I was very happy to have inadvertently wandered into Chef Bobby Anderson's F Bites cafe. I was in Niagara Falls on a lark and haphazardly looking for a place for lunch. I knew the chef's story but didn't realize his place was in the tourist district of Niagara Falls. The guys working there were very personable and seemed to enjoy being there. They probably could have sold me the whole menu. In any case I went for the oxtail gumbo and a couple tacos...throw in some rice and beans as well. Everything was fine, the gumbo was a bit low on flavor. It wasn't the best gumbo I've had but it wasn't the worst either. It was definitely middle of the road. The tacos were ok. I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Loss of cabbage/ slaw and other toppings. Tasted fine if a bit short on fish...only 2 shrimps in the taco. I'm so excited to write this review, I only wish I had gotten the names of the head chef and his lovely wife. Like many of the adventures my best friend and I embark upon, it's my best friend who makes sure we find and support black owned business. This trip was no different. K Bites was the second gem found during this adventure. If it hadn't been for my bestie sharp eyes (flyer on the counter advertising a gospel brunch) while touring the Underground Railroad museum in the area, we might have missed this amazing restaurant. K Bites is a small operation but large in Love! Love for it customers and lots of extra love and skill put into each carefully crafted meal combination. The meal options will make your eyes pop of your head. I said to my bestie, "we won't find this brunch selectionanywhere else". I ordered the chicken meatballs meal and I demolished it! I must go back to the beginning and say, the head chef and his wife are fabulous. So warm and welcoming to ever guest. They truly have a good thing going on. The area has a couple of other options near by but they don't have the magic and deliciousness of K Bites. Please go and support this black owned business. You won't be disappointed. You know I like to give shouts for food well prepared. Yesterday Yolanda Wyatt and I were out and about in the Falls when we roll up on Bobby Anderson chilling and serving samples of the best lemonade I have tasted in a long while. So when he says he has bowls we just had to give them a try. I don't know if y'all have ever hear of oxtail gumbo before....yes i said Oxtail Gumbo! Chile I didn't know but I sure found out.... the most tender flavorful bowl of gumbo I have ever tasted from first spoonful til the last. My taste buds were dancing around in my mouth with glee!. I went inside this place is was clean, the workers was very nice. What I noticed first was this big glass water jug with a tree plant inside of it, at first I was like I'm not drinking that but when the lady insisted on me to take a small sample taste it was delicious I couldn't believe it, I had to buy the drink(famous lavender lemonade). The homemade ginger tea here was very good surprisingly I haven't heard nothing about them while I was visiting the falls there restaurant was not in the direction of the falls so I only noticed them as I was leaving food was great it and staff where polite and informative read more

This place is quaint and cute. Loved the setting inside. I think it's a new spot. There was old school candies all over if that's your interest. The food: My taco looked more so like a burrito or Roti vs a taco and was cold so I didn't really like that. The rice was amazing, couldn't get enough, wish I ordered two. A friend posted on social media that they had picked up lunch from this place and had really great things to say about it so I decided to make the drive. 22 minutes for a takeout lunch, let's see if it's worth the hike. I grew up in Niagara Falls so whenever I see a new business pop up I try to check it out and support the local. After driving around for a bit, I happened to notice the shop on the corner of Niagara and 7th. A friend had posted the street signs thankfully! Google maps lists it as Bites Cafe but there's a different name on their Facebook as well as what's on their sign, "F Bites." I was greeted with a smile, well, as much of a smile as you can manage while wearing a mask. They had proper signage about staying safe during covid and had social distancing markers on the floor so that those concerned with standing too close had some guidelines. I was able to order rather quickly and received my to go food in record time. The other patrons with friendly and everyone seemed to know each other. I like places like this, with a warm atmosphere and delicious aromas! There was a lavender lemonade jug in front of the register and there were cute little cups for patrons to sample, all at safe distances, of course. The woman that cashed me out was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the menu. I had asked if the curry was spicy, it was the perfect amount of zing, btw! There was a woman making/selling these cute little peach cobbler dessert cups and I was kicking myself after leaving without one. All in all clean & friendly atmosphere and delicious food. The Greek bowl was great but the curry bowl was by far my new favorite! Sweet, spicy, tangy and at times tart. The coconut rice melted in your mouth and the curry blended all the flavor together. A wonderful arrangement of flavors and for $7.50, you really can't beat it. I'm excited to see if they have daily specials or a regular menu to choose from. I'll definitely be back. I had been looking for a caterer for a small surprise party I was giving my husband! And I couldn't have been more pleased with FBites! It started with some trips after work for lunch. Which everytime you walk in the restaurant, you're greeted so welcoming and genuinely, you can't help but indulge in a taste of their refreshing and tasty Famous Lavender Lemonade they offer as you wait on your food order. (Which is never long)The restaurant was always clean, tidy and well lit and the customer service was impeccable! The food was delicious everytime! Exactly what our tastebuds had been needing! So I was so happy to learn of their catering services!! Working with Jamie during my catering process was a breeze! Her communication skills and customer service were superb! This place at the corner of 7th and Niagara streets in Niagara Falls NY is absolutely fantastic! The food is creative, made with great ingredients and absolutely delicious! And everything on the menu is less than $10 with large portions. Try the shrimp and grits, and the mignon meat loaf. You will come back for more. And Bobby Anderson is a great guy who works hard to make WNY a better place by teaching people, providing free food and generally caring about people. read more
