He kept asking me to change our pickup day and time. Each time I told him I couldn't change my plans. He could have simply told me it didn't work for them, but each time he'd say OK and I would confirm the day, time, and location of pickup at the end of the conversation. Then the next day he'd ask me to change it up again. When the day finally arrived, he texted me at 6:45 am and told me they were going to be almost 3 hours earlier than the scheduled time. Again, at no point did he disclose there was a pickup window. He had confirmed our appointment on multiple occasions. It almost ruined the whole process because we were picking up our item from friends, so I couldn't just randomly change the plan with no notice. Kareem was rude to me on the phone when I called him about this and said "things change". Then he billed me an invoice for our balance due before the job was done and texted me about payment. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

I made it clear that I had a lot of large, heavy furniture and I also told them the sizes of the two storage units that I wanted emptied and brought to my new house. I specifically asked if it would all fit and if they would make multiple trips. I was quoted a price for six hours including tax. They did bring most of the large, heavy stuff but took NONE of the boxes. Now I am left to empty half of a 10x25 unit in MANY trips in my car. Not only that, but one of the movers spent a lot of time trying to get out a splinter (using tweezers that I offered) and using the bathroom and the other guy stood around waiting for him. This caused me to be charged for an extra hour. I'm grateful for what they did, but it wasn't as much as I was expecting. I'm older and on a limited budget so I went with the lower priced option because she said they would handle it, but they didn't and now my arthritic knees and back are paying for it.

It appears that Siracusa uses an auto transport company called Auto Relocation & Logistics to ship the vehicles. Auto Relocation & Logistics driver picked up my car in good condition, but upon delivery, the hood had multiple damages (scratches) that were clearly not present before transport. I have photo documentation before and after shipment. After delivery, I received an email from Siracusa Moving & Storage regarding feedback on my vehicle relocation in which I explained the issue. I also filed a damage claim with the auto transport company (Auto Relocation & Logistics), but the claim was denied and they refused to take responsibility. Now I have to spend $1,200 out my own pocket to fix my car.

Following our move, it has been nearly impossible to reach Siracusa. The sales representative told us he would be our contact from the "beginning to the end" of our move. When the move did not go well, he told us he could not help. With no apology and complete indifference, a senior manager told us, "I can't help you. It's up to operations now. Good luck reaching them." And the Siracusa person in charge of claims never returned our calls. We were told to contact Allied. That process has taken over eight months and our furniture is still not repaired. Siracusa advertises a "stress free move." Our experience was the opposite. There are lots of moving companies; DON'T CHOOSE SIRACUSA! Especially don't trust Siracusa with antiques or anything valuable.
