I initially booked my lash lift appointment through ClassPass. I turned up to my appointment only to be told that they didn't have the appointment in their system (even though I had gotten a confirmation email from ClassPass). The owner Fadia told me that everything is managed by her and that if I wanted an appointment I'd need to go online to their Vagaro page and reserve it there. So I went home and booked an appointment with Amber for a time slot later that day, to include the lash consultation and another appointment for the actual Lash Lift. I show up for my appointment which was booked through the site she requested, and the door is locked and no one is there. The phone is not being answered, and I wait around outside for 25 minutes before deciding that it wasn't worth it to wait any longer. As I'm getting into my car I get a call from the owner, saying she didn't hear the phone ring. She apologized for the inconvenience and told me that because no appointments were booked with Amber at the start of the day, Amber stayed home. Hence why she wasn't there for her appointment. Perhaps don't have same day time slots listed on your site if this is the case. Regardless, Fadia moved the appointments to a week later for me, while I was on the phone with her. For 9am and 9:15 am on Saturday. I receive several confirmations via both email and text. Well, Saturday morning rolls around and once again, the door is locked and no one is there. The phone goes straight to voicemail. In fact to this day (almost a month later) the salon has yet to return my call or email to explain and/or apologize, despite me leaving a voicemail and contacting Vagaro and ClassPass to have this resolved. This salon displayed such a level of unprofessionalism and truly wasted my time... and gas. Do better, Fab Beauty Bar, Fadia and Amber and treat your new clients with some level of respect. read more

I came in for a touch up to my blonde highlights after seeing her good reviews and now I'm wondering how she got those reviews. After over 4+ hours in her chair/sink (for a service that normally takes about 2 1/2 hours), she turned my hair orange in places and toned away my bright highlights. She agreed to fix it and I came back in. After another 2+hours (over 6 hours total), I had an orangey blonde ring of hair around my face (it's bad). She wanted to book a THIRD appointment to fix it, as it was around 9pm at this point. No thanks. Did I mention that she was rude? She insisted on toner that I didn't want. I told her that i like the look of bright blonde highlights and I have been getting my hair highlighted for about 15 years. I tried toner a couple of times and didn't like it. She insisted on using it and she did. She actually said that I was being "combative" when I questioned her insisting on toner and when I had said that I really didn't want it. When she asked where I was from and I said that I was from NY, she said "oh, that explains alot". Wow. Just wow. She actually tried to tell me that my hair turned orange because I had a baby 10 weeks ago and my hormones are not normalized yet (this is ridiculous, as there is ZERO connection-look it up). She took the foils out the second time I was in, saying that they weren't working due to my hormones. She rinsed my hair and literally slathered bleach on the front of my wet hair around my face (no foils). She said that using a higher developer on wet hair should work. She left me sitting with my head in her sink for over half an hour while she worked on another woman and checked my hair occasionally (my neck is killing me now). She rinsed again, then saw more orange and pit more bleach in that spot. It didnt work. I was texting my old stylist in NY what was going on and she said that this girl (Fadia) has no idea what she's doing. She let me know that you just don't bleach wet hair, she should have continued using foils, but under a dryer and low lights up front to balance out her brassiness. This is only some of it. She could not believe what was going on. When all was said and done, I left with my hair a complete mess and needing corrective coloring. Needless to say, I will go to someone that knows what they're doing to get this fixed. I definitely didn't want to risk Fadia doing any more damage to my hair. read more

Fadia let me come in with my groupon and gave me a gorgeous set of faux mink lashes. I could tell that she knew what she was doing because she got right to it and didn't slow down. When she was brushing through the lashes, she did pull out two of them because she got too close to the roots, and it hurt. Idk how she managed to do that, and lets be honest, shit happens. My lashes look great, I can run out of the door in 5 minutes and feel beautiful with no make up on. I've gotten so many compliments, and I love how full they look. She also made the time fly by being such a fun person to talk to. We chatted and laughed the entire time. She is a genuine human being with a great heart who loves what she does. Thank you so much for taking care of me Fadia! I would suggest one thing... That you bring your own blanket, or that Fadia has one on hand! It can get chilly when you're laying there! read more

I found Fadia on groupon. I must say, for the record, how glad I am to have stumbled upon her and I will tell you why... I moved to the Austin area almost four years ago but, admittedly, have been afraid to try a new stylist because I have been going to the same one for years back home. Additionally, I have not been very "adventurous" with my hair over the years. I have needed LOTS of encouragement to make changes in the past. I've gone to different salons in my area for maintenance hair cuts but never for coloring. However, my birthday is coming up and I'm taking a trip; I was getting desperate for an upgrade to my balayage I had done six months ago! Upon meeting Fadia, I felt instantly comfortable with her. She was very sincere and professional but also laid back and up front. We basically chatted the whole time like we were old friends - I loved that! She listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and asked several questions I hadn't considered, making suggestions and giving explanations along the way. Long story short, I agreed to try her suggestions and go a little lighter with my balayage. Fadia absolutely nailed my color. She asked if I liked it or I loved it... DO NOT GO TO HER IF YOURE USING GROUPON! WORST EXPERIENCE She gets really salty if you go to her saying you have a groupon and you didn't read the very fine print. She was extremely rude and told me that the Groupon won't work with my hair and that she has bills to pay. She then said she wouldn't cut my hair because she thinks I'm going to write a bad review.. when it didn't even cross my mind but thanks fadia for the idea! Anyways I wouldn't have wrote the review if it wasn't for the horrible haircut she gave me. It is waaay shorter than I wanted and the bangs are all messed up.. im still embarrassed to show my hair even after a few months. I purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian blowout. I've had this done a few times before and being a mom and having a wedding week coming up I needed my hair to be easily styled. When I walked In she said it would be an extra $50 for hair passed the shoulders which mine barely is- pretty thin too. I knew she was taking advantage of me. Also- she stated that it may not work well, great! Not confident at all. So, fine.. at the end she insisted on a 20%tip many times. I'm a good tipper but let me decide. Fadia is like a hair magician because she worked magic on my hair and made it healthier looking and feeling after my balage treatment. She talked me out of some crazy color choices and explained the whole process through out the whole treatment. Horrible attitude. I wasn't in her chair 5 minutes, after Fadia learning I had a Groupon, she was checked out. She proceeded to tell me she doesn't accept Groupons on the weekends, even though I booked the appt thru Groupon, with the Groupon code. (Which I explained) She said, "it's going to be full price today". I told her, I can't do that, that's why I bought the Groupon. I told her that I was really looking forward to having my hair done, asked since I'm here and you already have the slot booked, will you work with me? She said, "not with that attitude. By the way you are going to hate me more and I don't care, I'm going to charge you half of the Groupon since I'm not doing your hair". She said, "Oh go ahead and write a bad review, everyone else does". She proceeded to say that she is recovering from the flu anyway. I thought, hmmm why would you say that? I don't want the flu. I left in disappointment, not planning on writing a review but when I got a notification from my credit card that within seconds, she was trying to charge my credit card $50.00 for 5 min of rude attitude. Fadia is fabulous! She gave me a full set of gorgeous, curly lashes and I walked out of her salon feeling like a million bucks:) I have never gotten so many compliments on my lashes before and I've gone to several salons throughout Austin, and worn lash extensions for over 3 years. Fadia did a great Brazilian Blowout on me awhile ago and I wish I would've remembered to write a review immediately after. I felt so comfortable with her knowledge and skill that I asked for an impromptu haircut also which turned out fabulous. I was even complimented for my haircut by another hairstylist some time later. Extremely unpleasant and awful experience! My wife went to this salon for a haircut using a Groupon voucher. First, $20 extra charge was demanded on top of the Groupon voucher (making it almost $50 for a haircut). My wife politely tried to negotiate but this apparently pissed off the lady of the salon. SHE CANCELED MY WIFE'S VOUCHER AND SAID I CAN NOT GIVE YOU SERVICE. This rude way of dealing with a customer is extremely disappointing. read more

After purchasing a groupon and making the appointment through her website, I went for low lights on a Fri morning, she tells me she won't accept groupons on Fri or Sat. I sure wish I would've known that, I would've went another day. She wasted my time, no apologizes and said she doesn't care. I told groupon, they refunded me and apologized but noticed she had the audacity to charge my credit card $50 without even asking and for what? How dare her. I never gave her my credit card. Most unprofessional hairdresser I have ever encountered. I'm wondering if the rave review are from her friends and family. I had a Groupon and booked an appointment. She rescheduled my appointment and then ran late and text she was running late on the reschedule. When we started the appointment. She informed me she was just putting in a few highlight on the crown and asked it I wanted upgrade. I declined and said I'd stick with the Groupon. Then she informed me that the toner was not included, I asked how much for the toner and she said she doesn't do highlights without the toner and it's $30. Attitude! I said fine for the toner. The she started hacking my hair dry. I said I had never had my hair cut dry before. She then started with her attitude again and said my hair was so damaged (it is not) and that it would be hard to comb out wet. (I'm not sure if she realized that after highlight, shampoo and deep conditioning that my hair would be wet and eventually she would have comb it out, I just kept my mouth shut). Then she stopped and said she didn't feel comfortable doing my hair today and that I could ask for a refund. I was really dumbfounded that anyone would be that unprofessional and still stay in business. Please, do now waste your time, there are good stylist out there that are competent and professional. read more
