We had new parts to order because a was paying for a maintenance service and whatever new parts I needed to get the mower working. I called Friday, no answer I called Saturday no answer then i messaged the business thru the Yelp app and got a response to pick up lower at 1:00. I showed up at 130 and he was still working on it.. he told me he didn't order any new parts and he replaced my blades with better used blades. Changed oil and air filter. That was it. The mower started right up. But when I got it home it wouldn't start. I message the business back and they told me to bring it back tomorrow. They will be there all day. I showed up today to bring the mower back. And the business was closed. Mind you I have a one way 25 minute drive to get to the business and for no one to be there very unprofessional. And it costs me my time and effort. I was carded $80 for the fixes that did work out. And I gave the guy a $20 tip cause I'm trying to build relationships. Im sure I'll need my mower to be serviced again. So I tip. I tried called and messaging but no one is responding. Im not please at all with the service and the run around

My husband called in, and a very pleasant voice answered in the other end. We were able to find Colusa Legal within a small building of other small shops. We walked in and met Nancy. After a few minutes she was able to print out our documents and we were on our way. Nancy is the ONLY paralegal in the county. While she is not a lawyer, she knows many that she can refer you to, and she's very experienced in legal advice and guidance. Thank you Nancy!

I…read moreneeded to serve someone in their home city on a Thursday night and if I had no luck, I needed another process server to serve the person in a entirely different city on Friday. The urgency was that the person was leaving the country on Saturday. I called several process servers in both cities and had difficulty getting a response. Though I worked with a very responsive server in the city for Friday and I paid him (as it was getting late, 5p, on Thursday and I wasn't getting any calls back about serving the party on Thursday... Even the butte county sheriff's office neglected for an entire two weeks to call me back) eventually Amber from AW Legal services called me back. I was frustrated that I had lost the money (due to the lack of responsiveness from several places in Chico) from paying the other processor for the Friday job. However once Amber called, we discussed the entire process, the identification information, and her pricing. I had a fee waiver for the county, but you can't use it if they never call you back so I was happy to find that Amber's pricing is extremely reasonable!!! I made the payment and I advised the Friday process server (in the Friday city), right away, that I might be able to get it done that evening (with AW Legal) but the chances were slim. He told me to let him know if I got it done. Shocked as all get out, Amber, with only basic address info (wasn't 100% sure about the way the apartment # was written) managed to serve the party within two hours. But here's the icing on the cake... My paralegal had multiple misscommunications with myself & Amber in regards to getting the original paperwork from Amber so that it could be delivered to the court. Eventually, I had to cut out the middle man and (2 weeks after service) ask Amber to please send it directly to me. She paid out of her pocket to overnight it to me. This act alone deserves five stars! I was extremely thankful. Amber will send you simple smile emojis, one word answers, and she's not very verbose in her texts (Lol) but she gets to the point, will get the job done, quickly, and correctly. And she is the type that will stick with you until it is done! I couldn't have been happier with her kindness, her commitment to completing the job, her relaxed nature (at a time that is stressful to her clients), and her professionalism.

I recently retired and moved from the Sacramento area to Chico and thought it would be more…read moreefficient to move myself with rented trucks and movers in both locations. How wrong I was. I had driven my rental truck to Chico and waited for the two movers I had hired off of the U-Haul website. In our phone conversation I was assured stairs and heavy objects, including pianos, were not an issue. When I met them, I had great hesitation as to their ability to lift, carry, and move heavy boxes and furniture. The two movers had problems moving simple items out of the truck and took numerous breaks. My teen grandson and I had to start moving boxes and items just to get the truck unpacked. To make matters worse, the furniture dolly holding my very heavy and antique upright piano had broken during transit. Moving it was tremendously difficult and when the movers begin to tell me they could move the piano down the ramp, in spite of the broken dolly, I became very upset and had no faith in their abilities. I quickly Googled movers and Sorenson Moving and Storage came up. I called and asked if anyone could come right away to help and direct the move of my piano and was referred to Rick's son, Richard. I was very upset and I'm sure he could sense my anxiety over the phone and assured me he would have help there immediately. I told the movers not touch the piano until help arrived. True to his word, he arrived with another gentleman, and basically transferred the piano to another furniture dolly. The two of them, with minimal assistance from my hired movers, moved the piano off the trunk, inside my new home, did most of the work to transfer it off the dolly and got it placed where I wanted it. Without this help, I know my piano would have been destroyed. I am so grateful for the help, assistance and expertise these two men brought to my move in spite of the hired movers. I know I have one more move in the future and when that time comes, I will call Sorenson's again, this time to take care of my entire move!

Three of the four did come to our location and were to provide a quote. We did ask for three-four quotes due to the complexities of our move, thank you Covid, and gave everyone the opportunity to put on their thinking caps and come up with figures that made sense and wouldn't put us into one of the cardboard boxes we were moving our things with. Rich Sorenson called prior to our appointment to get a sense of the dates we were thinking about and to be the first on the planet of cell phones to ask where we were located. That never can be a good sign when you're getting ready to hire a moving company, amirite? He showed up without a mask (smack in the middle of Covid). We gave him one of our prepackaged spares since we're a first responder family. He claims he must have left it on the ground at the gas station. Nice. Asked a lot of questions. Took measurements. Seemed checked out (this isn't our first rodeo when it comes to getting estimates and moving). And then crickets. No email. No quote. No phone call. And yes, we did check our spam. Unless he was emailing in broken English from Nigeria, nothing in the spam box was from Sorenson's. I did read another review that spoke of the same net result. I feel bad for the employees who are missing out on work because their estimator is slacking off. But I can't be bothered with making a follow-up call to light a fire under the owner's son's butt when I found some phenomenal out of state movers here locally that were johnny-on-the-spot with their estimates. If you're like us and looking to move out of this godforsaken place, you might want to check out the smaller guys who are working hard to make a name for themselves.
