I signed up for a "free" 6-week challenge that had been advertised on Facebook. I chose the…read moremembership option ($270 upfront, $180 after the challenge) versus paying $599 upfront for the challenge. I chose the membership option because I was hopeful my work would allow me to actively make time for the gym. Unfortunately, I just wasn't able to complete it do to some changes in my work schedule. Let me just say the workouts, coaches, and people are very friendly. The 6-week challenge meal plan is limited, making it incredibly hard to follow. This comes from someone who is pretty easy-going about meal options and has done low-card, calorie counting, Keto, and a few other meal lifestyles successfully. There's apparently a new meal prep guide with a larger option for foods, but it came out after I started so I don't know much about it. They don't have a copier, so I took a photo of the contract, which is neither here nor there, but more a friendly note to snap a photo or you won't have something to refer back to. They do require you to sign a photo release to join, which really isn't something I was interested in doing, but had already signed up before being told about the release. You're also required to friend the owners, Sol and Amy, on social media and follow the gym. (Funny enough, my EFT just processed for the current month, my last, and I noticed one already unfriended me. I guess that means we can't be friends if my membership during/after my notice. ‍) It's alright. I wasn't thrilled by the idea anyway. Friending them does allow membership in a secret group of other members and one of other challengers. I can't fairly review the gym or the workouts other than saying I would have at least continued to complete the challenge had work not interfered. It is a great workout. You go at your own pace (kind of). Coaches are eager to help (and encouraging) so you don't feel like the new kid. I enjoyed it! My biggest frustration regarding the challenge specifically is there isn't really a good option to just try the challenge. Being asked to pay $600 for a "free" campaign is a lot of money to try something out. When opting for the more price efficient option you're locked into more than 6 weeks because of the misleading 30 day policy unless you cancel after your very first foundations class. The policy states: "Once payment is received on an EFT membership there are no refunds under any circumstances. 30 day written notice is required to cancel an EFT membership. Any payments that fall within that 30 days must be satisfied." MOST IMPORTANTLY: Unless you give notice on the 1st day of the month in a 31 day month, you will be paying for more than 30 days after giving notice. If notice is given on the 2nd or any time after, you'll be billed for the remainder of the current month and then your 30 days. Again, there is no way out of getting locked into a second month automatically when trying the challenge. In my case, I gave written notice just over two weeks after starting, but I paid for an additional month was still due. All in all, I paid $460 for 14 days of foundations classes and 5 days of actual workouts.

By the time I found Soloman I was a mess. Loss of strength, limited mobility and range of motion and daily pain. Not to mention the fear of injuring myself even more. He worked with me for a long time to help regain my mobility and range of motion then we started on strength, it was a special day when he told me we didn't need one-on-one anymore and I could attend the group classes. I still require modification for most everything but he never fails to kick my butt and push me beyond my fears. I love this guy!

Calling all those who hate their bodies!…read more This place is super great. I dragged my sorry behind in here to work with MaryJo. At the time, I was so angry at my body that everytime I began serious workout schedule, I over did it and ended up with a sprained ankle, foot, etc. MaryJo is a trainer but also a therapist. Through her guidance, I was able to gently return to a state of peace with my body- and yes, I developed rock hard abs as well. MaryJo is really unusual because she brings a different element to working out- one that includes your mind and your spirit. Working with her is not like working with another trainer. When you feel most frustrated and tense, she stops you and asks whats going on. She uses her clinical training to probe into the the disconnects of mind, body and spirit. She's not just a trainer who stands there and counts 1-8. In addition, she can tell from my poses which parts of me are weaker than others and she adjusts our workouts to strengthen my weakest points. I have only done private sessions with her. But I know she is opening classes on mediation and workouts. I hope to try some of those out. I'm damn well pleased to be working out with her. If you are at your wits end with your body, this is the place to go.

The only good part is you get paid decently. But the "management" is chaotically disorganized, dishonest, and ultimately horrific. They fail to staff their facilities well if at all most time and will completely disregard your availability. As a former lifeguard, we don't want to be like this either. If we don't kick guests out of lap for not swimming laps, or take our eyes off the water to make sure your crying son is okay, we get punished. Blame management not the guards, we're just as annoyed as you. This facility is also incredibly dirty, as they only allow 30 minutes of cleaning. The water, floors, and overall facility is disgusting. Senior guards 99% of the time don't help, and don't enforce cleaning on the guards either.

I decided it was time to invest in a trainer instead of a new wardrobe. So blessed to have found Vitruvian! I'm doing activities I haven't done in years and other activities for the first time ever! I still need to buy a new wardrobe but this time for a smaller size. Yay! The personal workout programs they build for you are always different and push boundaries which keeps it from getting boring. I love that the trainers make it fun while you're working out and are great with ensuring your form is spot on. Previously I couldn't walk up stairs without pain and now I'm doing lunges and deadlifts! The people and community here are amazing. Love the classes too! At first I was nervous that they would be too much with my knee issues but the instructors give variations of the exercises for people with issues or various fitness levels. The classes are smaller which is really nice so that you don't feel overcrowded, the instructor can keep an eye on your form and you get to know the people your working out with. Vitruvian has not only helped me get back on track but I've made some great friends here while doing it! Vitruvian has made my life better on so many levels. Let's talk about what Ethos is doing during this pandemic. I've been to Ethos, the hair stylist,…read moregrocery stores, home improvement stores, and the doctor (twice) since our Safer At Home orders have started. And I've felt the safest at Ethos. Everyone is in masks, everyone has their own bottle of cleaner to wipe down equipment, and everyone has their own 10'-15' space in the gym to work out. Doors are open, the ceilings are high, and classes are limited to 6 people. They are making a huge effort to clean every day, and everyone is screened for symptoms before entering the gym. Honestly, I was more worried picking up an order at Home Depot than I've been at Ethos - they are taking our health and safety extremely seriously. As a former athlete with multiple surgeries under my belt, I've been in and out of gyms and physical therapy my whole life. I went through years of very expensive personal trainers only to see minimal gains. I decided to try Ethos after hearing about it from former teammates. What I found was a gym that challenged me, with a team of trainers that are dedicated to every member's success. After 40+ years of destroying my body, I'm now learning how to breathe and move in a different way in order to prevent further injuries. In less than a year I've gained more strength and confidence than I ever did with 10 years of personal trainers. Simply put, Ethos is the best.
