I've been going to Face Magic for a few years. Everything about the experience is always 5 stars. It is a small family owned business with 3 employees who are absolute pros at what they do. Keyana, who runs the front desk and the phones is lovely. She is professional and so kind. I usually go to Manuel for my facials. He is knowledgeable and very good at what he does. All of the products smell so good and I feel like a million bucks when I leave. I use several of their products and have had great results. This business is a treasure. read more

Lynne gave me the best facial I've ever had! I've been to a few places before and haven't been back to the same place twice, but I will absolutely go back to Face Magic! My fiance and I wanted pre-wedding facials and he found Face Magic and we both made appointments and saw Lynne. Such a delightful treat to find this space walking distance from home! Surprised to hear they opened at 9am, I was able to snag a last min appt for a wax on a Saturday morning. Let me start off by saying... almost my whole family comes to face magic and sees Manuel (he's that much amazing). I've been coming here since January 2015 and before my treatments I have had difficulties dealing with my acne. I've tried so many different products, such as proactive, nerium, chanel, etc and nothing seem to help me until I started coming to see Manuel and using Face Magic's products. My very first treatment with him, he automatically told me, he could help me better my skin as long as I did my "homework" (changing my pillow sheets twice a week, exfoliated twice a week, cleanse my face, etc) and it would only take about 6 months. I was so incredibly happy to hear that good news and finally had hope that I would have clear skin again. I enjoyed and looked forward to my appointments, it was like my me-time and a perfect way for me to relax, felt like my "spa days". Within about 3 months is when I started to see improvement in my skin, then a couple months later as Manuel said, it would take 6 months.. Oh boy, was he absolutely right!!!! My skin looks fabulous at this point and I'm still continuing to see him but not on a monthly basis anymore, more like every other month or as needed. I've gotten so many compliments on how much better my skin looks. It just makes me feel so much better about myself and I'm very very satisfied with all the treatments I've had. Yessssss, it is very pricey with treatments plus products so you have to be willing to spend the money but you get what you pay for and I sure did! :) I most definitely recommend Face Magic and Manuel to everyone who asks me about my skin. I just had a Signature Facial with Manuel, and couldn't be happier. My skin looks and feels great, and the experience was relaxing and educational. I wanted to learn more about how to take care of my aging and sun-damaged skin, and I really appreciated how Manuel explained what he was doing during the facial, and also how I could take care of my skin in between visits. He recommended a couple of products that I could integrate with what I've already been doing, and I was glad that he didn't try to oversell me on services and products. Face Magic is not like any other facial salon. The owners and staff have created a welcoming, peaceful and warm ambiance. As soon as you walk in the door you feel more relaxed. The facial treatments are more than just getting a boost for your skin, they are "whole person" treatments and they are fantastic. I agree with another reviewer, the name is well chosen because they do add a bit of "magic" to the whole experience. I live in Hayward and it's worth either the drive, or a BART ride to go there. I love that their many of their FM products are made locally, from herbs and natural/organic ingredients. I always feel happy when I leave FM and my skin is happy/glowing for days. They can also mail order any of their products so if I am out of something can just give them a call. They often have promotions so it's worth getting on their email list. On a trip to Northern California my friend treated me to a facial by Lynne. OMG-- to say that it was amazing is an understatement! Lynn has magic hands. What I got was way better than any facial I've had in Los Angeles or elsewhere. Besides being a skin care genius, she knows pressure points - - and worked on my arm and hand to relieve a headache. Prior to finding Lynne at Face Magic (more than 5 years ago), I had tried several places for facials but rarely found it to be a very satisfying experience. After a facial with Lynne, I always feel glad that I did it. She can recommend specific treatments or do a standard facial. She uses wonderful products and applies them carefully - checking in with me if a certain treatment might be a bit uncomfortable. She does have a wonderful ability to apply the right amount of pressure to the massage part of the faciaI and it always feels like a treat. I am continually impressed by how good she is at what she does. I also buy skin products from her. She is very thoughtful about what to recommend and explains in detail (if you want it)how to use the products.
