Bad bad service. Extremely expensive. I took my diamond ring there to repair it because it was bended and needed it resized. It took 2 weeks to get the job done and the ring was too small. I had to take it back waiting another week and it still not properly fitted but because they said it was my finger got swelling I kept the ring as it was. Making it super hard to puton/off. Now, the worse was after 3 months having the ring repaired by them a little side diamond came off. I took it back there and they gave me another excuse saying that I banged the ring and that's why the side diamond fell off. Total scam! The "verbal appraisal" that was $45 for every 15 min, consisted of some random salesperson trying on my jewelry, and pushing it around with her hands (no magnifying glass, etc...- she handled everything with her hands only), she told me that my jewelry wasn't worth anything, that no one would want to wear it and I should just sell it to them. She said, "I don't think you understand what we do here," to which I said, "I am here for a verbal appraisal! After 45 min she finally pointed to each piece and told me her personal opinion about their value. Melt-down value was $1,200 while retail (which took her 2 minutes to assess) was $20,000. The only thing worthless was my time sitting there getting scammed for their hourly fee. In paid $140 for a 45 minute sales pitch! read more

I found Facets through a friend and I'm glad I did! My now fiancee and I decided to take her mother's ring instead of getting something new. When I got the ring from her mother it was in pretty bad shape. Part of the shank was missing (still can't get to the bottom of that!), the center stone was loose, and generally it was looking worse for the wear. Add on top of that the fact that I needed the ring back in only a few weeks since my proposal date was set. Not only did they get the job done early and for a good price, they blew me away with the overall restoration job. They were able to match the fine detail work along the new portion of the shank and made the entire ring look brand new (while still retaining its antique charm). When I came to facets they were immediately excited about the prospect of my engagement and started showing me stuff in my price range and we're very receptive to my feedback. I think mostly it was refreshing for someone to help me choose rather than just kind of sit back and watch me look. The ring I chose was broken and cracked in a couple of places so they fixed them and sized it for my fiancée. They said to give it at least 2 weeks and it was actually done within a few days. The price was totally reasonable (especially since there were no diamonds in the rings), and we were able to get my ring re-sized the same day. My husband decided that he needed to get his ring re-sized a week or so later, and they did it right away for him. Facets reset an engagement ring for me 6 years ago. The goal was to develop an incredibly durable setting given my job and that I always wear my ring (sleep, shower, workout). Despite me being given a lower price than what they gave my husband and he paid we moved foward. Ring is beautiful and I love the setting. However I stopped in for the first time after the pandemic to have the setting checked and the woman said the ring needed "MAJOR WORK" and scolded me for not coming in sooner to have it checked and not having a maintenance insurance policy that would cover repairs. She quoted ballpark $2000 to fix the setting which was half the amount of the orignal work. I asked if the stone was secure and she was vague. She said this type of setting should be checked constantly. I told them I would have to think about it. Needless to say, I was angry at the situation. I then went to the non flashy jeweler who is around the corner from me to evaulate. He said the stone is totally secure. I trust this guy as he does basic work really well. It is worth pointing out as well that when I originally had my engagment ring reset I also replaced a missing stone in my wedding band. When I called to pick up the wedding band they said they didn't have it and told me I already picked it up. When I said "no I didn't" they said "Are you sure?". They called back the next day saying they found it. She was apologetic but obviously thinking your band is lost was upsetting. They also "cleaned and maintened" my husbands Tag watch and it came out not working as well as before. I will not go back here. They have beautiful pieces but the service has been horrible and dishonest. read more
