Changing the Taste of Your World One Bite At A Time !

You know I like to give shouts for food well prepared. Yesterday Yolanda Wyatt and I were out and about in the Falls when we roll up on Bobby Anderson chilling and serving samples of the best lemonade I have tasted in a long while. So when he says he has bowls we just had to give them a try. I don't know if y'all have ever hear of oxtail gumbo before....yes i said Oxtail Gumbo! Chile I didn't know but I sure found out.... the most tender flavorful bowl of gumbo I have ever tasted from first spoonful til the last. My taste buds were dancing around in my mouth with glee!. No there ain't no pictures because that bowl didn't have a chance. Thank you Chef Bobby Anderson for extending your culinary skills. If you want to give your taste buds a thrill Stop by F Bites in the Falls and find out for yourself.

I went inside this place is was clean, the workers was very nice. What I noticed first was this big glass water jug with a tree plant inside of it, at first I was like I'm not drinking that but when the lady insisted on me to take a small sample taste it was delicious I couldn't believe it, I had to buy the drink(famous lavender lemonade). The food was excellent exactly how I like it. I encourage anyone how comes here to try that lavender lemonade

A rare culinary delight!!!! Perfectly seasoned soul food with a gourmet twist! Priced right and very professional staff. The cafe is clean, modern, and fun. No downside to any of my 3 visits here so consistency is a plus. This place is a foodies dream come true!!!

This place is quaint and cute. Loved the setting inside. I think it's a new spot. There was old school candies all over if that's your interest. The food: My taco looked more so like a burrito or Roti vs a taco and was cold so I didn't really like that. The rice was amazing, couldn't get enough, wish I ordered two. The mac and cheese was also very good. Tasted authentic. And the peach cobbler was good.

Non profit, low cost for the community. Side Mac and cheese, curry chicken with coconut rice, side turkey scallions cheese grits were great. Try their amazing lavender tea (free sample). Only con is some dishes are heavy on the salt.

    Pretty obvious

Omg, so good. If you need lunch on the fly, you can't go wrong. Quiet place with great food

I had just arrived in Buffalo, NY from International Falls, MN for the first time. I was headed…read morefor Toronto the next day, so I knew I wanted to stay in Niagara Falls because I could walk across the rainbow bridge and save time rather than sit on the bus for 2 hours while everyone went through customs. I had read and heard some pretty bad things about Niagara Falls, NY, and it was an unusually warm night (it was 4 May 2012). For $20 I got a small sleeping room with a washroom down the hall. I got to use the fitness facilities that night which was great since there was nothing else to do and I wanted to work out, plus I got to work out the next morning. Plus side was nobody was there - so I had the whole place to myself. I saw NOBODY outside on Portage Road or Main Street from my window which creeped me out - where is everyone? It made me nervous to go anywhere because I didn't think anything was open! This place still used the old-style keys to enter rooms. I was so happy to be on vacation I thought nothing of it, until about 3 in the morning someone entered my room - with the same key I had. Evidently, if people check out without turning in their key they don't change the locks. Now i was worried about my stuff, and thank God I was checking out that morning. I wouldn't dare leave my things sitting in that room unattended. But, I was in such a great mood that upon checkout i had nothing to complain about, and i was excited to just get this show on the road and cross the rainbow bridge, and hop on the bus to Toronto. As of March 2013, the future of that hostel the Niagara Falls YMCA has is unclear - I wanted to do a little research on how I'm going to get around this May, and it sounds like the hostel is no longer in operation. So I'd advise anyone looking for low-cost accommodations to check out Hostel Buffalo which is downtown at 667 Main Street. Otherwise I don't see many other low-cost places to stay just for the night.

On Saturday, 10/20/18, I was in need of some last minute medical equipment. On a fluke, I happened…read moreto be in Niagara Falls, NY for an appointment. I asked SIRI for some thrift store suggestions. I chose the second suggestion-Niagara Heritage of Hope and Service. Being only a few minutes away, I took a chance and went there. It was obviously an old Catholic school/church. Feeling nostalgic (and having a sense of deja-vu), I entered the old building and was immediately greeted by a very happy woman and a young man. When I explained my situation, she immediately sprang into action! Within moments, she found a walker with wheels and a quad cane in great condition! During that time, she told me the history of the former church (Holy Trinity) and all the things they do there now. Even though I was short on time, I decided to browse! There literally was something for everyone! The people entering and exiting-they were SO SWEET and full of conversation. There was a young boy who asked (very politely)if there were masks that went with a specific costume. This lovely woman again stopped what she was doing to help him! I was totally impressed! (She was short-handed that day, but she didn't let that overwhelm her!) As for me? I ended up walking out of there with a beautiful afghan and holiday decorations (besides the medical equipment)-and it didn't break the bank!!! When I left the area, it then hit me-I HAD been there years ago! I was a young teacher at that time and had to go there for a training! If you know of someone with a limited income, or if you want to save a few $$, or if you have a sense of appreciation for all things thrifty, this place is worth a look a look (or two or three!) I WILL be back! Please note-they are only opened on Saturdays.
