He answered all my questions about the pricing, room size, additional hours and food, was transparent about the 18% gratuity, and even let me take a quick peak of the VIP Room when I went to pay the deposit. The rest of the staff was also very quick during the actual day we were there. They set us up with our food and drinks pretty quickly and basically didn't bother us for the rest of the night. Since I had a party of 13 people, I got the VIP Room package which was super nice, clean and could've comfortably fit more than 13 people. It also comes with a private bathroom that was also really well kept and clean too. Anyone in your party can freely come in and out of the room, and there's no need for everyone to be present before you can go into the room. Queuing music is done through YouTube but you can also use their own karaoke machine with its preset songs. The only downside I have to say about this place is the food. It's not bad and it's nice how it comes with the room, but the quality itself is nothing crazy. The song request list included Pink Pony Club, Bennie And The Jets, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Sweet Caroline, Gangster's Paradise, I Love Rock n Roll, It's All Coming Back To Me Now, Have You Ever Seen The Rain, My Girl, Piano Man, Come and Get Your Love, Bohemian Rhapsody, Elton John's Your Song, Taylor Swift's Anti-Hero, and a mash up of Brown Eyed Girl and Summer of 69. (I swear I didn't name the entire song list for the night, lol) The musicians were playful but didn't butcher songs to the point of being distasteful... yes some dueling pianists do this at other venues. And their music added to an already inviting setting featuring dim lighting and cool wall art. The drinks of course added to my experience as well. For cocktails, I had the Hell of a Caucasian, Jackie (which was pretty much a chocolate martini) and the 1982 Mojito. The drinks were made well, both in terms of flavor and alcohol content. We made our reservation online for a medium karaoke room since there were originally 12 of us. The first half of our group arrived before everyone else, and we were told we had to wait for the whole group before going into the room because our reserved time would start as soon as we entered, whether everyone was there or not. Totally understandable. While we waited, the host asked if we wanted to grab food or drinks, so we headed to the bar. This is unfortunately where our experience took a turn. It was our first time there, and there weren't physical menus at the bar, just a QR code that we didn't notice right away. I had already scanned and looked through their menu at home before coming, and I remembered seeing margaritas listed, so I told my sister they had them. She asked the bartender if they had margaritas, and he responded, "It's a sushi bar, we don't have sweet drinks." We were confused because I had literally seen margaritas on their menu, but okay. So we asked what kind of drinks they did have and explained that we were looking for something sweeter because we don't like strong/harsh drinks. His response was, "We don't have that Mexican stuff." Excuse me??? We all immediately looked at each other like, did he really just say that? The comment was completely unnecessary, condescending, and came across as blatantly racist. We asked for a sweet drink not "Mexican stuff." And regardless, what does being Mexican have to do with asking a bartender for a drink recommendation? He also made absolutely no effort to suggest another cocktail or help us figure out what we might like. We had already paid for our karaoke room, so we decided not to let that interaction ruin our night. We ordered one drink each, left the bar area, ordered our food, and waited for the rest of our group. Thankfully, the actual karaoke experience was SO MUCH FUN! We ended up with 9 people, and the medium room was perfect for that size. It says it accommodates up to 12, but personally I think 12 people would have been pretty cramped. They had a great variety of music, gave us two microphones, and we sang and danced the entire time. We had a freaking blast! The food was also delicious.
