FACES was my go to club because I don't go out often but when I do I'm there to dance and have a good time. It usually always is a vibe. But not last night. Last night I walked past a security guard. WALKED I didn't stumble, I didn't fall, I was not causing any trouble whatsoever. Nor did I do any of that through out the night. I was just walking to the next room with my aunts and the security looked straight at me and said she gotta go. FOR NO REASON. Literally follows me to the next room and grabs me and pulls me outside. And I kept asking them why and they didn't give me a reason. They said you wanna speak to the manager I said YES! When the manager comes out she goes well it looks like you already had some drinks before you got here. I'm like no, I've been here for 2 whole hours buying drinks at your establishment...I've been having drinks HERE what do you even mean. And she walks away from me. She literally did not give a damn. Worst experience ever. Idk what the hell is going on but I won't be back anymore. And I will never ever recommend it to anyone anymore either. They literally made hella money off of us from us paying entrance and at the bar. Just to kick us out for no damn reason. read more

Not sure why this place is rated so poorly, I've been here multiple times and everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. Various stages for different kinds of music and a great vibe overall. There is a cover charge past 10pm, but if you get in earlier, you don't have to pay. Drinks depends on which bartender you get some are stronger than others. read more

the no durags policy is micro agressive. i wore a protective scarf with no paisley just a pattern of faces on it to FACES and my bf wore a durag and they wouldn't let us in?? and then left to badlands to be let in no problem. I highly recommend faces change their policy to gang affia like a red paisley scarf sure but your poc clients coming in on a week day to have fun and support and feel comfortable shouldn't have to feel exposed and uncomfortable. 0 STARS IF I COULD. My friends were on the second floor and asked for tap water. The bartender told them it would be $3 for TAP WATER. I've been to plenty of clubs and never once have I seen a place charge for tap. Bottled? Sure. But tap water?! Even restaurants and public water fountains offer that for free. Charging for something so basic especially in a bar setting where people are drinking and hydration is a matter of safety is beyond greedy. It's denying a human need for the sake of profit. Part of our group was waiting outside for the rest of the group to leave when Tay came up to us, made sure we were all okay and made sure we were all getting home safe. None of us were unwell but if anyone was, this interaction could have helped someone. The drinks, atmosphere, and dancing was all great. But, the security is bogus. I wasn't stumbling or causing any sort of scene. The staff here are extremely unprofessional. I visited faces on Saturday, 2/7/26, with a small group of friends and my boyfriend. We enjoyed ourselves for about 2 hours, drinking, bouncing between the different dance floors and the outdoor patio. My boyfriend and I split off from my friends and went to the bar in the big room to grab a shot. I ordered a double shot of vodka and a cran back. When I was served the shot, I reached for the glass and immediately felt it slice into the palm of my hand, close to my pinky finger. It started to bleed. Nothing crazy though, I wasn't dramatic. I showed the bartender (the one who served me the broken glass) he said nothing, grabbed a small stack of bar napkins, dropped them into my injured hand, and retrieved the faulty glass. I waited in the same spot for about 5-7 for the bartender to re-pour my shot. After he did (he still had not said a word to me... not even an apology) my boyfriend and I went to the patio to smoke. After being on the patio for about 5 minutes, a security guard walked up to my boyfriend and I, SNATCHED one of the vapes out of my hand and began to smell it, he asked if it was weed, I told him the truth and he said we had to leave. So we left without argument. (I knew it was against the rules and I wasn't angry about getting kicked out, this was entirely my fault and NOT part of my gripe with the establishment... besides the fact the security guard who kicked us out damn near smoked my pen with how close he put it to his nostrils, I was a bit disgusted). After we left, we stood outside of faces and tried contacting my friends who were still inside. Mind you this WHOLE time I was applying pressure to my (still bleeding) hand with a measly stack of bar napkins. I spoke to a security guard who was on his way inside (I think by the main entrance) I told him I was served a glass inside that cut me and I needed a bandaid. I don't remember what he said but he went inside (I assumed to grab a bandaid) and didn't return. After waiting for him for maybe 10 minutes, I decided to try my luck with the bouncer. I told him the same thing. I was served a broken glass and I need a bandaid. He called for a bandaid on his little earpiece microphone and we went back to waiting. Another 10 minutes go by and the second security guard I had asked was now replaced with a woman (maybe 5'6, 40 years old, and Asian, with a black ponytail) So I asked her. Hey I was served a broken glass inside and I need a bandaid. She called for it on the microphone earpiece. I went back to waiting. Another 10 minutes (we are at 30 MINUTES now) go by and I decide to remind the lady that I'm still waiting for a bandaid. I walk up to her again as she's talking with another guest, still holding napkins on my injury, and I said excuse me, this woman put her palm in my face and yelled "IM TALKING!!! " I gave her that same energy and said "IM BLEEDING " while holding up my bloody bar napkins. She said nothing in response, and called AGAIN (a bit angrier this time) on the earpiece: "WHERE'S THAT BANDAID" My boyfriend and I take ourselves back to the sidewalk to wait and eventually a man comes out with 2 bandaids, the woman directs him to where I was waiting. We took the bandaids and left. The staff clearly doesn't take their clientele seriously. I was drunk, but not drunk enough to act a fool or forget how I was treated. The funny thing is, this establishment got me intoxicated, injured me, kicked me out (which was valid), and then made me beg for aid. I'm actually appalled at this type of behavior. They know they can get away with it because their guests are drunk. So thank you, Sacramento Faces staff, for letting your egos fuel your work ethic, and for treating your guests like a nuisance. Faces is easily the worst club I've ever been to. The interior is cheap, outdated, and feels like it hasn't been updated in decades. The music is bad. Security is on a full-on power trip, rude, aggressive, and clearly more interested in policing people than creating a safe or welcoming environment. The cover charge is ridiculous for what you get and absolutely not worth it. Despite branding itself as a queer space, this place is not queer-friendly in practice. It feels more like a grimy dive bar exploiting the LGBTQ+ label than an actual community space. I recommend The Flamingo House instead. More welcoming. More queer friendly. It's honestly ironic for a place that's supposed to be a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, my experience at Faces was the complete opposite. It was my first time ever trying to go, and instead of feeling welcomed, I was singled out by a bouncer who was both racist and homophobic. Out of all my friends, I was the only one told to get out of the line, with no explanation, no reason -- just clear discrimination. He's one of the bald guys and pushing 40, honestly pick a struggle buddy. This was hands-down one of the worst experiences I've ever had at any venue, let alone one that claims to support diversity and inclusion. Thankfully, we ended up going to Badlands instead, and the energy there was completely different -- welcoming, inclusive, and exactly what you'd hope for from a nightlife space. Faces seriously needs to do better. If you're looking for a place that actually lives up to its values, skip this one. read more

I really want to love this place, and I do when security is reasonable, but there is one lady who is horrible. I felt like I was judged instantly and told I wasn't allowed in because I had Lactaid pills on me. I cannot have dairy, and they were making free burgers so I brought lactaid in mind of having cheese on my burger. She said I wasn't allowed in with them and I understood. I wish I could write about a fun night out at Faces Nightclub, but unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by what felt like blatant racial profiling. My friend heard at the front of the line that "there was a little asian girl about yea big who three away a buzzball in the trash." It wasn't me, but they searched me anyway in the most degrading way possible My friends and I -- all asian -- were so ready for a good time. But from the moment we got to the entrance, we were met with some unnecessary scrutiny. While others were being let in without issue, we were singled out, as the next group of asian girls, questioned aggressively, and told to take off my boots and had to kneel on the cold cement. Not that no one else with boots just as high (not asian) were checked like this in any way. When we asked for clarification or tried to point out the inconsistency, we were dismissed. I LOVE Faces!! Anytime I feel like dancing, it's my go to place! What I love about it is the three separate dance rooms. When you want a change in music just head to another room. DO NOT COME HERE I went to this bar on a Sunday just to grab a drink with my husband and some friends and when I tried walked in, this older very obnoxious and sad door lady with dirty blonde hair and glasses told my husband he wasn't allowed to come in at all. Mind you we come here almost every Saturday the security and dancers knows us and we have never had a problem getting in. I asked her what happened she gestured me to leave as well and to ask him why, when she could have clearly just explained the situation. Apparently his pants were sagging to much for her taste, but he's worn his pants the same every time we've came before. My husband was willing to pull his pants up and even wait back at the end of the line, but she refused and said he couldn't re-enter tonight. I understand this is a club and the rules are strict but he offered to pull his pants up, a simple fix, and come back and she acted like he was trying to bring a weapon in? This entire situation was so incredibly rude and ridiculous. I'd never come back to a place that's that unreasonable. Honestly, this entire interaction had told me I shouldn't come back. We asked for managements numerous times and they said it's up to the front door person's discretion. Mind you she allowed several other people after my husband who was sagging more than him in the club, males and females were sagging and she didn't bat an eye. Never come here if you want to be treated in a decent way. We are regulars and we were treated like we were randos. She was very rude and unnecessary. I hope this place doesn't let someone so awful work for them. I had never had this issue before. This place has always been so welcoming and nice. But if the door lady wants to be that sad and unreasonable, then I won't be back, especially if she's up front. I hope they hire someone better. I am a regular here especially for Sunday and Tuesday night karaoke. I have not only been a regular but I have invited friends and helped build a regular-ish crowd around d Tuesday karaoke. The problem: tonight, just about 50 minutes ago, I was booted out by security because I "seemed overly intoxicated on the cameras"... what was i doing? I was sitting on available leather seating and thinking while waiting for my next karaoke song. I dont know if I will return now. Horrible club! I fell by the pool that they have outdoors because of the water and they kicked me out saying I was drunk even though I was sober. They are horrible and would not recommend them since their staff are incompetent and kicked me out when they kicked me out for falling. I have been sober for 4 years and celebrating by sobriety. There was a security guard on August 30-31st that tried to kick me and my friend out for trying to keep our private parts private!!! Tonight a lady security guard went thru my purse & I said I have my pain meds in there & she said I had to have my prescription bottle with me, I offered to show her my current prescription on the sutter app & walgreens app which she said no, I told her I'm not comfortable bringing 120 controlled substance pills anywhere & I offered to throw them out, she said I wasn't allowed to come in no matter what I did even with my handicap placard in hand since I'm permanently disabled..this is excessive & discriminating. I get paying for security, bills, etc. but this isn't Vegas. 5 of us that were going to come in tonight and spend good money on drinks unfortunately changed our mind after we saw the $20 cover. I'm old AF now but 10 years ago, Faces was the spot to go. I was easily here almost every weekend and really enjoyed it, hardly ever any issues. Fast forward to this year when we finally came back and it's changed. Before, it was free to get in before 10pm and after the cover charge was $10-15....now it's $20 no matter the time. Security at the doors are quite rude as lots of others mentioned. Inside they switched up some rooms. The low key bar at the front has been flipped around so the bar is on the other side of the room and they now play it's own style of music. The taco lady is no longer on the patio but the outside streets are lined with hotdog vendors. Only downside to this is they don't offer in & out privileges so if you go outside to get a hotdog, you gotta pay to get back in. The perk of the taco lady is that she was inside Faces. The Hip hop room is the same, the room that used to be Spanish flipped with the pop/techno room. Drinks seemed to still be reasonably priced but also depended on which bartender you got. I was charged $7 by one person then $10 by another for the same drink. I do feel they offer more seating which is a plus! Overall we enjoyed ourselves and it reminded us of our younger years lol. We do enjoy the Spanish dedicated room and is what we mostly come for and will continue to come back. read more

I just went out here with a friend and for the most part had a really good time. The drinks were a bit expensive and I felt that the music was kind of the same, but I felt that the dancers gave a pretty good show. I loved the environment and felt pretty safe here for the most part. However the night did not end exactly the best way that I had hoped, out of nowhere we were kicked out for smoking a joint on the outside patio area. We were smoking exactly where it would be most appropriate to smoke and got in trouble for it. It puzzles me more because there was literal ash trays there that multiple people had used throughout the night. Multiple security guards passed by us and did not care up until this one dude showed up and was not having us smoking something legal on a part of the club where you would think it would be its whole purpose. WHY WAS THERE AN ASH TRAY? We didn't even care to try to argue against this. We left quietly and tried to go as fast as we can. On our way out one of the security guards told my friend in a threatening manner to finish their drink before leaving. It's very bizarre how abrupt and out of nowhere this happened. For something that should have been not a problem at all. It's whatever man, it seems like this place has a history of kicking people out unfairly. Visited Faces on a Thursday night with a couple of friends. I was a little worried after reading recent Yelp reviews about security since I lost my ID and was showing up with my passport hoping for entry. I was immediately greeted by friendly security and when I asked if I could use my passport was told it was no issue at all. Security checked my purse and then I went inside to show my ID. The man doing ID checks was also friendly and we joked around about me having to carry my passport since I lost my ID. The bar was pretty quiet when we arrived and we chose the first bar to get our first drinks. The bartender was SUPER nice and asked us if we were going to sing karaoke. He went on to tell us what songs he would be singing. It was just a fun experience. Drink prices were a little higher than what I'm used to in a smaller city, but wasn't any higher than the others on the block. After sitting out front on the small patio and enjoying our drinks, we went into the main bar area where they were having karaoke. There is another bar in there and a large area to sit as well as couches on the side. It was easy to sign up for a song to sing on the app and it had a feature where we could see who was up so we didn't have to stay there and pay attention while we waited for our turn. We ended up going in the next room for a bit where there was a DJ and dancing. It was loud but so much fun with the higher energy environment. Out back was quiet and there is a pool there. Someone said they have swimming some nights but apparently not that night. We ended up having a great time singing and came and went a few times with no issues. It got super busy as the night went and the staff continued to be friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be back. read more

Best club in sac! Each room has a different type of music which is so nice if you get bored of a song. So many bars to choose from and a chiller area to hang out upstairs. They also have an outdoor area with a pool to get some fresh air. Bar tenders are usually really cool and fun. 4 stars because the security can be very rude sometimes. read more

Love that there's multiple music areas with different genres for different vibes. Entry & food is kinda pricey l though. One thing I didn't like was that the bathrooms were gender neutral, and sometimes guys would be in there with us. American Express confirmed that the bartender indeed wrote himself the tip. Had a great time at Faces Nightclub. What I like about this club is the layout; they have 2 floors and several dancefloors/dance rooms for different genres of music like Hip Hop, Latin, etc. It's fun to dance in one room, then move to the next. Each room has at least one bar, so you don't have to wait long for drinks. They even have an outside area with a pool out back you can get in on Saturdays. Downsides are the $20 cover charge and no in/out privileges after midnight. Another downside is Sac nightlife ends earlier than other cities, so they start closing up at 1:45 am. Still one of my favorite spots with dope people. Plus, there are bacon wrapped hotdog stands outside to get a quick bite to eat, so that adds to the 5 star rating. read more
