In conjunction with a very healthy diet, lots of rest and 64+ ounces of water a day, I've seen significant improvements in my physique, energy levels and overall fitness level. What I like most about the gym itself is that it's very clean (well-maintained), spacious and very well laid out. One of the things that is noticeable upon entering the gym is the absence of the typical "gym smell". Meaning, the flooring and bumpers are either done off-gassing or Power Train has invested in higher quality products that don't off-gas. Also, the ventilation must be exceptional because it doesn't have a musty smell (even though there is plenty of sweat produced there). Whoever designed the layout of the workout areas did us all a favor by allowing for more than adequate space between equipment. The area with the exercise balls is not crammed between the benches, the racks aren't on top of one another, the dumbbell racks aren't in the way, etc. Essentially, moving around the gym is not a hassle and working out on a machine will not, in any way, encroach on other people's space. There are two things I'd improve, if I had to get nit picky: 1) the showers could use some love - there are no outlets in the showers and no fans (i.e. no ventilation). Not a deal-breaker, but not optimal because we're forced to go to the bathroom to use the outlet to plug in a hairdryer, for example. 2) we could use space to hang clothes - there is no place to hang clothes when you are working out, so the only real option is to go to the car to get your clothes after you work out (before you shower) That being said, the best thing about Power Train are the people. Jimmy runs a tight ship with some very motivating and talented personal trainers. In the 45 sessions I've had at Power Train since June, I haven't had a bad workout or one where I left wishing I hadn't gone - they have all been great sessions. Additionally, after two months of moving weight and doing boot camps, not a single injury nor any ligament or tendon pain, which is outstanding. I recommend going to Power Train for anyone who's looking to improve their overall fitness level or get their health back on track. Hands down, probably the best decision I've made in years.

The studio is clean, with the right amount of fitness equipment, good vibes and background music. I really like the fact that I am not entertainment for the people on the cardio equipment, like in a gym atmostphere. Also there are not guys staring you while you are working out. I have not repeated the same exercise twice. It is a full body workout with an emphasis in core training that is fun and challenging. John stretches you before and after the workout and provides Myofascial release with a foam roller. Now I can say, I now feel energized after my workouts. I have had 5 other personal trainers in my past and, I have to say, never have I received results so quickly. I am not talking about the beefy, bulky muscles, but lean, long, sexy fit bod, which are my desired results. I have been training with Fitness Aspects for 7 weeks, twice a week and the rates are very reasonable. I decided to seek John's help due to an accumulation of various pains and wanted my 20 something year old butt back. I rarely feel my pain anymore and I am able to enjoy running with an increase vigor. John is so likeable and motivating, I really feel he cares about his clients. I so look forward to my workouts. At that point, I had persistent sciatica pain which, while not disabling, really impacted my day. As a psychotherapist, I sit all day for my job. I had started running at 48 and loved the way it made me feel--strong and "lighter"--but got a compression injury and had back surgery--which didn't help. Working with John has literally transformed my life. He is an expert trainer who is an expert in exercise physiology and nutrition. I realize now that I probably did not need surgery --the key to relieving my back pain was strengthening my core. I am now largely pain free and feel so much better. It's hard to sum up John's level of expertise in a brief post--he understands physiology, nutrition, and the body in a way no PT or orthopedic doctor seemed to. His classes are group classes but each exercise is tailored to each person's level of conditioning, strength, and injury profile. It is like having an individual trainer with the fun of a small group workout. I have learned how working out with incorrect form can cause injury. My body is strong, I have no back pain, and my overall health is improved. Despite the fact that I did not expect much due to my crazy schedule for school and work that only allowed me to work out three-four times a week, I started seeing results within two months of training with Dave! I can definitely see that my body has gotten more toned --I now have a flatter stomach. What is even better is the fact that I have become so much stronger, which I now believe is what fitness is all about. Dave has been extremely helpful adding some bodybuilding workouts to compliment my strength and condition training and the results are remarkable! His workouts are always challenging so I'm always feeling them days after, especially legs. In addition to effective training methods, Dave is also very book smart on the topic. He is able to articulate how each workout will benefit you and what part of the body is getting the benefit and all in a way that doesn't sound like a high school chemistry teacher is lecturing you. I signed up just about an hour before class, and when we arrived, they had a welcome board with our names written on it -- such a thoughtful touch that immediately made me feel at home. The staff and coaches were all super friendly and helpful, and the energy in the studio was great. I also couldn't help but notice that the amenities here looked even nicer than at my home location, which was a pleasant surprise. The workout itself was exactly what I expect from Orangetheory -- challenging but fun -- and the overall experience was so positive that I'd absolutely love to take another class here in the future.

I have been a member of several Crunch, Gold, and yoga gyms...as I love group classes. I need the…read moremotivation to keep me going, even if I don't want to work out....so, I love the 60 minute Orange Theory classes. One of my BFFs raved about this workout, but I was a bit intimidated by this so it took me a while to be brave enough to try it out....now I am a huge fan. It was a bit challenging as first, as I am not really used to working out this hard...but as the weeks go by, it is easier.. You start on either the treadmill or bike and then switch to floor/rowers. Each class is different so you never get bored. Each trainer has their own unique music selection and personality so you can try out different classes. Atmosphere - This gym is clean and simple. There is a muted orange lighting in a dark room with loud music, so you aren't really focused on other people, just on yourself. You can buy a $120 proprietary "Orange theory Burn band" that syncs to the Orange Theory app and the live screens during the class so you can track your heart rate through 5 different stages. (My high blood pressure meds won't let my heart rate get too high but I can definitely tell I am working - sweating and slightly out of breath!) There are two small showers that you can use afterwards and plenty of lockers to store your items during class. I love that the entire gym is "electronic free." For one hour, you can detox from your cell phone and have someone tell you exactly what to do! Service - The instructors are fabulous - especially Kit, Taylor, Kevin and Sylvia. Last week Kit dressed up as a pirate for the 7am Monday class and it was probably the best. workout. class. ever. She played a pirates of the caribbean theme music and it was awesome. Value- For $179 you can do unlimited classes, for $119 you can get 8 a month...so overall it's not a bad deal compared to other gyms in the area. For the value, it's worth it.....I know that I am getting in better shape and having fun while doing it! Pro tip: Bring a small towel and a water bottle to class. I also have cheap grippy weightlifting gloves to help me hold onto the weights and the rower handles when I get sweaty..
