The lockers may be tricky if it's your first time using one of theirs, so ask a staff for help before locking your stuff unexpectedly! It was my first Barry's class + I did an Arms x Run class. You start on either the floor or treadmill, then you're instructed to swap stations 2xs, so that you do each section twice. You can opt to be on either the floor or treadmill the whole time though. The format of the class takes a second to get used to, since the instructor directs both sections at the same time. I personally think it's easier to be on the treadmill, since you're mostly jogging or doing sprints. If there's one con, I wish there was more space between the lockers inside the women's locker rooms and the vanity area post shower. Definitely a HIIT style class to get used to, but I loved sweating it out! Barry's is unfortunately on the higher price of workout classes ($40), but a standard price for NYC, sadly. Overall, would def return for a Barry's class, when they have more class deals!

The random guy comment? There's some guy who's apparently an owner or someone higher up who just shows up with no Sweat440 logos on so you don't know he works there, and he randomly shows up and starts yelling at you. First time it happened I thought a homeless person broke into the studio. He also was hyper-fixated on me especially when I was rowing - I rowed through college & have done many a Regatta, I know what i'm doing - and didn't focus on any of the other 20+ people. He singled me out to make me feel uncomfortable and when I filed a complaint nobody did a thing about it. He's probably the person telling his staff to cross boundaries with personal information. A guy in the FiDi location kept texting me begging me to buy a plan I said no I travel a lot and can't afford a package when i'm out of the country so much AND he continued to harass me and even made fun of me when I rushed out because I had to go pick up my Mom from the hospital. He literally texted me laughing and being abrasive when I said I had to get out of there I have something important to get to. Sweat440 continues to harrass, cross boundaries, and illegally share information without consent. I'm sick of it and officially never going back i'll find a new HIIT option.

The well-organized interior is quite vast and imposing, with minimalist architecture and theatrical lighting. This well-thought-out sports club was recently designed by the renowned architectural firm Vocon. Though the interiors and facilities do succeed in conveying quite an impressive sense of sophistication and training experience, they ultimately come across as a bit monotonous and generic compared to other clubs of TMPL that were conceived more inventively by Studio Sofield. Diverse and up-to-date athletic machines: a mix of traditional and cutting-edge equipment, including cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights, all new and great selections. Here are a few more details of this new gym: 1. Fully equipped weight floor, featuring Arsenal Strength equipment designed for maximum performance, superior quality, and the most effective workouts. 2. Hot yoga studio within a serene, state-of-the-art space designed to enhance flexibility and mindfulness through expertly heated sessions. 3. Pilates Reformer Studio, featuring Allegro 2 Reformers by Balance Body, at times characterized as the gold standard in versatility and performance. 4. Boxing ring built for high-energy classes that challenge strength, speed, and endurance. 5. Expansive functional turf zone, designed for dynamic training, agility work, and full-body conditioning. 6. Baths featuring: ice baths; a hot tub; infrared sauna; Himalayan salt sauna; eucalyptus steam room; and a spacious spa recovery lounge. Great location: 200 Madison Avenue, between 35th and 36th Streets.

Seems like she only hires minimum wage literally 15 yr old girls to dictate how the gym operates. They're all aggressive, angry, untrained and REALLY disrespectful and are given free reign to open, close and patrol the gym with zero regard for the members paying $240 a month. These girls were given the power to be rude, shout, talk down, make up rules and get loud with members. Blink, NYSC and Planet Fitness are all run better then this. Seriously. The cleaning crew seemed to be changing garbages, but not really cleaning the floor. I remember this Poland Spring bottle sitting on a windowsill that was there for over a week that no one even bothered to throw out. The gym is overrun with tacky fake wannabe Tiktok influencers with tripods posing for the camera and acting like they're famous, but they are really just a bunch of nobodies trying too hard. And then we have to move out of THEIR way, because they think they're important and famous LMAO...in their own mind maybe that's it. The kindergarten staff doesn't care or want to be there, they rush you out as quickly as possible with zero warning and no time to even finish sets sometimes because they think the members are ON THEIR schedule. NOTHING redeeming about this place. TRUST this review. Go to Equinox, Lifetime, Crunch or any of these other new gyms in the area. People are joining and then quickly leaving this gym for a reason. Check the reviews. I've heard better things about the other locations, but that was years ago. Couldn't wait to get out of there, MUCH happier at another gym.

It was a tough workout but in a good way--I thought I'd be pretty fit since I play volleyball 2-3 times/week every week but Pilates has humbled me once again. Form50 has a lot of offers -- 2 pack or 2 week unlimited membership for new clients, various class packs and being listed on ClassPass. Towels are only free for members; otherwise, it's $3 per towel. The facility is very clean and aesthetic too. I also like how there are more than enough lockers, compared to some fitness studios where I feel like I have to scramble for locker space.
