It's in a lovely location with a beautiful view over the beach in Praia de Roche. There was a man handling out information about the restaurant at the bottom of the stairs but we had made reservations. We were offered either a table on the enclosed patio overlooking the water or a table inside. We opted to sit outside and enjoy the view. The service was very good. We shared an order of shrimp in garlic butter and asked to have the heads removed. They were good. For entrees my husband had grilled fish. It did not have any seasoning and he had to ask for lemon. The fish required a lot of lemon and salt and it was still lacking in flavour. I had a grilled steak and it was decent but not that interesting. Not one of the better steaks that I've had. The prices are a bit higher that some comparable restaurants that we've gone to but the food although decent should be considerably better for the prices charged. We would not return as we found the menu to be somewhat limited, the prices too high and the food was a not as well prepared as one would expect for the prices charged. read more

Great place for dinner in Portimão! We came around 7:30 PM and was able to be seated. There's a lot of seating inside but limited seated on the indoor patio with the beach view. I would recommend making reservations just in case if you want a nice view with dinner. There was also a set menu available that you could order but it has to be ordered 24 hours in advance. We ordered the seafood cataplana which was amazing. It is a popular Portuguese dish that did not fail to impress. The seafood was fresh in a tasty broth. It was relatively cheaper to the other restaurants too. We also ordered the monkfish risotto which was flavorful and super filling. The Portuguese steak was also very tender and not too salty like other places have been before. We also got dessert which was good. They brought out a fire gun to heat the creme brûlée in front of us which was cool. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to people visiting the Algarve area of Portugal! read more

A superb restaurant hiding amid the circus of the strip in Portimão with outstanding beach views. They call their food contemporary Portuguese and they certainly have many Portuguese items but anyone can easily find something on thei list to enjoy We were looking at two places "f" and "w" and our hotel told us they are related with "f" being food and "w" being wine. Anyway, we made a reservation (strongly recommended)for 7 pm on a Saturday and were greeted like royalty. All the the English-speaking staff were warm and helpful with the boss providing great service on selecting a Portuguese wine. Note: they automatically bring you bread and two kinds of butter and charge €2,50 per person so if you aren't eating bread you can refuse. We had a great table with a beach view out on the enclosed patio. I ordered the ribeye (entrecôte on the menu) which was dry aged then grilled and my wife got the Turdot (white fish) with a creamy lemon sauce. For dessert we shared a luscious chocolate mousse ball with strawberries and some basil ice cream. The food and service was so good. You really felt like family. I ate at this restaurant a few days ago, my first night in Portimão. I chose to eat outside because covid still exists and I have to test negative to get back to the United States. Eating indoors isn't worth it to me. The wait staff (all male appearing) mostly seemed okay with this but I have to say at times I felt like I was forgotten. I had multiple servers over the course of two hours which was confusing. All but one of them was nice. There was one person in glasses who kept calling me "lady" and then barely asked if I wanted dessert. That person was not friendly. Despite the weird waitstaff, the food was delicious! I had the mixed green "flower" salad, the octopus with sweet potatoes and clams and a Negroni and then a glass of delicious sparkling wine. All for 40 euro. I would recommend this restaurant. Not giving 5 stars because of that one waiter. read more

We came here based on Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. After two nights of bland disappointing dinners this one delivered. We started w the tuna tartare (I wish I had taken a picture). It was delicious and delightful. I had the cod w peas and chorizo. Husband had the entrecôte medium rare which came with yummy truffle fries and an ok creamed spinach. Steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The spinach just needed some salt. The cod dish was delish. Finished w a crème brûlée and cheese plate. I had a port. The service was good except they never checked in during the meal to see how things were and totally forgot to bring my husband's brandy. I would totally return here. read more

This is a very underrated restaurant and somewhat hidden but we knew it has an ocean view because of the location. It's definitely more of a modern, fine dining take on traditional Portuguese dishes but everything is reasonably priced! We walked in half an hour before the restaurant opened for dinner. Staff was still eating but one of them stepped out to talk to us and reserved a table with the ocean view. We came back at 6:32 and were promptly seated. Service was faster and more attentive than most restaurants we dined at in Europe. We had 2 cocktails and tried their homemade sardine pate with a selection of bread (and a chip-like cracker - my favorite). For starter, we had the fresh fish ceviche and boy was it fresh and delicious. For entrees, we ordered the suckling pig and cataplana - highly recommend both. For desserts, we had the panna cotta and classic cream brulee. The panna cotta had a subtle pistachio flavor and came with pistachio granola and a cookie - wonderful presentation and definitely wanted more of this. All the deliciousness for only 78.50 euros.
