Ok, so I was excited for a date night with my wife, but I think they might've forgotten to install a "quiet" setting here. The atmosphere is like a karaoke night that got out of hand. At first, I thought they were just playing some ambient background tunes, but no, it's more like they're competing for the loudest venue in town. I swear I could hear the shrimp on my plate screaming for mercy. Great food, though--if you can hear it over the noise.

Lobster Linguine

My family came here for Mother's Day to treat my mom to dinner. This area of queens has a lot of restaurants to choose from. Parking is a challenge so make sure you arrive early to give yourself enough time to find parking. The restaurant is small but beautifully decorated. I had looked up there menu online and I was excited to try a few dishes but unfortunately I couldn't because since it was Mother's day and they had a special menu that didn't include the dishes I wanted to try. My mother had the salmon dish and she loved it. The only complaint was that the portion size was too small. I had the lobster with pasta. The pasta was delicious but the lobster had no flavor at all. All they did was drizzle the pasta sauce on it. There was no seasoning. My brother had the filet mignon. He said it was okay. The filet was just a little overdone on the outside. The drinks were good. The only mishap was our server didn't know the difference between wines. My mother ordered red and was brought some type of white wine but she's the sweetest so she just kept it. We ordered the molten lava chocolate cake for dessert. It was delicious and came with ice cream. We were able to give my mom a cute little photoshoot. She really enjoyed herself which was the most important. I would give this restaurant another shot. I want to try their regular menu.

They need to serve cooked duck with these portions and prices.

Sweet servers and delightfully tacky room with an enormous amount of fake Flora. Portions are absolutely miniscule, so don't show up hungry.

The decor is very insta- gramable lots of flowers and up lighting. What sealed the vibe was the music. They played Latin music but of course but they played all kinds which was nice. Some Selena, to classics like Frankie Ruiz I had my own concert at my seat. The drinks were so cute and inventive. Just go to their site to see. The food menus was slim but they had at least one chicken, fish, pasta and two steak options. For appetizer we had sushi with rick shrimp and it had platano mauduros in it. The presentation was 10/10. For dinner we got the skirt steak for $36 which came with some steak fries and Brussel sprouts, we shared it as it was more than enough for two people. Overall experience was 10/10. The two cons was the parking or lack of and it's very tiny inside. But don't let that deter you, go early to find a spot and make a reservation..

The ambience in here was super casual. I absolutely loved all the photo ops they had! Everything was covered with hearts and roses. It was just so incredibly beautiful. I started out with the bubble bath drink, it came in a bathtub with a floating, rubber duck and actual bubbles! So so cute. For appetizers we started with the afepitas and the MoFonguitos also added a side of yucca fries . Oh everything was extremely delicious. If you're looking for a fun date night or even just a cool birthday check this place out.

This place has a great vibe. I never knew about it until my friends suggested meeting here for dinner. It was decorated so nicely for the holidays. The service could've been a tad bit faster and better, but other than that, it was good. They had both a paper menu and a qr code to scan for the table. The cocktail that I ordered was really tasty, I had the strawberry gimlet. The food was good except for the Octopus, which was my main dish. I did enjoy the two rolls that we ordered. The dessert was good, too.

I'm gonna start off by saying Joe the bartender is seriously an amazing mixologist and I was server Robinson was phenomenal. This restaurant truly understands what good service is. The staff was very polite and it was consistent amongst all of their employees. We made a reservation same day. I admit there was a little bit of a wait. But that was OK as one of our members was running late as well. We were able to sit at the bar until our table is ready. Try the Espresso martini not listed on the menu. But there are several other cocktails available to try. Their brunch runs until 5 PM which is irregular In comparison to other places. But there's only three items. Although there was a true appetizer menu, we ordered the octopus and brought us to start. Both items were perfect. I've had over cooked octopus before, but this was cooked to perfection. Nicely chard, and not overly cooked. One of the specials was a lobster tail and filet mignon. But they allowed me to swap it out for skirt steak. The prices are very reasonable here. The space is small, but the Decour is so charming. For this season, they have a spooky clown themed decor Which I'm told changes each season. Certainly check this place out! I will be back

Salmon, mashed potatoes, asparagus

I came here with friends for happy hour and enjoyed my time. The frozen margaritas was your average margarita but still good. We started off with the guacamole with chips and it was delicious. I ordered the salmon which came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the skin was crispy, which I enjoyed! My friend ordered the Trigear-Fongo which she said was delightful. My bf ordered the Fabrika dragon roll but unfortunately was disappointed. The presentation was beautiful though! As for the service they were attentive and polite. The restaurant is small but beautifully decorated. The music was also not too loud so you can enjoy your stay conversing and jamming.

La Patrona: mezcal, fresh passion fruit, sour mix, mango syrup, simple syrup ...Delicious!

I was there a month ago with a friend for the first time and we were greatly surprised: from the decor, to the music, cocktails and food, this little cozy place is a hit! We order 4 kinds of sushi and all were amazing, also La Patrona cocktail very delicious; the service very kind and the restaurant very neat; nice music and decor make this one of the nicest restaurants in Jackson Heights right now. I highly recommend.

Quaint spot with a good crowd! I came to Fabrika on a Friday evening in July to celebrate some friends' birthday. I had never heard of the establishment before but saw great things via social media, so I was excited to try it out. Fabrika is a lively, casual, Latin fusion restaurant within a very small space. From the photos online, I had visualized a bigger setup but when we arrived, it was tight. Cozy and cute, but small. No big deal, but please keep that in mind. The decor however, is festive and artistic. Its dimly lit with beautiful artwork on the walls and ceiling. There was also a photo-op by the entrance featuring a swing (it is not movable). Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted but we waited some time before being seated. This was not on the restaurant's part, but rather the birthday guests were fashionably late. As mentioned, it is a small space. 3 of us arrived early but 2 of us had to wait outside because there was no more space at the bar and the area around it, is very tight. Between the staff walking back and forth, and customers inching to go to the bathroom, it isn't an ideal space to wait around. To compensate, there are some comfy seats outdoor and you can review the menu from a lighted display. Once our party was complete, we were seated within minutes. The menu features a nice variety of Latin cuisine favorites along with some Asian-inspired dishes like sushi rolls. We started with a shared plate of guacamole with tortilla chips and pork skin. It was delicious. I would have never imagined pairing fried pork skin with guacamole, but it was great. For my entree, I opted for the teriyaki salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus. The meal was underwhelming. The salmon was prepared well, specifically it was a great texture and the seasoning was ok. However, the mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes and the asparagus were measly. The meal left me wanting more, but not in a great way. I ended up ordering a side of yuca fries. They were hearty and came with a side of tasty chipotle aioli. Aside from shots, I did not have any specific drink. Since it was a birthday celebration, the staff was kind enough to help us celebrate. They came over with a big birthday sign and bubble making gun, along with a dessert. The dessert was plated so beautifully! It came on a boat with a small cake, vanilla ice cream, and some fresh fruit. Everything was delicious. The dessert was also big enough for all 6 of us to get a taste. In terms of service, all of the staff were sweet and attentive. They served us with a smile and always checked in. The vibe is pretty mature and upbeat. There was a great blend of Latin music playing and if you can grab a seat at the bar, you can watch a game. Pricing was also very reasonable for the area. Please bear in mind though, Fabrika is located in the heart of Jackson Heights. Parking was a nightmare. I had to park about 4 blocks away (12 minute) walk, just to find a spot. If you're able, take public transportation. It is not worth the hassle of driving around seeking a space. Overall, it was a good experience. 4 stars for great service and ambiance, but the food was not my favorite or something that would make me run to this place among others in the area. It is perfect for an after work meetup or date. I'd recommend but likely I would not be returning unless I was invited.

Burger with truffle fries

Fabrika truly exceeded my expectations on every level. I love the modern floral decor and the overall vibe. The music is definitely on the louder/energetic side but not obnoxious or deafening (and maybe I'm just old). :) They have an interesting cocktail menu and really make an effort with the presentation of their drinks and their food. Everything is beautifully presented in such a unique and fun way, which some places use as a tactic to compensate for medíocre food, but that's not the case at Fabrika. The food is truly delicious and really well executed. We loved the guacamole with fish roe and chicharrón, and the skirt steak was exceptional. My brother had the burger with truffle fries, which he enjoyed very much. I tried one of their fusion sushi rolls, which looked stunning and was fresh and tasty. The service was fantastic. Our server, Carlos, was so friendly and sweet and very attentive. I will definitely return to this place soon and look forward to trying more dishes.

Great atmosphere to celebrate a birthday (which is why my friends and I came here). Parking is terrible, but that's nothing new for this area. The inside is small but decorated nicely and it's dimly lit. I could see it being a nice date spot if it were a bit quieter. Presentation of the food is very good. Everything looks great when it's plated and comes out. Food is OK, I think the fun atmosphere is really the draw for this spot.

The second time, we had to deal with stupid bouncers or security guards before being let into their bar/pub. That's a huge turnoff for me, and it's only worth it for strip clubs and concerts. Sweet Afton is a hip Irish-style pub known for its craft cocktails, extensive beer selection, and upscale pub fare. It has a cozy interior with exposed brick and a sought-after outdoor garden area that is enclosed in the winter.  A few of their menu items include "Astoria's best burger" (using Pat LaFrieda beef), the Dirty Pickle Martini (featuring McClure's pickle juice), and beer-battered fried pickles. I learned that they have a sister pub called the Bonnie in Ditmars, which I have been to and had a great time. Last Saturday I came back for a third time. I was surprised at how things had changed; much more laid-back, with good customer service, good vibes, and one of the most delicious bar burgers I have ever eaten, with a side salad, in any pub or establishment in Queens. Furthermore, Sweet Afron had some nice alternatives to bear and larger, and I selected a cider instead. First, I was offered a sip, and then, upon my approval, a full glass of cider. In conclusion, I do plan to return!
