I've seen three different estheticians, and each has done a great job. The membership gives you a monthly perk, which sometimes is a small product, but other times is an actual add-on. I find the facials very thorough and relaxing, with neck/shoulder massages to start and finish. Others have commented on the layout not being private rooms. This doesn't bother me - I go for the benefits of the services more than the atmosphere. It hasn't been very noisy the times I've been there, even with multiple clients. One thing I appreciate is that even though they always recommend products, they don't pressure you to buy them. The front desk staff has always been great, especially when I stopped by before I booked my first facial to ask some questions. When I arrived at 12:25 she greeted me at the door and immediately took me to the facial room. Her consultation was very quick and brief. We began the facial at 12:35 and she was finished by 1:22 so I did not receive a full hour facial. Any skin issues I mentioned to her she just repeated back to me when she was examining my face. I would've liked if she had walked me through the facial process step by step. Everything she put on my face was a mystery. The massage wasn't the most relaxing. My neck was tense the entire time. And while masking I just laid under the infrared light while she sat behind me silently. Almost every facial I've had elsewhere I have received a hand or scalp massage while I masked. Also the music was absolutely horrid. It was not relaxing spa music. It was more like boppy coffee shop music during the entire service. My face felt a bit tight afterwards and Jessica did not give me any product recommendations which bummed me out because I was really hoping to take something new home. Being in this industry myself this was not how I would've given the service. Overall I would not go here again.

While it's marketed as a quick, trendy facial bar, it ended up being very expensive for what you get, not relaxing, and overall pretty gimmicky. I added a "tech neck massage" and an oxygen facial, which drove up the cost. The massage was 3 minutes AND was part of my 30 minute service, it did not extend it despite it being an additional $15 for each add on. I had heard about their $35 first facial promo using the code "virgin," which in hindsight should've been my first red flag. Real original first time user promo code, I hate the try-hard edginess of it all. During the appointment, the upselling was constant. Products, memberships, add-ons, it never really stopped. And again, this is on me. I did cave and ended up purchasing both a membership and a product. Very loud music + overdone neon signs. I didn't find it enjoyable or worth the cost. I ended up spending around $200 after add-ons and products, some of which I didn't even receive and had to call about later to get refunded. Overall, felt more like a rushed retail transaction than a spa service. The open-concept layout offers no privacy, and the space itself felt worn and not particularly clean. Chicago winters are messy, but the salt and slush made the floors look dull and chalky, and the chaise lounges were visibly worn with exposed inner material. That said, I can see how this model might appeal to a different audience. For example, I think it could actually be a fun option for a tween birthday party. The quick service, energetic atmosphere, and shorter treatments might suit that demographic well. I don't mean that negatively. She politely explained what each step was meant to do to my skin and the studio itself felt very clean and modern. My problem came after the appointment. The owner came out to sell me her "Acne Boot Camp" program and skincare line, which I declined because it was out of my budget and I explained that I already had products prescribed to me by my dermatologist. Upon eyeing my face (which was covered in hormonal acne at the time) she judgmentally said, "Well, clearly it's not working." I never went back. And, since following my dermatologist's advice, my skin has cleared up a LOT. I use tretinoin which is a very common treatment for acne but one of its side effects is skin purging; which to her looked like "clearly not working." I know this review is quite late, but I just remember leaving the appointment so embarrassed and frustrated. Acne is a sensitive topic for a lot of people--which is why I treated myself to a facial! I know it's not easy to run a business, but there is no justification for such behavior. And you won't be able to find me in your database under this name. My appointment was on (1/31/2024). Best of luck with everything, you have talented staff and I hope my experience was just a one-off issue.
