The director was fresh out the proverbial womb. Spoke to my mom, brother and I in a very…read moreunprofessional manner. We requested Thumbies of my father, and I trusted that he would put it in the order. We've never done this before, we expected to have our hands held and absolutely babied throught the process because we are grieving. We are sad, angry, frustrated, and tired with just the fact my dad is dead, but to have THE Robert Bracewell tell my mom that the file for his thumbprint was corrupt and couldn't get the Thumbie for another couple weeks is downright abhorrent. It was the director first, but to have the owner double down on a blatant lie was too much. It was never on the receipt. The director did not put it on the order list, did not double or triple check DESPITE HEARING ALL THREE OF US SAY WE WANTED IT. I watched him write it down. Then he comes in with a fucking portable card reader and STANDS in front of my mom with it in her face, and said "your total will be XXX.XX today." That was my last lifeline to feel like my dad wasn't completely gone and I was lied to. Lies, liars, and cut corners. You should be fucking ashamed of yourselves for how you run this business. You will never EVER touch one of my family members again.

We were there when she passed and she did not have ANY damage to her face. NONE. ZERO! These people do not care about your loved ones and I would never recommend them. The least these folks could do after taking so much money for a funeral is to leave your loved ones looking dignified. They DID NOT accomplish that. I also found it extremely distasteful for them to have an employee promoting their funeral home while the coroner was still trying to put her body in their van. Classless.

The accommodations & friendly staff made the last moments spent with our father so much more easier & allowed us to grieve my father in our own way & in peace. Thank you, Chapel of the Twin Cities. Cons: it wasn't communicated to us on how to handle the technical equipment. So we missed out on some opportunities that could've made my father's funeral more special & memorable. Some of the staff working wasn't familiar with how to use the equipment either but was patient enough with us to get it to work.

It is like a bunch of rookies are running this mortuary. My sister's ashes showed up at my house…read moreyesterday, and I live in Michigan. I had to send the ashes to the intended destination, a funeral home In Youngstown, OH. The post office rep said that they did not ship them properly. I reused their shipping container, and our U.S.P.S. rep placed 2 cremains labels on the box, and charged me $48. This business paid the U.S.P.S. $28 to ship the cremains to me, with no return address on the shipping container. The paperwork inside said the ashes were from my sister, but where they really? When I called to complain, Rebekah was speechless. She certainly was vocal when she took my credit card number for the cremation. Rebekah was flummoxed using DocuSign for the legal paperwork, even though the DocuSign website was satisfied on how I signed and uploaded the documents. I confirmed the signed documents uploaded. Rebekah called and wanted me to redo the process. I told her to keep scrolling down on the document to find the signed copy. At this point in time, I am waiting for 10 death certificates. 1 is to go to my Grass Valley attorney, and 9 are supposed to be mailed to me in Michigan. I have told them TWICE of my wishes. I have NO confidence that they will follow my wishes. I have to travel to Grass Valley next month, and if they don't get this final task done, as I requested, I WILL be making a visit to the Chapel. They really should refund my $48 postage expense to correct THEIR mistake, but Rebekah was speechless, as I stated earlier. To repeat, I told her, and another person, and it was in the contract, that the ashes were going to our hometown for final disposition. I would NOT use their services again. P.S. My sister's ashes sat on the front porch for 3 hours before my daughter and wife noticed the box. Thank God our neighborhood does not have trouble with porch pirates. P.P.S. The owner of the Mortuary called me and apologized for the error made in shipping my sister's remain from California to Ohio. He said he would reimburse me for the postage. Rebekah called to tell me that the check is in the mail. She also called to confirm that my lawyer and I received the death certificates. They did, and they were distributed as I requested.
