I started seeing Lana in November 2025. At 23 I was still experiencing many stubborn breakouts, I felt like I had tried everything and was pretty much at my wits end with my face. After being referred me to Lana I was pleased to learn she was located in Pinole and had been in business for 20+ years. (I was referred by a 20+ year client) After my first facial my face had NEVER felt so clean and clear in my life, not to mention I felt completely relaxed and very bougie. As much as everyone wants to give lots of stars and good feedback on services, we have to be honest in hopes that services improves. I, for all my dollars, like good service as well as services. I paid $200 for lashes for my wedding. I went here as a recommendation from my sister who frequented this establishment pre pandemic. However, this was my first time and my sister and cousin both had appointments following mines. All of us getting ready for my destination wedding and proceeding cruise. Soooooo, we went in person to make the appointments, put out $100 deposits down and I was first up 3/26/23. Now, I wanna say this is no where near my first time getting lash extensions. So, I knew what to expect and the hype man Brian made it very clear that this technician was A1 professional and teaches all other techs. She's the GOAT. Ok. This sums it up because I am already over typing this review, lol: 1. A star for the cleanliness and sheer chicness of the shop. 2. For my azz not being blind right now! Miss professor didn't use enough tape so I burned from glue from the first lash. So when you wince from the glue fumes then my eyes water then I shut up lids tight instinctively and then my old thin lid skin is pinched over and over again. I had to put healing ointment on them for days. So, after about 100 minutes, I am done. Blinking 100 times and I see lashes. Yes, pretty. Lots of them. I'm satisfied and convincing myself that the stinging will subside however it didn't. And from the next day to today I am still dealing with stinging and occasional aches are still there. There hasn't been a day since this install that I have not been reminded that they are attached to my face. AND NOT IN A FLATTERING WAY As much as these thangs blow in the wind, they sting, they fall out in clumps, I dig hard dried glue off my lid and corner of my eyes. Please if anyone that has a quality lash tech to recommend please do. I was actually considering going back for micro blading however since this healing process has been what it has been especially since there shouldn't have been one anyway.... I will never go back there. My sister and cousin have the same experience. We too old, work too hard, and have sh*t to do. The funny thing is that the tech was like she doesn't do refills. So, all 3 of us were taken a back.... and now I truly believe she has that policy because I am not going to have any natural lashes left to add extensions to. Last thing I will say- these are the cheapest lashes, hard plastic. That's why I am thankful for being able to survive this, one these things fall in my eyes and I will cut my eyeball open. read more

This place is amazing! I had a sun mark/age mark on my face that I could not get rid of. I tried every cream possible. Cheap creams and really expensive ones, I went out of the country for treatments and lasers and NOTHING worked, until I went to Lana Yu. I trusted her from the beginning, the treatment and service I get here is superb, spectacular! Here is what I wrote on the feedback page at Harmony's website: Sorry, Dr Sandu. I get Botox every late August and it lasts through the holidays. Your first injection did not do much, I went for a second one - at additional cost, of course - and there still is a pronounced line on the left side. And while one can say, well, you are getting older and not all lines can be eradicated for ever - that is just not the reason here: I clearly can completely frown and grimace, whereas I could not do so after previous injections at other clinics including at Kaiser! Either your "Botox" is not Botox, or it is inferior or you are not injecting as much as you say you do. Under no circumstances should I, after having been injected twice, still be able to frown easily! The line on the left should be much more eradicated. read more

Harmony Beauty Spa has now called me twice to cancel my appointment within 24hrs of my appointment time. They have not offered any reasoning other than, "Sorry the doctor cannot make it in". In addition to that, the doctor only is able to see patients two days per week--then doesn't show on those days (as described above). I myself work in a healthcare setting and completely understand that this is not the way to run a business and definitely not how you retain customers. I use to go here for eyelash extensions. I forgot who I use to get them done by but either way she did a great job. I came from another place that damaged my eyelashes. Found this place and quickly she saved my lashes. I no longer get my lashes done though. One day my mom and I was searching for places near by who did eyebrow tattooing. We didn't trust just any tattoo shop. We wanted a professional beauty tattoo artist. We searched and searched. Did our research and came across this place. Took our chances and so glad we didn't do wrong. My mom got micro blading and I got the ombré powder. Anna also fixed my mom's eyeliner tattoo from an old artist year back. As I also got my eyeliner shaped and designed by Anna. We both HIGHLY recommend this place, especially Anna. With semi permanent makeup getting ready in the mornings has been a breeze. I won't return here - EVER!!! Sooo, I used to love this place- not necessarily the customer service BUT leaving the spa with BOMB lashes. In fact I was addicted since I first came November 2017- new lashes every 3 weeks and planned to continue this forever (do the math- that's thousands over time ). However, my last appt left a sour taste in my mouth, and helped make her decision to stop coming here: 1. Inconsistent education/training: thank God for my friend she told me how to take care of my lashes, what products to buy, not to expose it to water the first 24hrs, that it's best to let lashes fall out naturally then have them removed... but I'm paying this business for that education. It wasn't until my third appointment that I received literature on the product I purchased (eyelashes) and was told how to care for them etc.:.ALSO, I didn't receive the spoolie brush the first time I came here . They should do a better job providing consistent information, making sure you receive items at check out, and when they have a new customer they should ALWAYS ask if it's their first time and provide an overview 2. No referral incentive: i was referred by a friend (she referred quite a few individuals) and then I referred 2 additional Family members- quite a lot of new customers BUT they never offered my friend (nor I) an incentive/discount for referrals which is offered by most beauty salons (nail spas, hair salons etc..) no acknowledgment or thanks for an additional 300-600 each month from new clients 3. Time: always late for my appointments . It's been months since they were on time ( it since I had ANNA) . Last time they were 45 minutes late, the time before that 50min which is disrespectful and unprofessional ... a few times they had to call the lady/co-owner because she wasn't there yet and was at her house. Or damn- offer me some tea/water while I adjust my schedule because you're late ! 4. Tech inefficient: seems recently they made up grades to their equipment, but it's so old / annoying that they relied on paper appointment books and not a compute system to schedule appointments .. which means they personally call each week to confirm you're appointment and if you don't answer / return call then your appointment is cancelled . If they had an automatic system they can send non invasive reminders via e-mail for you to confirm. I hated receiving multiple calls and texts from them 5. Interruptions. : so I switched to Lana in January and each time I had an appointment with her wed be late AND staff would constantly interrupt her which didn't provide a spa-like/beauty treatment feeling. I hate interruptions (its startling) especially when you're working on sensitive areas like my eyes AND when you're already late for my appointment , it just adds more time 6. Customer service: so my last appointment was right Lily( very kind) and I was debating taking a break from lashes (1 month) and was concerned my lashes were non existent . I wanted someone to tell how my lashes were doing to help me make an i formed choice on whether to take a break and she seemed confused. So Lana was called in and I didn't appreciate her condescending/standoffish tone . I felt cornered like I was in the wrong for suggesting a break or asking to see my lashes. Suffice to say, I hated the body language, tone , and over all feeling from her the last time. She questioned my decisions, told me most customers don't take breaks, and if I close my eyes I should be able to see my lashes ... it seemed a hassle for them to take pictures of my lashes and she kept commenting about my phone etc..: and in that moment I made the decision to have them remove the lashes so i don't have to come back here.l and feel uncomfortable Oh by the way- I have 0 lashes after they removed them read more

I have been with Lana, the esthetician and owner for a long long time. Everybody compliments me on my skin being firm and delicate for my age. I was recently in Poland and received similar compliments. With her I feel much more confident of my look. Lana has always been a hard working person who puts quality of her work above everything else and would not mind putting in extra time to make it perfect. She is always on time. Got my first set of eyelash extensions done here by April. The spa was on the LEFT side of the street (although my Yelp app told me that it was on the right). I arrived for my appointment on the dot at 7pm (their closing time), and after a minute April came to the front door and let me in because the front door was already locked. She offered me some water and kindly asked me to wait. The spa has a nice look, comfy animal print chairs, Elle and Glamour magazines, and soft relaxing music coming from the hallway. April started my lashes around 7:30pm and we finished at 9pm. I'm glad she asked if I needed to use the restroom before beginning. She asked if I want a natural look, but I saw the lashed up lady who walked out before I walked in-- I asked April for the full look! She sure did put a lot of lashes on my eyes! I was so relaxed during the application, I dozed in and out of sleep a few times. After I opened my eyes, they welled up from the stinging, which April said was normal. She fanned my eyes with a magazine for a minute before I got up. Pain is beauty, indeed. Overall I'm happy with my visit. Fortunately, the receptionist was very helpful and explained the whole process so I was better able to choose which option worked best for me. I ended up getting the full set, done by Anna. I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and they made sure it was a comfortable experience (it's takes about 60-90 mins, so prepare for that) Anna did an amazing job! Had a facial and a massage here yesterday with a Groupon. They would not let me use the Yelp Check-In reward of a free eyebrow wax because I was using a Groupon. The place is very clean and pleasant -- although it's nondescript on the outside, it's quite nice and comfy inside. The woman who did my massage, Margarita, talked nonstop during the massage but she was pretty good. But the woman doing my facial (Irene, she called herself?) did not know anything about the products the salon uses. At each step of my facial I asked, "what is this, what brand is this?" etc. and she had no answers. "I don't know" or "It's xxxxx brand, it is very natural" @@ So ... I wish I could afford to go to Piedmont Springs for facials and massages more often, but since I can't, this place is okay in a pinch. read more

I had an appointment today with the very sweet Miranda for a full set of Eyelash Extensions. Luckily they were able fit me in the same day I called & I was seen right away, with no wait time. I first went to Harmony Spa after buying at discount voucher from Amazon Local. I was very pleased with both the deal I got online but more importantly with the service from Miranda! I wasn't sure how I'd be treated as I was a customer using a voucher versus a customer paying full price. I was pleasantly surprised that I was treated very well from each of the staff I encountered especially by Miranda. She was warm & very friendly and explained the steps as we went along so I knew what to expect. The room was where the services were rendered was clean & very calming with soothing music playing in the background for a relaxing experience. When I got there Frank and Lana were really friendly. Frank made me tea, that was so good. Then I went in for my peel which took about 30 minutes. Unlike most places. After your peel, the esthetician gave me a hydrating mask. Which felt amazing after the burn. Ladies if you're thinking about getting a peel, you will go through an ugly phase, my face was covered in burn marks. I was really starting to freak out. Unfortunately ladies, do a little more research before going to this place for LASHES. As enticing as this place may seem they are over priced, use poor quality lashes, and performance in eyelash application is amateur. Let's explain. I came in for my first full set, excited because of all the great reviews on yelp, and they gave me a discount $129 instead of the full price (1 positive, and she's nice). Another good thing is that they actually listen to how dramatic you like your lashes, and how long of a lash you prefer. However, my eyes were burning the entire time during the process. It felt as if she had accidentally placed the tape too high into my eye. I was tearing the whole time. When I finally opened my eyes, I felt like I could not see because of how irritated my eyes were from the adhesive. I will admit that my lashes did look precisely as I had wished, they looked good. I decided to give this place a second try and got my fills. DISASTER. They didn't listen to what I wanted, they said yes yes I remember how you like it even when I tried explaining how I wanted my lashes. They were too long and too dramatic. And once again my eyes were burning from the application process. ( this isn't suppose to happen!) My lashes did not suit my face shape, it looked very fake. Unfortunately... these lashes do not last long. they start twisting and turning upside down within the first week even if you take great precaution. Another problem is that the type of lash is actually cheap, and the adhesive used will literally remove your lashes. I now have a BALD SPOT on eyes =( Luckily I found a great lady in the roseville area, kelley, that has enlightened me and fixed my lashes. (NO BURNING SENSATION!) IN SHORT.. 1. your eyes shouldn't burn through the process. 2. the lashes shouldn't be pulling your natural lashes off with them. 3. the lashes they applied clumped 2 sometimes 3 false lashes onto one natural lash. terrible! 4. cheap lash product, with a ball at the tip. 5. not very professional application process, they didn't use a membrane afterwards to protect your adhesive. 6. they got stuff stuck in my eye. FIND A BETTER PLACE FOR YOUR LASHES LADIES, DON'T BE FOOLED. OVERPRICED, and JUST HUNGRY FOR MONEY. read more

I had a horrible experience at Harmony Beauty Spa in Pinole; I was assured by the doctor that he was giving me 24 units of Botox but then when he wrote the receipt he wrote 60 units of Dysport; I din't notice that until 4 hours later when I looked at the receipt, by then I was feeling a little light headed and sick; I went back to the spa and demanded an explanation but I couldn't get anywhere with the manager, so I asked to have the doctor call me; he did call me and to my surprise he told me he had given me Dysport (when I had requested Botox) because he is not carrying Botox anymore. He gave me something that I didn't ask for and I consider that a serious violation between a doctor and a patient. That place doesn't carry Botox, please be aware of that read more

My coworker recommended Harmony Beauty Spa to me a while ago. Now, I don't cheat on my esthetician.....shout out to Paula at Beauty Unlimited in Alameda! However, my pops has been looking for a cosmetologist to have his age spots removed through laser treatment. HBS is not too far from his home and since my coworker is a regular there, we made an appointment for a consultation just to check it out. Annie was very accommodating and made honest suggestions. She comes off as a very experienced esthetician. Pops decided to have the treatment done same day. He had a lot of age spots on his face and neck. Annie removed them for him and it took about 30 min. While I was waiting in the lobby area, I ran into another coworker of mine. I suppose this place is quite popular. After the treatment was completed, Pops paid and we went on our way. As far as ambiance goes, HBS is tranquil and welcoming. The spa looks clean and it's definitely a busy business. While I was there, many clients who appear to be regulars came in for various appointments ranging from facials, massages, eyelash treatments, etc. Looks like a great spa to go to if you're in need of some papering! read more

I wanted to try a place near my house so I found this place through Yelp. The reviews weren't bad so I scheduled an appointment through the link on Yelp. I scheduled my appointment for 10 a.m which I showed up for on time. As I checked in the receptionist did not find my appointment logged so she tried calling one of the masseuses and didn't get an answer. She later called the owner to see how to handle the matter and didn't get a response. I waited for half an hour being that I was really looking forward to my massage. I also noticed that there was another customer who got there on time and her technician was still not there so she had to wait 10 min. It seems to be unorganized and time management isn't their priority. One thing I will say is that the receptionist did try her best to get accommodate me but it was totally out of her hands. read more

The 2 star come strictly for Anne who did my eyebrows. She did a good job and I was happy with them. Now returning to a place as a customer has a lot more to do than thw service rendered. I honestly just believe this place is ridiculously overpriced. Eye brow was alone is $18 and lip wax is a $10 thats a whopping $28 for lips and brows. Thats expensive! Luckily for me i bought a yelp coupon for $8 dollars as a first time customer. I believe this was an honest mistake but at checkout they charged me $18. $10 for the lip and $8 for eyebrows. I paid, tipped Anne and left. Quickly realizing I have already paid $8 for the wax on line and being chaged at the spa again. I went in and they quickly resolved it. I believe the owner came out and looked at my phone ( for coupon) said something along the lines of your getting your money, and as she had her back to me walking away said I hope you had a great experience. Not the best customer service, a bit rude some may say. It really wasnt about the $8, buy I dont think ill be coming back. read more
