Just got back from my first (but not last) appointment for a cut. Was very nervous as I tend to have bad luck with stylist. When I called, they set me up with Sydney. So happy they did. She is very sweet and personable. But more importantly, she gave me a cut that I love. My daughter and I went to Face the Day Salon for the first time for a haircut and style. My daughter had Regan to cut her long hair into long layers and blow dry. It turned out beautiful! She was very pleased! I was assigned to Amy. She gave me a very relaxing massage shampoo and I could tell by the she was layering the back of my hair that it was going to be good! I showed her a picture of what I would like the back of my hair in the front of my hair to look like and she nailed it! Just want to say a big thank you to Amy and to Regan forgiving my daughter and I two great haircuts! Here's the back of my hair. I used to work for face the day spa, and I've been very nervous to write my review and experience but I feel like you all need to understand everything and what I went through. The pros: The girls who work there are incredibly talented, beautiful woman who love their clients and would go out of their way in need of their clients. No cattyness, family atmosphere. The cons: First, it's aveda. As you know, aveda has charkha elements and very passionate about the our chakra alignments and making sure that our bodies are aligned. This aveda place does not sell the chakra line nor do they put it into their treatments. The owner. This is the reason why I haven't made a comment. She is very intimidating and she hurt my feelings to the point where i am so glad I'm not working there anymore. I was working there for about 2 months. While I was there I was running around like a madwoman. I was cleaning bathrooms, doing laundry (I did at least 8 loads of laundry in one day.) I was cutting foil, I was cleaning up other people's stations when they were done (that was on me because I wanted to help out) cleaned the nail room and just running around. The girls were so thankful and they thanked me all the time for it. However, the owner was like "come with me" and shows me the bathroom where it was very messy and I completely understand where She was coming from, but what she said to me while we were having a heart to heart conversation: "I showed you had to put in the liner in the garbage cans twice and your still not getting it...i mean I think your smart...i don't think their anything wrong with your brain. So why can't you get it right?" Or how I asked a question and she's like: "but I asked you this in the interview and you said you knew it...i think what your looking for is attention, and that's why you asked that question when we were talking about something different" She kept on telling me how when she was younger she wasn't confident in expressing herself but now she doesn't care what others think. Yeah well I guess making a human feel as little and stupid by the way she talked to me. She mad me feel so horriable. She made me cry on several occasions to where I wanted to quit. Mind you...i just got out if aveda school and this was my first job after getting out of school. Very bad experience for me... And yes I said things I shouldn't have said. Like how my experience at my aveda school wasn't the best and I explained why and the owner had the nerve to call me a liar! I have backup from my Esthetician school friends who will agree with me that it wasn't the best and there is the fact that the teachers at my school were fired...s All in all...i gave it 3 stars because of the girls there. Easily hands down the best facial I have in my life!!! They managed to squeeze me in for a last minute facial, my girl Kylie was a little late but made up for it with a facial from heaven. She was super sweet and very welcoming. She was really good about making me super comfortable and explaining what my skin needed more or less of. She cleared my skin up better than any esthetician before has ever! Was an absolute doll. I definitely recommend if you want quality service from quality people. I booked a prenatal massage that I had to wait a couple of weeks for since it was close to Mother's Day. I planned my entire week around this massage, worked over the weekend so I could have a week day off and had to secure childcare for my toddler. When I arrived, I was told they did not have anyone there today who is certified in prenatal massages (although when booking I specifically asked for a prenatal massage). They were not able to accommodate me that day and told me I would have to reschedule for the next week. There were no incentives or apologies provided for the inconvenience. As a consumer, if we are late to cancel or arrive to an appointment we are expected to pay a cancellation fee and I do not value businesses who don't reciprocate the value and respect of their customers time. read more

I started going there because I needed a new place,someone recommended going to and Aveda Salon they have good products and a great reputation. I made an appointment in Ocala and went there 2 or 3 timesand my experience was great. I have been in Odessa,Fla for the past 3 months and again I went to an Aveda Salon and I have been again been pleasantly surprised with their services as well as the Ocala location. I have curley hair and when I booked my 1st appointment in Ocala I told them I wanted someone with experience working curley hair, same as the Odessa and both times the girls had curly hair like mine and immediately I felt comfortable in both places. I'm very piticular about my hair. I will be staying with both salons and I'm ever in another area and need a haircut I will not hesitate to go to another Aveda Salon. read more

So happy to have been able to get in at last minute on my bday. As soon as I arrived I was greeted kindly. I was early so I knew I would have to wait a few minutes. I was offered a refreshment while I waited. At exactly the time of my appt my stylist came and greeted me. She offered me a refreshment and led me to her chair. Once there, I showed her a past picture of myself of what I was looking for. Before starting she gave me a neck and shoulder massage. So relaxing. Then she washed my hair and while the conditioner was doing its wonders on my ends, she gave me a hand and arm massage. I could have fallen asleep. Once back to her chair, she began the shaping process, then explaining some of the product she was using for styling. She did an amazing job. I was very very pleased. Definitely received more than what I expected. They have another floor where they do actual full massages. If want to be pampered...you want to check this place out for reallz. read more

Made an appointment to get my hair done for a pre-wedding day trial. Called and told them I was going to be late and they said it was ok on the phone. I drove and hour and a half because this is close to where my venue is for them to tell me when I get there that they don't have time to do a simple up do. They lost out on two appointments from me alone as well as two tips and possibly four other appointments I would have tacked on if they did a good job with my hair. Would NOT recommend! read more

Having gone here for years my wife and I always looked forward to a pampering experience. Recently due to a string of medical issues whereby it's dangerous to drive we have had to cancel our appt. Wife is visually impaired and I have diabetes so when my numbers get high or low it's unsafe to drive. Face the day would rather have me endanger my life and everybody else's life to get to an appointment, and now want to take a credit card to charge for the appointment. Some days are better than others and can't tell from one day to the next what is going to happen. I refuse to provide a cc and then if I have an issue get charged for two pedicures and not being able to come. I guess our previous patronage means nothing. Would not recommend nor will we return. Not very accommodating or tolerant to those with medical conditions. read more

Horrible communication not only with my hair cut but the color as well! A quarter of an inch turned into a good 3.5 inches! My color was extremely brassy, she put a third toner on it but did not have time to dry it. After drying, at home, it's a brassy disaster. I was told I could come back when she had time... I went to get my hair colored a specific look today and walked out with my hair looking exactly the same as when I went in. She colored my hair first, shampooed it and when I sat back down in the stylist chair with a wet head and a towel she told me she did not have the time to cut or blow dry my hair. I told her that was the whole reason I came here to have it colored' cut and styled. I haven't had a hair cut since covid started. After that another lady came to me and told me they couldn't cut or blow dry my hair at this point I was getting upset now a third lady came and told me the same thing. I took off my cape and proceeded to just leave the manager stopped me at the elevator and told me that they didn't have the time for me and she wanted me to pay. At this point I am standing by the elevator with my head soak and wet and not brushed just wanting to leave the manager insisted I pay I was so upset as I watch my hair stylist grab her other client and proceeded to take care of her. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN!!! My hair color also looks exactly the same as when I first showed up no change at all. If your gonna run a business then you need to take care of your client's properly. I wish there was a way to post before and after because my hair turned out nothing how I wanted it. read more

Had a facial and eyebrow wax. I came in and was immediately greeted and given a cup of hot tea. Within five minutes my tech came and got me we went upstairs by an elevator I changed into my room and the facial began. What a great surprise to get a hand and a foot massage at the same time included in the price I've been got my eyebrows waxed and they've never looked better. I've been going to this salon for about a year now. I left a previous review raving about it. Unfortunately things have went down hill. I still love the spa side. Lisa is a wonderful masseuse. But I wouldn't recommend having your hair done here, especially when it comes to coloring your hair. Marie is who I had, she was very sloppy. She got hair dye all over my forehead, I even had to ask her to clean it off of me. I had to come back and have it redone. She also didn't provide the Aveda experience with my hair service. When it came to the end of my service, Marie told me she was done. I asked to speak to Mrs. Dotty (owner) and never received a response. This bothered me considerably because being a regular customer I'd expect she would care enough to at the very least offer an apology. read more

This place is a complete monstrosity. I haven't even walked through the door yet. I have been trying to use a giftcard my dad gave me and my fiance as a Christmas gift for over a year! This place tell you to call (the ONLY way to make reservations with their rude staff by the eay, good luck) to call 1 -2 weeks out for reservations. I've lost count how many times ive tried to get into this place. I will never go here or recommend anyone going to. Their first time "they didn't have enough ladies" for me and my fiance to get a couple massage, so, we tried to change our services, they were booked. I don't understand how your supposed to make a reservation 2 weeks put when I call and ask my any of my days available all MONTH and there's nothing. That's unexceptable. If your that understaffed, hire new employees. This place would have to baffle me out of this world to make me refer anyone here. I've already deterred people from coming based on my personal experiences alone. Maybe if your ladies anwsering the phone would be polite or more helpful, or heck I don't know hire more people not just 1 person for each job. Or don't offer your basic packages unless your prepared to sell them. They will also try to talk you put of the service you want to fit the onnnee appointment they have open, no I don't want to pay extra for a seaweed exfoliat when I know what I want. Highly upset with this place. Words can't really even fathom. Good things giftcard never expire. Or they'd be getting off on EVERYONE who buys them. I couldn't have chosen a more calming and inviting place for a mother daughter birthday spa day. Ashley did an amazing job on my daughter's hair. The partial foil was the perfect way to introduce blonde into her dark brown color. Gradual change is the way to go. Lisa J performed the best facial I have ever had. Love the soothing, plant based Aveda products. Nichol was the perfect nail tech to give me a mani and my first spa pedi. My nails are gorgeous. The extra toches are well worth the visit and experience alone. I have never experienced a salon spa that treats you like you are family. We will definitely be back. read more
