This isn't just the best gym, it's also the most amazing community of people helping you become the strongest version of yourself (mentally and physically). I found Training Lab when I first moved to the city in the heart of the pandemic. I had always been someone who took typical gym classes and workouts...but Training Lab changed everything I thought I knew about working out. I was instantly humbled by the rigor and complexity of the workouts (and learned that I was previously not doing a single barbell movement with proper form or intensity). After about 2 years of coming here, I can say that I've never had a repeat or boring class. The classes are programmed to make you stronger in every way as long as you keep coming. The trainers are the most elite as they come, they have always had extreme patience, care, and faith in my abilities to succeed even when I didn't have it myself. Because of Training Lab and the supportive, loving, community that is fostered, I came back every day wanting to be the best version of myself. I went from barely being able to use a 35Lbs barbell to completing SERE, Hyrox, and finding a new confidence in the gym (and myself) that helps me be the best/strongest version of myself every day. The workouts are hard, a mix of strength and cardio, but the reward of completing them is unmatched. When you're surrounded by successful, kind, supportive people, it makes going every day that much better. Do yourself a favor and take the first step of being the best version of yourself by taking a class at Training Lab. It'll be the best decision you could make for yourself. See you soon :) (That picture is me after about 6 months of only Training Lab workouts)

I enjoyed the intense workout and truly appreciated the encouraging vibe and great workout tips from the instructor, Scott. The workout spot is ample but could be better organized--the exercises require benches and floor space and occasionally I didn't know where to go or feel like I had sufficient floor room between benches. Room is downstairs and ran a bit hot, and changing space is limited. Still and all, the workout was great and I'd definitely go back for more. Instructor was fantastic--encouraging and helpful.

Seemed more club vibe w loud music than a place where you can see the ppl and legitimately coach. 2/ in the middle of the workout they add in some additional exercises. I wasn't as much of a fan of that, rather know exactly what I will be doing vs having a spontaneous add in. Not necessarily bad but just not my thing. 3/ the exercise choices weren't bad , but I thought the timed component for some of the exercises wasn't enough to perform a legitimate working set. For ex: the 45s DB row, or 20s/side, was too fast (unless you're trying to move the weight w speed) . I didn't think that was the goal w this class 4/ all in all , for a place that markets itself as a strength/hypertrophy hybrid w focussed coaching. I thought they fell short.

When you walk in, you are given some long shorts and a shirt in your size to change into in one of the three dressing rooms. You can then leave your belongings in one of the lockers and start your workout. Your instructor will wet a suit and then help you put it on and get all hooked up to the machine. This suit is a $5 one time rental or you can rent more permanently I believe. Afterwards, you will workout for 15-20 minutes doing some movements guided by your instructor, who also adjusts the intensity of the pulses the machine emits. They let me know this equals about 4 hours in the gym. The workout does get quite intense as most people are not familiar with the machine's pulsing sensations, but tensing your muscles does help! Afterwards, they encourage you to rest, stretch and drink water. There are showers available here as well. As I only went for the trial session and am not too familiar with this kind of fitness, I can't speak on the total efficacy of consistent sessions, but I will say the soreness I felt was real, and I imagine that this would probably be beneficial to some looking to diversify their training, especially those that might not have a full hour to devote to a workout that day. They're on ClassPass as well and super easy to book!

My contract was for 6 months, but I was charged for 7 months of sessions, and the amounts billed were not accurate. For example, the contract stated $225, but I was charged $287.38. I was also told I had 6 sessions left, but when I arrived I was informed I needed to pay for another month. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. Please correct your billing records. Also, the vests were always unclean and smelled bad. Several people I recommended this workout to also stopped going because they all had bad experiences.

The management also cuts costs on the air conditioning, so it gets extremely hot when it's busy. Additionally, the showers and steam room are frequently closed. The most disappointing part, however, was the behavior of certain privileged members, who seem to be friends of David. These individuals believe that if they need an exercise machine you're using, you should immediately give it up. If you don't, they start a drama--staring at you, threatening and cursing at you. Afterward, they report you and play the victim. The management, including David Barton, turns a blind eye to this behavior, even going so far as to blame you for the situation, suggesting that perhaps this gym isn't the right fit for you. I ultimately decided to cancel my membership, though I still had 3 days left. Despite this, they decided to terminate it immediately, accusing me of misconduct and stealing the days. Dear Mr. Barton, let me clarify what misconduct truly is: it's when your friends are calling other members "an asshole" just for trying to work out peacefully, kicking them off machines for no reason. Misconduct is also when the orgies happen in the steam room or somebody's giving a head in the locker room. None of the above relates to me. You also don't have to answer to my review and write another lie.
