Second, I'm just uncertain about anything cosmetic that needs maintenance. I don't do a lot of maintenance especially since I'm home a lot. Lori makes it a fun time to go and get my fills. She accommodates my requests, listens to things that might be uncomfortable, and is efficient. She'll take longer if needed, but doesn't seem to be struggling or taking unnecessary time either! At the end of my appointment when I realized I did not get the look/feel I asked for, I specifically asked if corrections could be made, including adding the longer, fuller lashes I had originally wanted. I was told that could not be done. At that point, I believed the problem was purely cosmetic. It wasn't until I sought a second opinion that I learned there were much more serious concerns. The technician who evaluated my lashes found significant issues with the isolation and adhesive application. The lashes could not be corrected or filled--they had to be completely removed less than 24 hours after getting them on. The amount of adhesive used required an extreme amount of chemical remover, and the technician documented the condition of the lashes with photographs. Based on what she observed, she advised me to request a refund due to the glue being "cemented" on, poor isolation techniques, and large chunks of glue being left on. What I find most concerning is that despite contacting Lori almost immediately, despite having the lashes on for less than 24 hours, despite needing a full removal, and despite documented concerns from another professional, I was still denied a refund. Once another professional assessed the work, it became clear the lashes needed to be removed entirely rather than "fixed." No client should have to pay for a service, then pay another professional to completely remove that service less than a day later because of concerns with the application. Mistakes happen, but refusing to take responsibility when those mistakes are brought to your attention is what ultimately prompted me to leave this review. I cannot recommend this business based on my experience.

I booked an appointment for Friday, June 12th and received a text confirmation for 12:30pm. When I called that morning to ask about coming in early, I was told I had no appointment on June 12th -- that I had been booked under an old profile and phone number for June 11th, and that I owed $150 for a missed appointment I never knew I had. I showed my text confirmation clearly dated June 12th. I was told it didn't matter. The error was made by the salon -- a new front desk employee used an outdated profile, so I never received accurate confirmation details. I have documented proof of this. Despite that, the charge was not reversed and the situation was not corrected. I also want to be honest about something I've noticed over time: concerns I raise as a Black client in Carmel tend to be handled differently than those of white clients. I'm not saying this to be inflammatory -- I'm saying it because it's my lived experience, and I think it's worth naming. I have no intention of leaving this city or this salon lightly, but I do expect to be treated with the same respect, accountability, and good faith extended to everyone else. This appointment mattered. I had a gala the next day. I came prepared with proof. I was dismissed anyway. That's not acceptable, and I hope the salon takes a serious look at how client concerns are being addressed.

In addition to that, I have a small scar on my left eye that makes a lot of those lashes a bit unruly. When I first called Lash Therapy I was very nervous about getting my lashes done. Jared patiently answered all my questions. He said the eyelash extensions would be 'life changing', that I'd 'wake up every day feeling beautiful.' I wasn't sure about that, but decided to give them a try. I am SO glad I did. I honestly could not believe the difference they made! Jared was right, they are life changing in a way. Instead of looking in the mirror and seeing all the flaws, I can now look in the mirror and be thrilled with the way my eyes look. It brightens up my whole face and I can't help but smile. It's so great to see wake up and not feel like I have to put on makeup. Most days I just add some lipgloss and I'm ready to go. You might be hesitant like I was, but I encourage you to give it a try. They are soooo worth it! I can't write a review and not mention how wonderful Jayme and Jared are. They run their business with very high integrity and amazing customer service. When I moved to Indiana I did major research to find a lash artist that did russian volume. I am always very picky about who I chose to make me look and feel great, from hair, nails and now lashes. I did my research and the only person I felt most comfortable with and trusted was Maria. First off she's passionate about what she's doing and you can tell it makes her feel good when you feel good about her work. Second, her work speaks volumes (pun intended). Lash retention is an important factor and I had to go a bit longer than usual in between fills my first time getting it done with her, and it was GREAT. Third, in order for me to have retained my lashes for this long was also due to her educating me on how to care for them! All this aligns with someone who is going to take care of you and knows what they are doing. I used to get super long lashes and my lash girls never REALLY told me the importance of caring for them and how to do so until Maria. We discussed the best length and curl for my eyes and health of my lashes, in the end I am 10x more satisfied because she took the time to walk me through it and help me understand. He is autistic and nonverbal, and sensory experiences can be very challenging for him. The technician was absolutely incredible. She was so gentle, patient, and intuitive. Before doing anything, she would show him first: she put lotion on her own arm and let him touch it, then slowly introduced it to him. She tested the temperature of the warm towel on his wrist so he could feel it safely before wrapping his legs with it. She narrated each step in such a calm and reassuring way. She never rushed him and followed his comfort level the entire time. Because of her approach, he was able to stay calm and relaxed throughout the experience, which is a huge milestone for us. I had also asked for paraffin for my feet. The guy doing my nails must've been new because the paraffin was too hot and actually uncomfortable (i love heat). Luckily i didn't have any burns. My pedicure was mediocre at best. My toe nails are different shapes and he didn't actually get the ingrowns out. Getting my nails done was a whole other problem. He couldn't find the color I had wanted (so asked me to get it... not a problem.. but i walked to the front in those flimsy flip flops with wet nails and baggy pants and almost ruined my pedicure) and then when i showed him the color grabbed the wrong one. My nails were streaky despite it being gel and quite literally the next day were ruined (see pictures), My friend had a similar experience. Definitely won't be going back. Pretty bummed about our experience
