddar and chive scone as it was calling my name. It was bomb! Next time I come back to Toronto I will make sure to stop by. read more

You won't find better espresso in Toronto. I'm a super-snob cappuccino drinker, and I have never been disappointed by the caps at Fahrenheit. In fact, my tongue has always rejoiced at the full, smooth flavour of carefully extracted espresso married with perfectly silky smooth frothed milk. Do yourself a favour: order it to stay, in a ceramic cup. Sit at the small bar along the window and take your time to enjoy the full sensory experience. It's all Sameer, the owner. Homeboy is one of the most skilled Baristas doing it. There are other skilled baristas in Toronto, but Sameer has mad skills, is super consistent (which seems rare!), and is a sweet, friendly guy. He's still smiling even though you can tell he's been working open to close, 7 days a week. Passion and dedication and it shows up in the cup. He seems to be excellent at training staff too, because, like I've said, I've never had a mediocre cap here. AND, hallelujah, there is now a talented, friendly and beautiful pastry chef turning out freshly baked deliciousness on site. Such a lovely departure from going into every indie coffee shop in town and seeing the exact same muffins and cookies. I always pop in to Fahrenheit in the morning to grab either an apple crumble or the banana choco chip muffin - both super delicious. As far as muffins go...they knock it out of the park. They also have really great scones and if you pop in around lunch time, their sandwiches are really high quality and include unique ingredients. And that's just the food! When I walked in and glanced at the menu I let Sameer know that it was my first time there and that I've heard great things about their coffee (the multiple barista awards on the wall speak for themselves). He was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable almost instantly. After a brief overview of what they had to offer I was ready to give it a shot. Needless to say I was not disappointed WOW! Definitely the best espresso drinking experience I've ever had hands down. I was presented with 2 options; one which was more on the bold/dark chocolatey side and the other more flowery/light. I opted for the dark chocolate blend first. Sameer coached me through the changing flavours I would be experiencing with each sip which added a whole new dimension to the experience. I was so impressed that I ordered the other flavour immediately after (caffeine overload!). I can't say enough good things about my brief first experience today. I will definitely be back soon. Anyone who wants to experience true craftsmanship of coffee brewing MUST try this place. I never was much of a espresso drinker, let alone a coffee drinker but I've been hooked ever since I've tried Sameer's (the owner) latte. Until I was introduced to this place I didn't think much of trying out different beans. Being a noobie drinker and all, I thought they all taste just.. bitter... I don't know what it is about the way he makes it but Sameer really knows how to bring out unique aroma of each type of bean. Before sugar was a must whenever drinking coffee but I completely stopped using it just so I can enjoy his latte purely as is. My current favorite is their Ethiopian selection that has rich nutty aroma. I also loved the Ethiopian before that had kind of a floral touch to it... Honestly, I can't say enough about this place... I googled cafes close by to my new job and this one seemed to get a lot of great reviews, now I know why and completely agree. There's a lot of coffee shops out there, everyone is doing something different, but what I like about this place is that it's small and simple. The coffee is good, the treats are excellent, and the service...well the customer service is what keeps me going back! Going somewhere and receiving outstanding customer service these days is quite rare, so when I went in here and they treated me like an old friend, I was sold l! I always leave smiling, the fellas in there are doing it right! I went in this morning for my Americano and the smell of fresh hot croissants filling up the place, so I got one of those too...um one of the best croissants I have had ever.
